Lawnbrook Care Home, in Portswood, Southampton, is a purpose-built Residential care home with 30 beds which are all en suite. It has beds available for a variety of residential and dementia care requirements, for long and short term stays, having additional expertise to care for dementia sufferers.

The home is also an ideal facility for people who have physical disabilities, with spacious interiors and comfortable furnishings to ensure that mobility problems are made simpler - with occupancy for couples and friends also.

An open-plan interior makes for a pleasant social setting, with private meeting areas and even a small chapel area.

Lawnbrook is a very caring establishment. The staff are conscientious, hard working and exhibit true empathy with the residents. The atmosphere is one of peace and calm and the food is good. What more can one ask for?

My mother was referred to Lawnbrook Care Home for emergency respite care in mid-February via Social Services and has been here since then as Mum lost Dad on the 11th March and is now a widower. I cannot praise the staff enough for their genuine care and support to Mum.


Overall the care home offers

most of what Mum needs. We feel confident about her care here to date.

My mother-in-law is very happy here she is very well looked after. The staff are really nice friendly and helpful. There are lots of activities for the residents too which is important. They really enjoy the entertainment and so do I.

I visit my sister-in-law with my husband since she has been there (transferred in August 2017) she has got used to the change for her, this did take some time, We have found the staff helpful and caring. She says she wants for nothing and is happy with her room and all the amenities there. We both feel
grateful that she is well looked after and care for. We mostly visit of an afternoon and always given a nice cup of tea and biscuits and cake.

Since the first half of the year, Lawnbrook Care Home appears to have made considerable improvements - in care generally and in appearance and amenities. I understand new owners are continuing this process.
My aunt, aged 93, has settled in after a difficult start and now is much happier. The staff
seem kind and caring and personally, I am much happier about her residence in the home.

We have always found on our weekly visits to my mother that she is content and comfortable, she is always clean in herself and her clothes are kept clean and tidy. There are always staff about in the day room/dining room and they are always alert and aware of residents needs.
Mum's room is smart, airy
and very clean.
We are kept informed of Mum's health and needs as they arise.
Each time we visit we are always offered tea, coffee and biscuits.
We are pleased to see a reasonable program of entertainment to keep residents alert and involved.

My mum has been a resident at Lawnbrook Care Home for around a year now and has settled in really well. She is very happy and looks very well looked after and she says how lovely the staff are. She has just celebrated her 100th birthday and the home, along with the family, put on a party to celebrate.

It was the resident's birthday and the staff had gone to great lengths to make sure he had a happy day.


The staff seemed very caring and responsive to the needs of all the residents.


The building was newly decorated with the use of primary colours in the furnishings which made the ambience bright

and uplifting.

I did a review last year and all my comments are the same. Now my dad has been in Lawnbrook longer my views have grown with more fondness of the place. The staff work so very hard and nothing is ever too much trouble. We have just had a wonderful Easter party which was just lovely. So many families
came, again the staff worked so hard and made the best day for everyone. Thank you everyone.

Job Title: home Manger

Joined: 2021

After moving to the UK from India to pursue my Master’s in Public Health, I transitioned into the health and social care sector. Prior to this, I was a registered pharmacist in India.


In 2021, I joined Lawnbrook as a Senior Carer and was promoted to Head of Care in February 2022. Most recently, in 2025, I was appointed Acting Manager.


My leadership style is centred on empowering my team and fostering a collaborative, supportive work environment. I am deeply committed to ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality care to all residents. I am particularly passionate about building a strong team culture, helping staff work to the full extent of their skills and training, and continuously adapting to evolving models of care.


Outside of work, I am very family-oriented. I enjoy spending time with my family, managing my children’s busy schedules, and making the most of our days out together. I also have a strong interest in cooking, which I find both creative and relaxing.
