View Full Details of Willow CourtWe were greeted in a friendly manner. There was a church related service going on, and everyone was joining in. Very nice. Your staff supplied us with sandwiches and tea. They were all very friendly. Our relative was quite content and happy with her surroundings.
My mum has been given very great care at Willow Court. The team are fantastic, organising super events from the entertainer to cosy afternoon tea. They work tirelessly to welcome each individual to join in activities. I am very grateful for all of their help.
When my mother first went to her room, she found a photograph of her church and a flower arrangement. This immediately made my Mum relaxed and welcomed to the home. Connie and her staff have made her two weeks stay at Willow Court enjoyable and relaxing. After spending her time in her village bungalow on her own and not having many visitors, Mum has got some new friends and can join in the various activities put on by Connie and her staff. Her room is nicely decorated and has a nice view over the landscaped garden. I am hoping that Mum can continue to stay at Willow Court where she will continue to spend time with her new friends.
Dad has had difficulties in care homes previously but he has enjoyed his time here at Willow Court, so thank you to everyone for looking after him so well.
Hi my brother in law had to go into card for a week because his wife had a mild stroke so she needed to rest willow court in harpenden was able to take him in which was great ,but when we visited him on the first day he said he was given a cold shower in the morning the nurse undressed him sat him on the seat under the shower and turned the shower on so cold water went on him he was absolutely shocked by this and screamed eventually the warm water came through she roughly washed him then tired the cold water on again terrible. When we arrived and went up to his floor the smell of urine was absolutely disgusting we walked passed one old lady poor woman absolutely stuck of urine, yesterday we arrived in reception there was a man with a simmer frame wondering around reception absolutely smelling of poo he was still there your later so can imagine how the reception absolutely stuck of him and there was nobody on reception we had to go looking for somebody. This place wants a deep clean and staff need retraining.
Absolutely wonderful setting. My dad looks amazing after just 1 week being here. The staff are great, very helpful to him and us. Room is lovely. He said the food is really good.
Overall, we have had a good experience. My dad is well cared for, although he rarely has socks or slippers on when we visit. The staff are very good and care for Dad very well.
We were absolutely delighted with the care that our Father received during his two weeks in respite at Willow Court. The home has a lovely, friendly atmosphere and the staff are caring, attentive and knowledgeable. There were various activities which made it a stimulating environment for our father. He has the opportunity to take part in musical activity, which he really enjoys, having been musical in earlier life. We are confident that Dad was well looked after at Willow Court and that the staff had his very best interests at heart.
The home is such a happy place. The staff are smiling, and everyone is so helpful. On Saturday, we had our summer fayre and I enjoyed it immensely. I am still feeling happy when I remember the event. It was a lovely day.
The staff look after my mother and sister very well. They are thoughtful and make sure my mother and sister see each other regularly. They make us feel welcome when we visit and help make celebrations like Christmas and birthdays special. My mother has just celebrated her 105th birthday, and the staff all helped her celebrate in style.
Since being at Willow Court, all staff (carers, managers and cleaners) have made the transition for Mum as easy as possible. She now says she feels happy and safe here - a testament to all involved in her care. Many thanks.
I am 100% happy with all my dealings with W.C. My friend is very lucky to be at W.C and I think that the staff are so kind in looking after him. I do not understand how they can be so patient. The great pity is that he does not appreciate how lucky he is. Value for money is not relevant.
I came here for a weeks respite care. During this time I have experienced great assistance and friendliness and cooperation from the staff. I have no problem in recommending the caring I received for the entire time that I was here and two lovely helpers went out their way to bath me a second time because I loved their help on the first occasion. A very big thank you to a very dedicated team.
One week "visiting"- excellent care and attention. Food good. Thank you.
I would like to say that I am very impressed with the new manager at Willow Court, Harpenden. The fact that she is a qualified nurse & dementia nurse - not just an adept manager, is making the care better. The laundry - identification of clothes & loss of glasses, etc - leaves a lot to be desired.
My mother has been welcomed to Willow Court with kindness, courtesy and plenty of smiles and understanding. My sister and I have welcomed the relaxed and easy approach, we can ask staff, carers and at the desk for any information we need. The living area is pleasant, bright and spacious with a dining and sitting area. The activities arranged are very good, inclusive and varied. Willow Court had a very good atmosphere.
My mum needed two weeks of respite, and Willows Court ticked all the boxes. From our initial visit we were impressed with the facilities and most importantly the friendliness/professionalism of the staff. Having spent over 6 weeks in hospital my mum was very keen on a shower which she had on her first full day there and also a haircut which was also quickly arranged. All the staff treated my mum with real respect and helped in her recovery. Thank you!
We chose this home for my wife as it has a very welcoming feel and happy staff, on top of excellent facilities. We were not disappointed. Located in a relatively flat fart of the town allowed the family to access local roads with a wheelchair, including the local golf course clubhouse - access to nature is important to us as a family. Was booked in for one-week respite.
Everyone has been very helpful and supportive to enable me to return to my home. I came here after a 6 week stay in hospital and 4 operations. They enabled me to get out of bed, wash and dress myself and walk with more confidence. Thank you.
My father is in Buttercup & has been for over 2 years. Most of the staff are very good. As most of the management are. A particular staff member is excellent and will always listen to any concerns you may have.
