I cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff, managers and the care given at Old Charlton House. Without exception, each and every single member of staff are so very kind, helpful and caring. My mother in law (Jan) is so happy and content since becoming a resident and her health and overall mood
has improved significantly since her arrival in December.
The staff go above and beyond the expected level of care and nothing is too much trouble whatsoever. The quality of food offered is exceptional and the entertainment offered is extremely fulfilling and varied.
The family-feel and atmosphere within the home is so welcoming. We, as visitors, feel part of a big family and that enables us to relax knowing that Jan is being so well cared for.

I can't thank old Charlton house enough for their care, commitment and communication regarding my mums care there . They combine a highly professional service, but also manage to be loving and fun as well. All the staff are excellent from the management to the carers to the superb activity
organiser. They are always without fail so friendly and caring. . My mum loves it there and is very happy. I'm so grateful we chose old Charlton House out of the many that we visited . It's a pleasure to visit my mum there and see her happy and have a cup of tea and a chat with her carers. A wonderful place.

My mother has been at Old Charlton House for 3 months and has settled well with all the wonderful care and attention of the staff. They spend time with each resident and nothing is too much trouble. OCH has entertainment of all sorts from musicians coming in, crafts, outings for all the residents to
enjoy all organised by the lovely occupational member of staff.
Visitors are free to come and go as wish with no time restrictions.
Old Charlton House is welcoming, very well maintained and has a homely feel.
I feel very comfortable with the choice of residential home we have given mother, knowing that she is being well looked after and it gives us time to spend cherished moments with her in a safe, caring environment. A big thank you to all.

The staff here are always helpful, cheerful and always attentive to their clients. My questions are always answered quickly and clearly.
The Home is always warm, clean and jolly. The food is very good and plentiful.
The daily activities are great fun, whether inside the Home or outside.
I have
no hesitation in recommending Old Charlton House to anyone who asks me.

The managers and care staff at Old Charlton House are very professional. They are kind and attentive to my mother and initiate medical assessments when concerns arise. They are quick to communicate any changes in mums needs and supportive to our family at all times. We are very grateful to them

Nearly a year has passed since our arrival, in that time the staff have been very helpful and have looked after my husband wtih great care and exteme kindness. Whilst being here he has become immobile but even so he has been included in all activities and outings wherever possible. The staff have
welcomed me on my visits. You will notice all my ratings are Excellent, I am unable to mark anything as anything else.

My friend chose Old Charlton House and has been a resident for over five years, she made a very good choice as since she has been there she has been looked after so well.
She has a lovely large room with lots of her own furniture and belongings. She spends a lot of time in the lovely lounge where
Debbie keeps all the residents amused with her various activities. She also takes them out for drives along the sea front, trips on a boat and visits to local cafes!
The other staff are so friendly and caring. They all address me by name and all show a real respect and love for the residents!
I would fully recommend this place to anyone who no longer feels able to look after themselves

Our beloved mum has been a resident at Old Charlton House for just over 4 weeks now and, although this is still early days, the difference that the staff and facilities have made to her life and general demeanour are quite significant. She not only looks very well in herself, she is eating extremely
well and engaging with both fellow residents, the amazing staff and the regular activities provided by OCH.
When we visit, she refers to OCH as her posh hotel. The variety of food options mum is being offered is superb and not only does she tell us she is enjoying all that she eats, she has finally put a few pounds on!
Without exception, the entire team at OCH are outstanding, caring and absolutely nothing is too much trouble. We are so pleased that our mum is with you.

I highly commend Old Charton House. The Home is beautiful and always very well presented. The staff are always friendly and attentive to any questions I may have and also to the care they give to my mother. My mother is very happy and settled and has never wanted to leave since first entering. She
loved her interaction with the residents, when she was more able, but really enjoys the interaction with all the members of staff. They treat her with great dignity and always make her laugh, and laugh at her sense of humour.

I have nothing but praise for everyone who works in Old Charlton House, every aspect of care is exemplary. My Mother is extremely happy there which gives me peace of mind as well. A big shout out to Debbie who has the job of making sure the residents are entertained in a way that provides exercise

I can't express how much appreciation I have for this incredible care home. With such a difficult decision, my family had to mak,e putting our mum in a home, the way my mum is looked after has made it all so much easier. The carers are so incredible, giving and going the extra mile. She has
experienced trips out, themed days, singers, bands performing, fabulous meals and lots of care and attention. The love and care they show, not only to my mum, but to all the residents, is outstanding. They are always welcoming to my family when we visit, giving regular updates on how Mum is doing, sending regular photos, updates on trips out she has attended, always keeping us in the loop. Staff also look after my dad when he visits Mum on a Wednesday for a dinner with her. This is so good for him as he struggles with life after Mum went into the home. Such a lovely idea!
Lastly, to see my mum so happy and content is so amazing to see. Her dementia got so bad that she stopped doing so many things for such a long time. Now her life has got so much better thanks to everything Old Charlton has done for her. The staff are so committed to their job. Caring, loving, hardworking, patient and understanding to each of the residents' needs.
I am so proud my mum is doing so well with the team.
This home is exceptional.

My mum moved into this home in March 2025.
Right from the first phone call with the manager I knew this would be the right place for mum.
Everyone involved in the home are so loving and kind.
They all have time for every resident.
Mums room is lovely and spacious, light and airy.
The food is
amazing. So much choice and mum gets to choose everyday what she wants to eat.
Another thing which is amazing is that the home owns a car with a wheelchair ramp.
Family are allowed to borrow the car to take their loved ones out. I have used the car a few times and am so happy to be able to go out with mum now that she is in her wheelchair.

My mother has been staying at Old Charlton House care home for over 3 years now and has always said she's happy living there.
The staff and management are very caring, friendly and professional people.
The home is run and maintained to a high standard, kept warm, with good food, drink and
entertainment for the residents.
Regular communications with the family and readiness to accommodate wider health assistance where required.
All in all, a thoroughly recommended care home on the Isle of Wight.

My mum has been a resident in Old Charlton House since last September. I visit every day and every day I find the home bright, clean and warm. The management and staff are always very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I have been kept informed of my Mum's wellbeing at all times.
The lovely
activities lady organises plenty of varied activities, outings and entertainment, all of which are throughly enjoyed. It is a pleasure to be there joining in. Any art work produced by the residents is proudly displayed in the home. A monthly newsletter informs us of the latest news on events that have taken place or are planned for the future.
Old Charlton House has lovely solent views with a pretty garden to sit in on sunny days.
Well done Old Charlton House and thank you for looking after my Mum.

We were lucky enough to be able to place our mum in Old Charlton House over a year ago. We are really impressed with the level of care and the professionalism and friendliness of all the staff. Communication is always very good and we feel welcome whenever we visit. Regular activities are provided
by the excellent activities co-ordinator and the home has a very warm and sociable atmosphere. Mum is safe and content at Old Charlton House and we feel very lucky to know that she is loved and well cared for there. Thank you to all the staff for their kindness and dedication.

It is such a relief to my brothers and I to know that our mother is being so well cared for at Old Charlton House, especially as we all live on the Mainland. The bonus for Mum is that OCH is located only about 200 yards from where she lived and all of her friends are still local. The home is clean,
warm and comfortable and all of the staff take a genuine interest in the wellbeing of the residents. The activities programme is fun, varied and always measured to the residents' abilities. Our thanks go to all the dedicated, hard-working staff.

Old Charlton provides an environment that is both caring and professional. My mother feels safe, well cared for and happy there. I have always found the staff to be exceptionally professional and welcoming. They are always available and responsive to any questions I may have about my mother's care.

My dad has been at the Old Charlton House for 2 years now. I am extremely impressed with all the staff, the care and love they provide is amazing. The food is first class. The care he receives is first class.

Mum has been at Old Charlton House for over two years and is very settled there. She has severe dementia, and it is of great comfort to me to know that she is being well cared for 24 hours a day. The staff are always extremely friendly and engage well with the residents and families. Communication
is good regarding any issues that may arise, and the home seems to have a good relationship with the local GP practice.
There is an extremely good package of activities provided on a daily basis, which residents are able to take part in should they wish. This includes board games, visiting musicians, talks on a range of subjects and trips out.
Old Charlton has a nice welcome feel to it, and I wouldn't want Mum to be anywhere else.
