This care home has to be the best care home in Maidstone and probably Kent. The staff go above and beyond for all the residents making sure they are safe and happy. My Mum has been here 3 years now and in that time I could not complain about anything, she is very well looked after and all her needs met. The care home itself has had a major facelift in the last year which has made it absolutely top class. I can't thank the staff enough for everything they do for my Mum they really are all amazing.
Overall staff are welcoming. My relative always seems clean and dressed well. From I have seen of the meals they appetising and my relative always enjoys his food, and seconds if wanted are usually available. Overall, my relative seems fairly happy and content..
My Mum was a resident at Eastfields for about 18 months up to her passing a couple of weeks ago. I can not thank enough the Management team and all of the staff who cared for my Mum. Even during her final moments they held her hand and played music to her. Her passing was so peaceful and dignified. I will never forget what they did for her. I will miss visiting the home, its very nice inside with a lovely garden. I will mostly miss the staff who are excellent, they are so caring and diligent. I would highly recommend Eastfields for the care of your loved ones.
Eastfield has had a difficult period in the last month or two and has made great efforts to maintain a normal day-to-day life for the residents. The physical changes made seem to be working well. Staff make great efforts to ensure that the physical aspects of caring are carried out with respect, but occasionally soiled 'goods' are carried through the living area. I am always made welcome by all.
My wife has been a resident at Eastfield for just over 3 years, and I visit generally 3 times a week, always greeted by management and staff with a smile and a friendly word. She has a room that is light and well decorated and cleaned regularly. Many of the residents suffering with some form of dementia each has their own problems. The main lounge is well used and I have seen very few incidents of stress or anxiety which are handled carefully, and compassionately by both carers and management. A good number of the residents join in and enjoy the various activities.
Sadly the deterioration in my mum cannot be corrected from her nearly 3 year stay. Some members of staff were kind, caring individuals that definitely make some of the darker times a little lighter. My mum has now moved and doing brilliantly.
We always feel welcome and supported whenever we enter the doors to Eastfields. We find the staff and management are always on hand for any help we need. Mum enjoys all the variety of foods and drinks on offer to her, she enjoys the activities that are arranged especially balloon games or books. Mum has been looked after very well and has often called it her home. The home is cleaned daily. Families are always invited to any events taking place which are a very good social occasion to attend.
The management and all staff in the home are always kind, thorough and proactive in providing individualised care to every resident. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the residents enjoy lovely food, hot drinks and snacks frequently throughout the day. There is always a family atmosphere where the staff are smiley and visitors most welcome. The Manager and her team are highly experienced in all aspects of nursing and dementia care. The residents are relaxed and always clean and comfortable and staffing numbers are good. When residents are unwell, their changing needs are well met and residents thrive on the care that they receive.
Since my sister has lived at Eastfields which has been over 4 years, she has lost lots of weight, she has received many injuries some due to falls, other injuries we will never know as always unwitnessed. Also been involved in many incidents. The list is endless. My sister got onset of dementia at just 49 yrs picks dementia. Lost her voice around 7 years. Was one of the youngest in Eastfield with dementia. There is now a safeguarding raised by dentist and ENT doctors for severe neglect of a mouth infection. My sister was on the verge of sepsis. We have now removed my sister from this care home.
My mother entered Eastfield Community Home on 10th August 2023. She died in the early hours of 21 June 2024. The care and support that she received from the staff was excellent and the way in which they prepared her for, and supported her, through her final demise was brilliant. This ensured a peaceful and comfortable departure from the world for my dear mother.
I feel my mother is safe and looked after. Her room is comfortable and has an en-suite toilet which is good. The food is excellent and looks very appetising. I would love to see more organised activities for the residents but overall I am very happy with the care given. The majority of the staff are kind and caring with some being absolutely outstanding. Thank you.
My step-mum thinks she is in a hotel. The activities provided by the staff and the many events ensure there are always plenty of fun and interesting things for her to do. There is a very caring and compassionate atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. The staff do everything with a smile and care. She is very happy there. Though far away we are kept very well informed and made to feel involved with her care.
The management of Eastfield is brilliant, the care staff are also great. My mum likes the staff very much. If you have any questions staff and management are always there to answer. The home is very clean and is always clean. You have a key to your own door of and my mum finds this comforting to know her items are safe.
Staff are very understanding and caring, under sometimes very difficult circumstances. I find Eastfield very clean and comfortable, especially where hygiene is concerned. I would like to express a big thank you especially to the manager at Eastfield as she goes out of the way to keep me informed by progress and events and any changes that may occur.
What a wonderful day my sister and I had with our mother. Several large tented areas were set up with table and chairs and finger snacks on each. There was disco music with a singer in attendance. A barbecue was also distributed to everyone. It must of taken a lot of hard work for the staff to arrange this event. A most joyous day for all, especially the residents.
My mother is currently a resident and has been for 2 years. Previously my father was there. The family and I have found the staff, care, and environment extremely good. The manager is exceptional, always willing to listen to concerns and provide information where necessary. Mum is extremely happy in the home and is always saying 'the staff are so lovely'. During covid, the staff went above and beyond.
I visit as a friend - I also visited the former care home and the comparison is obvious. Open plan, continual staff presence and cheery music - all contribute to a sense of real caring despite the 'unawareness' of some of the residents. Most impressed by the numbers of staff around and interaction with the residents. A pleasure to visit indeed.

The home always seems very clean with cleaning carried out most days. The food is well presented with choices given to the residents. The staff are very friendly and respectful. I have worked with Eastfield since 2008 for the care of four relatives over this time. It really is a 'home from home'. My parents were able to continue living together in a double room until my father's passing which was a great comfort. In the last few months, the team have provided first class, compassionate support, managing palliative care for my mother. I am very grateful to them. Eastfield has also transformed the life of my mother-in-law. The activities and engagement of the staff are first class and have transformed the mental health of my mother-in-law. She is treated with the utmost respect and is manoeuvred carefully and effectively. She is very happy at Eastfield - it has given her her life back!
