View Full Details of St Peter's Care HomeMy brother has been at St Peter's Care Home for 2.5 years now and I can honestly say I couldn't be happier that I chose this place for him. My first impressions were that he will be very well looked after and cared for. St Peter's had (and still has) a warm, friendly and caring feeling to it together with smiling and happy staff who made Michael feel 'at home' and safe. When he arrived he was poorly and frail and needed 24 hour care. I was so concerned for his recovery following a cancer operation. He has always received excellent care in every aspect and within one month he had put on a stone in weight. What a huge relief! He has gone from strength to strength with the care he has received from ALL the lovely management and staff. He is a permanent resident and knowing his future is happy and secure gives me and our family the peace of mind we need. I cannot fault St Peter's. Also I am extremely grateful for the support and kindness they show to me. So grateful to you all xxx
St Peter's Care Home is a lovely welcoming, homely place where all residents are treated with kindness, respect and outstanding care. My mum feels very much at home here and feels safe in the knowledge that she is looked after so well. The staff work tirelessly to ensure that residents have their best experience of living here; nothing is too much trouble and each person is treated with genuine respect, dignity and compassion. My mum feels privileged to live here and says so frequently - she absolutely loves her room too! I feel very fortunate that my mum is in a home that looks after her do well and endeavours to make her life here as happy as possible.
My mother has been in St Peter's since November 24 and we have constantly found all levels of staff professional caring and very friendly and supportive, the home is always very clean and welcoming and I have found that I don't worry about her if I can't get in to see her for a day or two because I know the staff will be doing their usual excellent job of caring for her.
Pleasant rest home, nice and clean, and staff are friendly. Food although satisfactory, could do with some improvement. Residents well looked after.
My mother-in-law is thoroughly enjoying her time at St Peter's. She enjoys both the company of other residents and staff. She is extremely well cared for by all staff members and enjoys the various entertainment and wide variety of food.
Moving to this care home was a carefully considered transition. It was an emotionally exhausting experience for those closest to my grandmother as it needed to be the right establishment to meet needs but also to support the well-being of someone leaving their home of nearly 60 years plus. From the moment my grandmother moved she was made to feel welcome by all staff as were we as her family. The staff continue to show care and consideration treating my grandmother with the dignity and respect that she deserves. Thank you St Peter's.
Mum was assessed in her home environment before having a month respite in February. Staff were amazing to Mum and her visitors from start to finish, kind and friendly, doing all they could to make her feel welcomed and comfortable. Mum was fully included in all activities within the home and joined in with more than we thought she would. We can't thank the staff enough and will not hesitate to book another stay when required. The home had a comfortable, homely feel. Would totally recommend this home to anyone.
My mum was apprehensive about care home life but settled in from day one. She was made to feel so welcome, and her care has been exemplary. Mum has a lovely sea-view room that she loves. It is comfortable, warm and homely. She has regained lost weight and is enjoying the company of others, both resident and staff. My mum enjoys a mix of activities, in particular, bingo, and she has had the best Christmas for years. The decorations, food and entertainment were all much more than expected due to the dedication of all the staff. St Peter's makes everyone feel very welcome, residents, friends and family alike.

I have no hesitation in recommending St Peter's as a care home for loved ones. The staff are, without exception, so professional, friendly, helpful and supportive to both residents and their families. The facilities, cleanliness, garden and activities are all wonderful, and I am confident that my mum and uncle will be content and cared for in their final years.
My uncle has been a resident at St Peter's Care Home since November 2018, and we have been very satisfied with the care/support he has received during that time, particularly given the tremendous extra pressure on management and staff relating to the Covid situation. The general facilities etc, have also met expectations.
My experience has been good. The communication between home and myself has been excellent. The carers are kind, conscientious and welcoming. The home is efficiently organised and to me, everything runs smoothly.

Staff are very helpful, answer all our questions, and medical info is passed on to us very well. The maintenance men have been great in helping us to get my aunt settled into her room. She seems quite happy there. This is all new to us, but the staff have been great. We feel so happy with her being there.
