Our dad was a resident after choosing to make it home after 2 weeks of respite
Dad enjoyed the whole experience, kind friendly supportive staff and management, activities and the meals, his own ensuite room and homely atmosphere.Interacting with other residents.
Unfortunately dad is no longer
living here due to unforeseen health issues which staff and management dealt with immediately and got him relevant medical support, we cannot thank them all for the care and joy they bought to his life there.
Would definitely recommend Rochester care home for your family member and family support for relatives .
Thankyou all for everything, much appreciated and so grateful for all your support.

I found Rochester Care Home very good. All staff are excellent. The home is very clean/tidy.
The manager is very helpful.

It is a difficult thing to make a decision to put your mum into care, but unfortunately sometimes necessary. The manager and staff are wonderful, understanding and attentive to mums needs and take great care in ensuring she is put first. They are an asset to the world of care and I sleep better
knowing my mum is now cared for and safe and my stepdad can rebuild his life and become a husband again not just a carer.

My mum has been in this care home for about 5 months. She has always praised the staff for how hard they work and how clean it is. Mum has now settled in well. She did struggle at first, wanting to go home, but with everyone's patience and care, she is far happier now. It appears everyone is kind
and thoughtful to her, but mum has a particular connection with the manager who made her laugh, pulls her leg in humour, and makes her feel special and loved. We are very happy with her care.

I am very happy with the care she is getting. Her room is always clean and tidy, and I am happy with all the activities. The staff are lovely.

My mother spent the last 6 months of her life here. The family couldn't have been happier with the care provided. The food was fantastic, including a homemade cake on her birthday, and there were plenty of activities for the residents.

My friend is well cared for by thoughtful, friendly, sincere staff. The provision of stimulating activities is excellent; residents are encouraged to try things, but not forced. I have experienced a therapy dog visit, a quiz, singing, colouring and several other art/craft activities. It is a happy
place. Kept beautifully clean, tidy and safe. The lounge is a fairly spacious, light and airy room for residents to socialise (where I meet up with my friend) and my friend's private room is a lovely, quiet, personal space.

Our mum was admitted to rochester care home after a short stay at another home which wasn't meeting her needs and she was deteriorating very quickly. Rochester care home assessed mum and said they could meet her needs and they are most definitely meeting her needs.. Since mum has been admitted to
rochester care home she is like a new woman. My brother and I were worried she wouldn't see the rest of the year in the last place. But by some miracle they've got our mum socialising making new friends and joining in the activities. As a family we are soo happy. And mum herself has said she's much happier and the staff are amazing. I live away from Kent and the staff members make sure I get pictures every week to keep me in the loop. Everyone has been so kind and welcoming

I have found the whole experience, a positive experience. The staff are always happy to assist with any questions or assistance, my father's care is of a high standard, he is happy, well cared for, meals provided are nutritionally balanced. The staff always keep me informed of any medical
appointments. Activities provided for residents six days a week, everyone going above and beyond.

I am very happy with the way my mother is treated in the home, her needs are met with care and safe support, she is listened to and is happy to talk to the staff. The staff make a fuss of her and are always kind and thoughtful. Although quite deaf she is interested with all the activities the staff
put on her dementia can raise a few problems but they are met with gentle reassurance and support. I am very happy with the home, its residents and staff. Management is always on hand to give guidance.

Mum has moved to the home from Hospital after a fall. She has been settled after just a couple of days.
Staff are friendly - all that I have come into contact with have greeted me with a smile and said hello.
Everywhere is clean and plenty of space to move around.
Love the outdoor space too.
I know that there are activities but I haven't been present when they have been run so not commented. Although I have seen pictures of the residents colouring and having a visit from some animals so presume they are good too.

My mother-in-law has been here doe less than a week and we are so pleased with every aspect of the home.
The manager is very approachable and the home is overall lovely.

This was my first visit to see my aunt. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. My aunt's room was lovely and clean and all her possessions were carefully stored, making her comfortable and relaxed.

Dad needed urgent admission following a fall at home. The manager saw us within half an hour and Dad was admitted the next day. An impressive start!
Dad established an immediate rapport with the manager and staff, and the safe, welcoming atmosphere has resulted in remarkable improvements in his
appearance, appetite, sense of humour, and motivation.
Many thanks to everyone for their support and genuine caring engagement with Dad, and for welcoming us when we visit. They have given the whole family great peace of mind.

All staff are fantastic, also the entertainment they bring to residents are fantastic. The 2 ladies who organise the entertainment are fantastic. The staff cares for the patients, also the quality of the food is fantastic. Also very organised and very, very clean there. Management there are also
fantastic. I hope I am brought here when I am old and fragile.

Since moving my mum into Rochester Care Home, she has been a lot happier. We find the overall running by the carers and the management to be exceptional.

As soon as l walked into this home l was given 1st class treatment by the lovely Manager. She went over and above to place my ex Husband who l had been caring for for the last 4 years. He was given a room and could move in the following day. I cannot praise all the staff enough. Every single one
together with the Manager.
Were absolutely brilliant. I was totally exhausted and they took over and got everything moving so quickly, that I would go as far as to say the Manager was my lifesaver. It is an excellent home and all the residents are extremely happy and so well cared for. The home is the best home I have visited and feel extremely lucky to have placed my ex-husband there.

Mum was a resident of Rochester Care Home for nearly 6 years. I cannot thank the manager and her wonderful team enough for all they did for her while she was there. She could not have been in a better place for the last years of her life.
As a family, we have got to know the staff as dear friends
who have always greeted us with a cheery smile and 'gone that extra mile' for all involved.
Mum spent the last two weeks of her life receiving palliative care. She was treated with dignity and compassion. My family have felt very supported by the manager and her staff during this difficult time for which we are truly thankful.
We cannot praise Rochester Care Home enough for the work they do.
