I have been visiting echeldforde care home to see my grandmother for the last 2 years and can't fault it at all. From the welcoming staff to the endless activity's and day trips to keep the residents busy, it's a great environment for the residents to chat and enjoy themselves. Would highly recommended to anyone looking for a care home in the area.

My father started living at Echelford January 2025, we cannot thank the staff enough , they made him so welcome and family to Everyone goes above and beyond you really get a sense of being part of a big family there. Dad has settled so well they meet everybody's needs individually, there are so many activities for them to do , always music which my Dad loves, staff even when very busy always have time for you . There is always a happy friendly atmosphere, the place is spotlessly clean and residence are always very clean and well dressed .Although you never think your Dad is going to end up in a home , I think he is extremely lucky to be cared for at Echelford we wouldn't want him to be anywhere else Thank You everyone at Echelford

Staff are lovely and friendly and accommodating , activities are superb and varied. The home is kept immaculately clean. Sense of caring throughout. Nothing is too much trouble for any member of the team.

The staff at Echelforde have all been so lovely and professional. There are always plenty of activities and stimulation for the residents. They made the transition simple and helped my mum settled so well. 10/10

Mum has been a resident for six months now. In that time I have been very pleased with the care mum has been given. Any medical issues are looked into and followed through with the weekly nurse visits making any necessary decisions. The daily activities provided for all residents is simply amazing. I also love the way that local schools and play groups are encouraged to be a part of big family feel at Echelforde .

I left a review here regarding the wonderful help and care given to my friend during the two years she spent at Echelforde. I hope I may be permitted to add a further review regarding the help and friendship they have shown to me since my friends passed, I visit them regularly and am always made very welcome, I find it comforting to have a chat with the manager if she is available or from other members of staff that I got to know in the past two years. Of course, their main work is to provide for the residents, which they do very well, but I think that the help and compassion they show to friends and family of former residents should not go unrecognised.

I cannot thank this home enough for what they have done for my Granddad. He has never been happier and we as a family have never felt our Grandad has been safer or better looked after than he is now. The activities are just fantastic there's always events for residents and relatives to attend and they care so much about the residents. The home is always clean and presentable and I love coming to visit. I trust this home so much with my grandads care and it truly is the best, as I have worked in care in the past I know what true care looks like- it's Echelforde.

My dear friend spent the final two years of her life at Echelforde care home. I didn't know what to expect as this was my first experience of a care home, my mind was soon put at ease when I got to know the Manager and her staff and saw the way that they cared for her, she soon settled in and enjoyed all the wonderful activities that are provided by the wonderful staff, who work really hard at making the residents lives as happy as possible. During my regular visits, I got to know all the staff and saw just how caring and professional they are, in the way they looked after my friend and all the residents. One member of staff was very helpful when I had to deal with my friend's finances and smoothed the way for me in unfamiliar territory. I still go in to see the staff, who I look upon as friends and I am still made very welcome by them all, they have helped me through a difficult time and I hope to continue visiting them all in the future.

My mum was feeling unwell as she left the care home for a day with my niece, one Team leader saw my mum looking wobbly, raised the alert, got a chair for mum to sit down on and everyone came out to help. Another Team Leader was wonderful as well - my niece would like to say a bit thank you! You were calm and composed. The next day I went over as mum was still not feeling great and I have to say the Two Team Leaders were just fantastic! They called 111 and waited until the Out of Hours Doctor came to see mum. One Team Leader stayed on well past her finish time to ensure all details of the Doctor's visit were recorded and new medication instructions were entered into the system for the next shift. Thank you so very much for your understanding, professionalism and kindness. One Team Leader is aptly named as you are indeed a star - thank you for taking care of my mum and just your presence seems to reassure her. To all the Team Leaders thank you too for all your help and concern. We do, as a family really appreciate everything you do for mum!

Echelforde Care Home has been a godsend for our family. Mom, with her severe dementia, has thrived in their care for over a year. The staff's dedication is unparalleled – their enthusiasm is infectious, and their attention to detail is remarkable. From delicious meals to engaging activities, the manager and her team go above and beyond to make life enjoyable for residents. They even organize frequent concerts and events, some open to families, fostering a sense of community and inclusivity. Given their exceptional care and commitment, we strongly believe Echelforde deserves a perfect 10 rating.

The care home is very well-staffed. The activities are amazing. The team go above and beyond to help. The Manager is also so kind and helpful and so organised. The home is clean and always positive.

I was unable to visit my brother over Christmas and New Year as I had flu. Echelforde Care Home were brilliant over Christmas. Always making sure the residents had a wonderful Christmas. They always have loads of activities to keep the residents busy and happy. They are a very caring team.

Absolutely amazing home, I visited my grandfather at Christmas and the whole experience was just faultless. The team are doing an amazing job and I’ve never seen my grandad as happy as he is here! Thank you to all the team!

Visited the home whilst a fantastic Valentine's event was happening. The activity staff were going over and above to ensure all the residents were included, even the Manager joined in. So impressed with the care received and also the brilliant Facebook page which was loaded with some fantastic activities and outings

I must give praise to all the staff at Echelforde for the excellent care they have always given to mum, but in particular, for the way they have looked after her since she became very ill towards the end of last year. I really believe that without the extra care and kindness towards mum and also to myself, we wouldn't be where we are now with her improving so well.

All of the staff at Echelforde have always been welcoming and friendly. The care shown to my aunt has always been exceptional. The staff are knowledgeable, and compassionate and make my aunt feels at home. The range of activities provided by Echelforde is nothing short of impressive, my aunt is never short of things to do.

The team at Echelforde make the lives of the residents full of love and activity. They put so much care into planning activities and excursions for the residents to enjoy that are tailored towards each person so well. You can tell that they love their jobs and those that they care for.

I have found Echelforde Care Home to be extremely professional and well managed. The staff are all amazing people who are dedicated to caring for the residents and ensuring their dignity at all times. They go above and beyond to ensure the residents are happy. The activities provided are varied and stimulating and it’s also wonderful to see the photos posted regularly on the website, so we can see what everyone's been doing, especially throughout the Covid period. During the recent difficulties, the pod was erected outside in record time to enable visits, which my mum and I were so very grateful for. I am always informed of any problems however small and I feel my mother is in extremely good hands day and night, which is an enormous relief to me and my family. I could not wish for my mother to be in a better place and I know she is very happy there because she tells me all the time how lucky she is! I would not hesitate to recommend Echelforde to any family.

My Mother has recently become a full-time resident and is settling well. The staff are all excellent and extremely caring and have kept in regular touch with myself if necessary. Everything from my initial enquiry to Mum's move has been handled efficiently and with care and the home offers plenty of activities to stimulate the residents. I would highly recommend this care home.

My mum moved into Echelford Care Home earlier in the new year. It has been heartwarming to see her return to being the vibrant fun-loving person she was as a younger woman. Mum is always dressed immaculately and always speaks very highly of how well she is looked after. The regular Facebook pictures have helped keep us in touch with Mum, and recently, I have been able to enjoy visits in person. The activities within the home help to keep her stimulated, and she thoroughly all of them. The team at Echelford have always been very helpful and welcoming to me and have been a pleasure to meet.
