Comments are made as an occasional visitor, so based on limited exposure to the home. All staff encountered or dealt with have been very friendly, welcoming, helpful and accommodating. In particular I have been impressed by how accommodating and flexible the home has been in connection with a pre-Christmas party for my mother; the food for which was also excellent in quality and quantity.
I am enjoying myself living here. Lovely people and I really like the food. I am very happy here.
My stay has been very satisfactory.
I had spent 8 weeks in hospital after having an amputation and numerous falls. I am also a Type 1 diabetic with heart failure. I needed a short time of continued nursing care while recovering enough to go home. Eversfield was so welcoming and friendly that I immediately felt comfortable. There is nothing I would want to criticise. My visitors were made most welcome too and appreciated their coffee and biscuits in the lovely conservatory. My wife could relax knowing I was being looked after so well.
My mother was admitted on Monday, 10th November. From the admission day, the home were so welcoming, we were offered a meal with mum, and the food was delicious and very well presented. Mum's room is beautiful with an en-suite and garden view. Staff are always smiling, and the care is excellent. The home manager met us and answered all of our questions. She did not rush us and was very informative. It is a lovely home.
The nurses and carers were all very kind and attentive to my mum. The range and frequency of activities was excellent for socialisation and sessions were run by enthusiastic team members. Her room was lovely, light, spacious and attractive. The building itself is very attractive with lots of space and plenty of different living rooms - more like a country house hotel than a care home.
We are relieved that Pat survived transfer from the west midlands. She has responded well to care, companionship and good food. We are s happy that we transferred Pat to Everfield.
Such a warm and caring place from the moment I entered the building Chole and Kate in the front office really knew how to treat us. We sat and had a lovely lunch together and noticed all the staff were attentive and polite. Everywhere was bright, fresh and clean. My mum and dad felt and looked happy!
Overall, we are very happy with the care Mum receives. We have had issues with her menu choices, but we are working with the chef to correct the issues. It is not about the quality of food, but more to do with a breakdown in communication between ticket items on the sheet and what mum actually receives. Yesterday, I was there for supper time and mum did not receive what was ticked on the sheet.
We visited my husband's Aunt for her 100 years birthday party yesterday. It was a lovely occasion decorations were up and plenty of seating available for chatting. The room was light and airy with a very pleasant conservatory addition where the food was served. The great grand children were enjoying the activities in a separate room but popped in and out in a sociable way. A wonderful assortment of sandwiches, cake and desserts plus plentiful beverages. Overall we are so pleased that my husband's favourite Aunt is being so well looked after after a life of looking after others.
My mother's health has transformed since she became a resident back in September 2024. Her skin glows, she smiles now and she looks so well. The staff have all gone above and beyond to look after my mum and I am ever so grateful. I now have peace of mind knowing she is safe and surrounded by people who are so caring. Thank you Eversfield.
Mum has been resident at Eversfield for nearly three years now. I am so pleased that we found Eversfield for her amid other suspect alternatives. The environment is stylish and well appointed with good facilities. Though this is lovely, by far the thing I value most is the team that work there from the kitchen through housekeeping, maintenance, the nursing and entertainment staff, reception and management. From the very start, they have all shown genuine caring and have provided excellent service. It was challenging for Mum at the beginning but with the care of Eversfield she has found a new home.
Eversfield is one of the most inviting care homes I have visited. There is always a welcoming hello and smile from those who answer the door, and that welcome continues as I walk through the home, from everyone I meet. The atmosphere is light and airy and has the ambience of a quality hotel. Care is taken to dress the communal rooms with decorations for the relevant season. All the staff are attentive to the residents and are unfailingly kind and supportive, and patience is definitely on offer all the time. There are numerous activities and outings arranged such that it would be possible to be busy all day every day if one wanted! I would not hesitate to recommend Eversfield to any prospective resident.
Outstanding nursing home with dedicated long service and well trained members of staff. Delicious and varied food and beautiful well kept surroundings. Most of all a fabulous schedule of activities to suit and meet residents physical, intellectual, social and spiritual needs.
Eversfield provides my mum with consistently good care. I particularly value the activities team and their programme and the quality of staff who have been in post-long-term, implying happiness in their work and of being valued by the management team, residents and their relatives. Eversfield House feels like 'a home' and individual care of their residents is apparent.
My father came to Eversfield just before Christmas for respite care and I can't thank them enough for making him feel welcome, helping him to settle and care for him. The home is clean and tidy and was beautifully decorated for Christmas. Staff at all levels are patient and friendly and you get a real sense that they truly care about everyone there. I have eaten there myself with my father and the food is lovely and always a choice. Both my father and I feel supported as we navigate our way through later life care. It is a special and warm place. There are a range of activities but greater funding in this area would help to offer more variety for residents and also provide resilience for more staff if needed.
My review is based on my and my mother-in-law’s experience. When I come into the home all the staff welcome me and take time to talk to me. My Mother in Law says the staff and very friendly and caring, the food is very good and she feels safe here. It would be lovely if there was more funding allocated to increase the variety of activities available to the residents to encourage all residents. It is excellent that the spiritual needs of the residents are catered for by holding regular services at the home.
Excellent. Very friendly.
The building, the garden, the facilities and the activities are excellent. But what makes Eversfield the wonderful place it is, is the staff. My mum never fails to tell me how fantastic everyone is, not only in the superior care they provide her but simply because every single one of them is a “lovely” person. I know that this is no accident and I applaud the recruitment ethics. On a personal level, as a regular visitor, I totally concur with this. I’m always greeted with a smile and look forward to my visits. I could not be happier with our choice of care home.
My dad came to Eversfield in January 2023 despite him having some illnesses which has set him back healthwise the care of all the staff has been amazing. His needs have changed substantially and we are kept fully informed about changes in his care. The night staff are incredible and of course, everyone, senior staff, carers, chefs and cleaners, all give Dad time and care.
