View full details of Greys Residential Homewonderful caring setting, staff know residents very well and are sensitive to their individual personalities and needs. I am so grateful for the care provided to my mum throughout her stay, she has been there for two years now.
My whole experience with Greys was positive from the very first contact to my Mums last day. The team were cheerful, friendly, supportive and helpful. They helped make Mums last months so much more comfortable than we could have done without them.
Greys are a wonderful family, mum felt safe loved and well cared for. We as a family always felt welcome, informed and supported. Staff treated mum like an individual with her own wants, needs and personality and encouraged her to express her individuality even when she requested a cheeky birthday Pole dancer. . They made it happen and it was so artistic and tasteful everyone loved it. Mum loved the regular entertainment and celebrations which always came with lovely food and drinks and a little dancing which mum always dragged staff and residents up for. I can not thank all of the Greys staff, management and owners enough for all of the genuine love and care and allowing mum to spend a wonderful 3 years of her life with them and enabling us to rebuild our relationship which for 40 years had been challenging. Mum passed peacefully on 30th Nov 2025 surrounded by all those who loved her, Thank-you Greys. Kindest regards RP
For the last 3 yrs that my sister lived at Greys were probably the best years for her! She was 85% blind and was so well looked after by the staff that they really brought out the best of her personality and happiness! In the last 6 months she was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and we were loath to move her, management and staff agreed to keep her there until she passed which enabled her family to visit her right up to the day she passed. Myself and her daughter were there to the end! All excellent staff caring and kind!
My mother passed away at Greys Residential Home on August 17th 2025, a place that mum and myself could not fault, such a loving caring place for it to happen. Mum had been there for 4 years such a wonderful place for the elderly, that needs care and love in their last years of life. I could not thank them enough when the sad time happened. I would say to anyone, Greys is a place to go, for best care, love and respect. Thank you Greys.
I live 7000 miles away, but in constant communications with mum who has now been a resident for 8 months. Every phone call she says she is happy and content. she tells me all the staff look after her well, she feels its just like family. So while I'm away i don't have to worry i know she is safe. Being over from the states at the moment was it the right decision to place her at Greys? All I can say is YES. I've watched them with her and they are so caring. She says the food is good and I have to say its top quality food provided in a family atmosphere where they all sit together while eating. Her room is always spotless, her clothes always clean, the whole care home is pristine. Everyday they have activities which mum enjoys and we get a monthly update on what's going on. Greys is lead by a very strong, competent manager and team. The staff are amazing doing one of the hardest jobs out there with such care and understanding. I cant praise them highly enough. All I can say is thankyou
My mum has been at Greys now for six months. She has settled well and is enjoying her time at Greys. She's learnt new skills by joining in with the art classes! I can't speak more kindly of Greys and their excellent staff.
When first arriving at the care home I found a welcome from every management. Every carer I met seemed to understand my needs. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Within a day pretty well one of the staff would make a point of calling in to make sure all was well. I wish I had made the move ages ago. It was really the best thing that I have done. They all knew my name. I dont regret this move. I think it springs from a excellent manager who is the right one for a not easy job.
My Grans lived here for several years, she has been really well looked after and the staff seem to have gotten to know her well and take good care of her. Thank you to all the staff for all your hard work.
My mum was very happy here and I was happy with her care ,the staff felt like family and I felt I knew them and that they all cared about me and my mum.Mum died suddenly in February and I was devastated, unfortunately this is where things went wrong .Staff need more training how to treat the bereaved ,even little things like the state of mum's room after her death were ignored. No help was offered when we tearfully emptied her room.No representative came to her funeral. As if my mother's death was difficult enough to deal with to be treated so coldly was a real slap in the face.
Greys Residential Home is a lovely building in a beautiful, quiet road just outside Woking town centre. My mother-in-law's room has a lovely outlook and is spotlessly clean and bright. Everyone of the staff are kind, caring and professional. I cannot recommend the home enough.
I am more than satisfied with all aspects of the care that I have received. The standards an kindness are excellent and the staff & manager always go above and beyond to help. They create a friendly, homely atmosphere and I love the light bright rooms & garden. In shot, I am very happy at Greys.
I don't know how they run such a professional outfit with such a happy atmosphere and such wonderful feeling care.
My father made Greys his home in August 2023 and he lived there for thirteen months before he passed away suddenly earlier this month. He was a quiet, private and fiercely independent man who always knew he would find being in a care home difficult. That said he settled into Greys almost immediately and would go to the dining room twice a day for meals and some company. He enjoyed being cooked for and he went on a few of the arranged outings on offer; these involved trips to local pubs, a garden centre and a ride along the canal on a boat. Greys always felt homely and the staff were excellent. I never felt there were too few staff or that they seemed overstretched with their duties. I liked the fact that Greys was privately owned and not part of a large organisation. I would definitely recommend Greys to anyone looking for a good caring home for their elderly loved one.
Throughout my mother's long stay at Greys, I always found that the care and attention that she received was first class. The staff were very kind and professional and were always friendly and willing to help Mum be as comfortable as possible. Mum always enjoyed the high standard of freshly prepared meals. Social activities organised by Greys made Mum very happy.
Friendly atmosphere. The building was a family home and although it has been extended, it still has a homely feel. My friend was encouraged to have lunch downstairs in the dining room but the rest of the time she was allowed to rest in her room, which she liked to do. Greys is not in a care or nursing home category nevertheless they did a good job in keeping residents safe during the pandemic. My friend had a pretty good 4 and a half years there and only had to move because her dementia sadly became more marked, and she now needs nursing home care.
My friend was a resident at Greys for almost 5 years. The home is in a lovely setting and beautifully decorated. The staff were caring and always responded to her needs. Thank you Greys for the care you showed during this very important part of her life.
My sister and I knew as soon as we walked through the door of Greys that this would be an excellent choice for my mother who has mixed dementia and associated behaviours. The staff are kind and have done their utmost to settle her in, accommodating many requests. The manager and staff treat everyone as individuals with compassion and understanding. There is an activity most days and the home is open to suggestions for different outings from residents and their families. My mother has said the food is nice and appreciates a glass of wine with her meals. The building is well maintained and there is a helpful handyman to keep on top of any issues. It is reassuring to know that my mother is in a safe and caring environment.
Came here for respite care. Care so good, made the decision to stay in residence.
My mother-in-law stayed at Greys whilst her broken arm healed and she was incredibly well looked after, she absolutely loved her stay there. The staff were so friendly, very caring, supportive and understanding and she was so impressed with the food which she said was fantastic. Her stay was the perfect convalescence for her, so thank you to everyone at Greys for being so instrumental in her healing and in restoring her confidence.
