Our Mum only moved in to Greys last month but already the care & kindness she has received has been so lovely & reassuring to find.
She has a nice light room, which already feels like a little version of home from home.
It's a hard time of life for Mum, & therefor us too, but we feel very supported & it's very easy to communicate & feel heard.
The staff each bring something different and gel together with a nice sense of fun & family.

It's very informal but also very professionally run. Looking forward to a good summer at Greys.Thank you all.

We look forward to a settled and happy future for her so that you can relax.

My mum was a resident at Grays upto a couple of weeks ago when unfortunately she had to go into hospital and has passed way.
I was so lucky that I found Grays, the manager and staff were so lovely and empathetic to my mum and also helped me to cope with my mums deteriorating health. I look back fondly at videos and photos of the birthday party they did for my mum which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Thank you to the whole Grays team. Xxx

Greys has proven to be a wonderful home for my mother. It's family run, small, in a residential area and does not feel institutional at all. It feels like home. Bedrooms are upstairs and surround a courtyard and a re-furbished comfortable living and dining room is downstairs.
My mother is now receiving end of life care and it couldn't be better. She is kept comfortable and looked after. The staff communicate constantly with us, her family. A community nurse is on call and doctors regularly visit.
The care staff and manager are always on hand day and night and, because the home is small, it's easy to form a relationship with them. They are very responsive to Mum's needs. There's also a lot of humour.
Food is great too.

We looked at nine different homes and this is the one that really stood out for us. Mum settled in straight away without any problems.

The staff at Greys are kind, caring and understanding of my mother's needs which can be challenging. It is a small care home and therefore it does feel very personal and homely. As her relatives, we really appreciate being included in the summer and winter events, some of which are organised by the staff. The last quiz was good fun. A big thank you to everyone at Greys.

Mum moved in last May and staff were very helpful at making the transition as easy as possible. Problems that arose were dealt with promptly by management and the staff are all friendly and approachable. The home has a calm feel to it, we have been to a Greek afternoon, Quiz night and Christmas party which were all great fun and the food was amazing.

Mum came to Greys in December 2024 as a emergency resident. Social services demanded she had 24 hour care due to dementia and we had to find a home near myself and my brother.. He was away, so I had to find a home for her. What I liked about Greys, is it is actually a converted house, and a good relationship of staff to residence. I was also impressed meeting the manger who explained the set up, and showed me a couple of rooms for the price, and we could choose one. Mums room is small, but the really good thing I was really sold on, was the ensuite wet room, with toilet., she also has a television in the room. When she first arrived, she was a real misery guts, now after a full year, she loves the staff and has made some friends. The manager is always willing to listening to minor gripes that an old lady has, and sorts them out.

Mum has been at Greys for a few years now. The team have always been so caring and supportive of her and were even willing to care for her when we thought we had reached her end of life. Fortunately, mum has pulled through, with the help of the team, and they have certainly gone above and beyond to make her comfortable and, more importantly, make it feel like home.

Thank you all for being there.

Greys are a wonderful family, mum felt safe loved and well cared for. We as a family always felt welcome, informed and supported.
Staff treated mum like an individual with her own wants, needs and personality and encouraged her to express her individuality even when she requested a cheeky birthday Pole dancer. . They made it happen and it was so artistic and tasteful everyone loved it.
Mum loved the regular entertainment and celebrations which always came with lovely food and drinks and a little dancing which mum always dragged staff and residents up for.
I can not thank all of the Greys staff, management and owners enough for all of the genuine love and care and allowing mum to spend a wonderful 3 years of her life with them and enabling us to rebuild our relationship which for 40 years had been challenging.

Mum passed peacefully on 30th Nov 2025 surrounded by all those who loved her, Thank-you Greys. Kindest regards RP

For the last 3 yrs that my sister lived at Greys were probably the best years for her!

She was 85% blind and was so well looked after by the staff that they really brought out the best of her personality and happiness! In the last 6 months she was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer and we were loath to move her, management and staff agreed to keep her there until she passed which enabled her family to visit her right up to the day she passed. Myself and her daughter were there to the end! All excellent staff caring and kind!

My mother passed away at Greys Residential Home on August 17th 2025, a place that mum and myself could not fault, such a loving caring place for it to happen. Mum had been there for 4 years such a wonderful place for the elderly, that needs care and love in their last years of life. I could not thank them enough when the sad time happened. I would say to anyone, Greys is a place to go, for best care, love and respect. Thank you Greys.

I live 7000 miles away, but in constant communications with mum who has now been a resident for 8 months. Every phone call she says she is happy and content. she tells me all the staff look after her well, she feels its just like family. So while I'm away i don't have to worry i know she is safe. Being over from the states at the moment was it the right decision to place her at Greys? All I can say is YES. I've watched them with her and they are so caring. She says the food is good and I have to say its top quality food provided in a family atmosphere where they all sit together while eating. Her room is always spotless, her clothes always clean, the whole care home is pristine. Everyday they have activities which mum enjoys and we get a monthly update on what's going on. Greys is lead by a very strong, competent manager and team. The staff are amazing doing one of the hardest jobs out there with such care and understanding. I cant praise them highly enough.

All I can say is thankyou

When first arriving at the care home I found a welcome from every management. Every carer I met seemed to understand my needs. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Within a day pretty well one of the staff would make a point of calling in to make sure all was well. I wish I had made the move ages ago. It was really the best thing that I have done. They all knew my name. I dont regret this move. I think it springs from a excellent manager who is the right one for a not easy job.

My mum was very happy here and I was happy with her care ,the staff felt like family and I felt I knew them and that they all cared about me and my mum.Mum died suddenly in February and I was devastated, unfortunately this is where things went wrong .Staff need more training how to treat the bereaved ,even little things like the state of mum's room after her death were ignored. No help was offered when we tearfully emptied her room.No representative came to her funeral. As if my mother's death was difficult enough to deal with to be treated so coldly was a real slap in the face.
