My mother has been a resident at Greys for 7 months now and she is very happy there. They provide a very caring environment in a very homely house. She enjoys the extra activities, which include exercise classes, games, quizzes and art classes. She has made many new friends enjoying the garden when the sun was shining last year.

My mother-in-law moved into Greys in December 2017 and moved out due to hospital admission for end of life January 2020. She was warmly welcomed into the Greys family. The residential home is quite small, which give it a family feel. It is comfortably furnished with unusual and quirky items. The staff are warm and supportive. Great lengths to provide entertainment and suitable activities. Great choice for those with extra support to live there best old age.

My 92yr old mother in law has been a resident since December 2018, although confused due to her progressive dementia she is very happy there, she become quite close to a few of the very kind caring staff.
Greys has that family atmosphere which is warm and welcoming.
The staff are very attentive, personable and happy to share a joke with the residents.
Entertainment is a regular thing at Greys, especially when it comes to joining in singing some of the old songs.
Throughout my 12 months visiting Greys, I have never once smelt that urine smell you often get in some care homes which is a great recommendation to those of us who fear the worse when having to make the decision to place our parents in a care home.
The food is delicious, cakes and desserts all homemade I often sample when visiting in the afternoon with a nice cup of tea.

To sum Greys up, it really is home from home, I feel very lucky to have found it.

I visited Greys on many occasions to visit my dear long term friend who was a resident for the last six months until she was sadly admitted to hospital following a stroke.

As a registered nurse myself, I observed a comfortable, warm, friendly atmosphere whenever I visited. Also, my friend spoke so highly of every individual member of staff at Greys, from the carers and housekeeping - she was extremely well looked after and very happy which made us, as friends and family so reassured.

I was very worried about coming into Greys Residential Home for 2 weeks while decorating is being done because I wear a colostomy bag, but the staff have been wonderful. I have felt completely at home and they have been so kind. I just can't praise Greys enough.

Mum was only in Greys for 2 months before she died. During that time, all the staff showed her a huge amount of dignity and authentic care. Greys is like a private mansion house and that gives it such a wonderful 1930's feel to it. Genuine, old fashioned in values but state of the art nursing and care. I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a safe, dignified home for their relatives.

On our twice-weekly visits since August 2018 I have found the staff very friendly and caring to the gentleman staying there and to myself and his wife. He is always clean, neatly dressed and offered all the assistance needed. On our walk through the same must be said for all the residents. The ones that can, always have a smile and a greeting and look happy. I have also noticed that there are card games, art, bingo and a lot of entertainment. Very well done.

This is a care home that really feels like a home. It doesn't smell old, the staff are friendly and supportive as well as adequate numbers to provide good care. There is a friendly atmosphere and birthdays etc are commemorated and celebrated - even with a gift for the celebrant. Meals are nice and suitable for the age group of residents.

My mother was a resident for over 6 years and we chose Greys because it was a well run, independent, family residential home with a homely environment. Over the six years, the standards of care strengthened and it remained an excellent home for my mother. The carers are well trained and experienced and many have worked there for several years giving continuity of care and a stable home environment.

I can recommend this home without reservations.

I was in this home for 2 weeks respite care, feeling apprehensive prior to arrival. I was greeted by caring staff. Everyone from management to cleaners treated me as a friend. The best way to describe my stay was "I chilled". I will be returning when my wife has another operation and I know I will be well looked after.

My initial view of Greys I formed whilst looking for care for my mother, it hasn't changed during the time she's resided there.
It is a well maintained and tastefully decorated care home run on a commonsense basis, accommodating the needs and wishes of the residents, rather than for the convenience of the staff which is, unfortunately, all to often the case. I visit Greys regularly and the staff have always been friendly, professional and approachable. Most importantly they care for the residents with kindness and compassion.
Regular activities and outings are arranged for those residents who want to participate. The food is nutritious and varied and includes themed weeks featuring cuisine from other countries for residents to sample.

Greys truly is a home from home!

My mother was moved to Greys in December last year as she was no longer able to care for herself at home. I reside permanently in Australia so as you can imagine this has been a difficult time for us as it's been challenging trying to organise somewhere from halfway around the world. Greys were amazing from the first phone call my wife made to them enquiring as to whether they would be able to take mum as she also has dementia. They were professional, helpful and provided great advice and assistance. They have been fantastic from the first day she arrived and take wonderful care of her. We visited in August/September this year and could not be happier with the care she receives, she also looks better than she has in years. We know that we don't need to worry about mum as she is receiving premium care and Greys has a lovely 'homely' feel about it, she also has a room leading out to a beautiful garden. We are extremely grateful to Greys and the outstanding care provided.
