Latest Reviews for St Anne's Residential Care Home

This home is a real HOME for it's residents, and the staff treat the residents like they are members of their own families. There is so much love, respect and caring here, that you never feel guilty leaving your loved one behind ...
My family member was very shut down as he had lived alone for
years.
Now, he often goes and joins the other residents to watch the big TV, or to eat lunch in the dining room,or even to play games!
He relishes the beautiful cakes he gets here, as he has a sweet tooth and he loves it when his dog comes to visit.
The dog loves it even more ,as the staff spoil her ,or she is borrowed to go and visit another patient who wants a cuddle...
I cannot recommend this home highly enough for it's great care and thr garden is beautiful.

My Uncle has been at St Ann's for the last 12 months and I can honestly say how caring and helpful the staff have been in looking after all aspects of his needs. He was quite an independent person who has lived on his own for many years, and due to ill heath he was not safe to stay at home. St
Anne's have been wonderful in dealing with him and understanding his character and he has now gone from wanting to isolate himself in his room to occasionally mixing with others, both eating his meals in the dining room to taking part in activities with others. I have never announce when I will be visiting and on ever occasion I have found the home and my uncles room both clean and warm. When my visit has ended I never walk away worried about leaving him in their care.

My Aunt has been at St Ann's for 11 months and we have overall had a very positive experience. The staff have always been extremely welcoming to us as a family and my aunt has settled in brilliantly. She has the odd grumble about the food however she has actually regained weight since moving in
which is wonderful. The residence are often treated to home baked cakes in the afternoon with their tea and they have a wonderful activity coordinator who puts on a full programme of morning and afternoon activities each week to provide them with opportunities to mingle and be active as well as 1-2-1 time. The home is in a stunning setting with beautiful gardens and as a Catholic, my aunt really enjoys the weekly chapel services as well as being brought communion on a Sunday. Management are making continuous improvements which is good to see. The building itself may not be super modern but it is very homely and provides a clean, warm and caring environment. We feel my aunt is very well cared for.

My Aunt has been a resident at St Anne's for over eight years, and I can say with confidence that the care she receives is consistently excellent. The staff are not only professional but also deeply compassionate - they treat her with dignity, patience, and genuine warmth every single day.
Over
the years, I've seen how the team go above and beyond to make her feel at home. They have taken time to understand her needs, preferences, and personality. My Aunt is always encouraged to join in activities, and her wellbeing - both physical, emotional, and spiritual - is clearly a priority.
The home itself is welcoming, with a family atmosphere that makes visiting a pleasure. There are lovely lounges for family events. Communication with me has been open and honest, and I always feel reassured that my Aunt is safe, cared for, and respected.
I am deeply grateful to the team for the dedication they show every day. They have made a huge difference to the quality of my Aunt's life.

My mum has been at St.Anne's for about 18 months as she is unable to manage living on her own. I find St Anne's to be clean and comfortable, it's like living at home rather than a clinic, furniture can be quirky, China doesn't always match but does it matter it's warm and inviting. The staff are
wonderful and approachable, nothing is too much trouble and they always have smiles on their faces.
The residents are well fed, mum can be a picky eater but they work well with her.
The room was a blank canvas so when she moved I was able to furnish it as if it was her previous home which helped her feel more settled.
She has finally settled after losing her independence, she wasn't happy at losing her home of over 30years but that's what old age and a stroke can deliver.
Overall I am very happy with the care that mum receives and it now allows me to live my life as well knowing she is safe and secure.
