View Full Details of Manorfield Residential HomeMy Mum has now been residing at Manorfield for nearly 5 years - when she first became a resident she was warmly welcomed into the Manorfield family. It's such a friendly and cosy home and we've always had peace of mind that she's receiving the very best of care from all the amazing team there who have always made the wider family feel welcome too. Sadly, two years ago my Mum was diagnosed with dementia - through every stage of its progression the staff continue to show the utmost kindness and compassion towards my Mum and to provide great support and guidance to the family. It's clear that each and every member of staff takes a great pride in their care work and we continue to be extremely grateful to them all for looking after our precious Mum.
Our Mum sadly passed away on Saturday 22/11/25 the managers and staff treated mum with respect and dignity also making her laugh during her stay. They also looked after us as a family I can't speak too highly of the home and care given,it was the best decision for mum.I would recommend them to look after your love ones.xx
I can highly recommend Manorfield care home. The team are so caring and supportive. My lovely mum unfortunately recently passed away. The care she received was first class. Her last days were so happy, she was always treated with respect and dignity. The carers here are so dedicated.Their calm and gentle encouragement was just what Mum needed. Frightened and often frustrated she responded to their gentle approach. Mum was singing and smiling in her final hours and when the time came the amazing staff were with her holding her hands. They are part of our family always. They always made time to support us, comforting us. I will always be so grateful for their kindness at such a sad time.
Mum had the most excellent care the few weeks she was there. Sadly she passed away at the weekend. The rooms are lovely, homely and tastefully decorated. It is always clean and you can tell well looked after. The staff, what can i say, every member of staff was kind, caring, respectful and patient. Nothing was too much trouble. They did not only look after Mum but the family too. Always communicating putting our minds at rest, offering us tea and a hug when we needed it. Right up to the end the managers Cathy, Karen and Stacey were amazing. All staff were so kind and thoughtful taking time to speak with us, reassure us. If your looking for a care home for your loved one, Manorfield would be an excellent choice. So glad we found this little gem. Mum was happy, we were happy.
My brother receives wonderful care at Manorfield and we feel extremely lucky to have found this special place for him.The staff are endlessly kind and patient with him and we, his family, have peace of mind that he could not be in a better or safer place.
Manorfield has a good reputation locally so when we needed to find a carehome for my mum it was an obvious choice to consider. As a first impression, we were impressed at the facilities and cleanliness of the building and the staff seemed friendly and capable. Having now had 2 months of experience of mum being a resident of the home i can confirm our first impressions were spot on and the team at Manorfield have exceeded our expectations in how they have helped mum settle in and ensured that mum had support from the doctors that had been sadly lacking before. The team are great communicators which makes us rest assured that we know how mum is and I think most importantly the team are kind and caring to mum. In previous carehomes I have visited over the years, the caring element is often lacking which is definitely not the case with Manorfield where they are incredibly thoughtful and attentive.
I'm writing to thank you and your team for welcoming me and Belle (our dog) on our visit to see Cynthia on 7/10/25. I phoned the day before, just to see if all was ok for me to visit, and was told that the Conservatory would be "booked" for us. Then, on arrival, I was greeted nicely. Cynthia was looking well and was well dressed. She was then escorted to the Conservatory, where we were served tea & biscuits (& some water for Belle!). Staff popped in, from time to time, and were always polite and courteous. Many thanks for our visit and for the caring team you have at Manorfield.
My brother has been a resident for some time now at Manorfield & I know he is very happy there. Each time I contact the home or visit I have found the staff to be welcoming, friendly, helpful & knowledgeable of my brothers needs & requirements. On each of my visits I have found the home to be very clean & tidy & I've been impressed by the quality of the food with a varied menu. Nothing seems to be to much trouble & the staff are kind & caring which my brother has confirmed. As I live two to three hours away I can't get there as often as I would have like but I'm very happy to say that I feel that he is in safe, caring & capable hands.
I cannot rate Manorfield high enough. The home itself is spotless and the professional helpful and kind staff a breath of fresh air. Karen, Cathy and Stacey are marvelously helpful, so too are all the staff with nothing being too much trouble! If you are looking for a friendly, caring home for your loved one do visit Manorfield. The fact that most of the staff have worked there for years and have a very slow turnover says it all - they care!
They are a wonderful team and have helped my husband and I through some very difficult situations with regard to his dementia care, I considerManorfield to be the very best in our area and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if asked.
Mum spent a wonderful 10 months at Manorfield under the amazing care of all the staff. Sadly Mum had Vascular Dementia and struggled to communicate at times. The staff at Manorfield found amazing ways to communicate with Mum, encouraging her to take part in the fabulous array of activities they hold each day. With their help, she quickly became a firm member of the 'Manorfield Family'. As her daughter, I too was welcomed to be part of the 'family'. The staff updated me on Mum's progress which helped me to feel part of Mum's life as I lived so far away. When I visited, the staff greeted me with love and an outpouring of kindness that will always be remembered. Mum was looked after with care, love and attention. My visits and times with her were precious and the home always made me and my family feel so very welcome. Each and every member of staff took time to chat, and support us through the end of Mum's life journey through to her passing - I'm eternally grateful to them all.
We booked my mum into Manorfield for some respite care for a few weeks in late 2024. This was her second time at Manorfield, having stayed initially for 10 days of respite care earlier in 2024. My mum had not experienced a care home prior to staying at Manorfield and we were unsure how well she would adapt. But she honestly loved it in there and was excited to be going back. Based on my Mum's experiences of Manorfield and my own from visiting her there, I can honestly say that the staff are wonderful and the place has such a happy vibe to it. It's not too large and there are not too many residents at any one time. Consequently, all the staff know all the residents and it feels like everyone knows what's going on. My mum had stayed at another care home briefly in November 2024 and it had not been a good experience for her. She was unhappy there for various reasons and did not feel safe so I removed her and booked her back into Manorfield where she enjoyed her stay.
Manorfield is a very special place, staff not only care for your family but love them and go above and beyond. Manorfield staff care not just for residents but family and friends too, we become family. I am eternally grateful to each and every staff member for the care, love and support they have shown our family. Staff have guided us, hugged us, kept up our spirits, made us tea and offered us food if needed. I will forever be grateful for such a wonderful team of people and cannot recommend Manorfield enough. Even I would choose this home for myself when the time comes.
My father was admitted to Manorfield in October, following a lengthy stay in hospital. From the moment he arrived, he has been met with warmth, empathy, and care second to none! Each and every member of staff is absolutely lovely and you cannot but help appreciate the wonderful atmosphere which exudes throughout. Dad has a lovely room, with a French door opening out onto his own patio. He really enjoys interacting with staff members and other residents and particularly likes the musical entertainment. It is heartwarming to know that he is so happy and settled. Communication is also excellent, which is so important.
My parents initially stayed in Manorfield on a temporary basis, but have chosen to make it their home permanently. The team of staff make it an outstanding residential home and my parents are very well cared for. There is a comfortable, welcoming feel to Manorfield and the approach to care is adaptable to suit everyone's needs.
Manorfield Care Home, is outstanding! When I initially called to make an enquiry, I had a good feeling, after speaking to the manager of the home, she took time to answer all my questions. I looked at 5 care homes, before Manorfield, as I stepped through the door I knew it would be perfect for my father. The staff are absolutely brilliant, making a difficult transition of moving my father into care, so easy. I previously worked for Sage House (dementia Support), so understood dementia, but dealing directly with my father was so challenging. However, the staff won him around, he settled from day one, they are so dedicated and kind, an asset to the home. The care home feels homely and is spotless. They have daily activities and lunchtime meals look delicious. The quality of care is excellent! I cannot speak more highly of this wonderful place. It was absolutely the right choice for my father, which gives me complete peace of mind, as I know he is in safe hands and well looked after.
My husband had been in three care homes before this one. From the moment my daughter and I first looked at care homes we were sure this was the place for my husband so warm (not just temperature) and friendly, cannot say enough good things about this care home.
From my first interview with staff at Manorfield I was impressed by their person-centred approach; how they wanted to get to know my father's personality and how he might react to different approaches. He had dementia and could be very suspicious & difficult, but the staff made huge efforts to win him around with their constant good humour & loving care. I was always made welcome and have been so impressed by all the staff and their efforts to encourage Dad. They learned to make him laugh and brought out the best in him; even though he could be very rude & insulting at times, they didn't respond negatively. They were watchful for his health and were absolutely wonderful to both him and me when he came towards the end of his life. I even miss my visits there, because of the lovely staff! The home is modern and appears more like an attractive guest house, which I knew would impress Dad. He never quite worked out where he was but always spoke very highly of both accommodation and staff.
My mother moved into Manorfield in October 2023. I cannot thank the team at Manorfield enough for the fantastic care that my mother received while at the home. Life in her own home was becoming difficult, despite four care visits a day, and her quality of life suffered. All that changed when she moved to Manorfield, initially for respite, but then full-time. She absolutely thrived there, making friends, joining in activities and being looked after incredibly well by all the staff. The difference in her was obvious and she had a wonderful time there for the last six months of her life. As a son, who became a carer, I can't thank them enough for the difference it made to my life either. The stress levels were lifted, and my visits became quality time instead of the demanding visits before. I would also like to comment on how they dealt with Mum's passing, they were so kind and caring during her final hours, and they were also so very empathetic and supportive of us, as a family.
Manorfield Care Home is a fantastic place. The care and compassion they treat our loved ones with are outstanding. Any request is provided, and any need is catered for. I had previously had my lovely mum in there and when it came to a very dear friend needing care there was only one place I would have wanted her to be.
