Mum is very happy at Hill House. The staff are very friendly and helpful. She has made friends with other residents and thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas party. I have had excellent assistance from the management team who are always willing to help in any way they can.

We cannot thank the team at this care home enough for the exceptional care they gave to our Nan over the past year and especially during her end-of-life care. Throughout her time there, she was treated with dignity, kindness, and genuine compassion, which brought our family great comfort.
The staff
are truly amazing and consistently go above and beyond. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and it was clear that they genuinely cared about Nan as a person, not just as a resident. During her final days, they were incredibly respectful, supportive, and attentive, ensuring she was comfortable and peaceful.
After Nan passed away, the kindness shown to our family meant more than words can express. The support, understanding, and sensitivity from the staff during such a difficult time will never be forgotten.
We will always be grateful for the care, dedication, and humanity shown by everyone involved. This care home is a truly special place, and we wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone

My mum was admitted in February 2025.
All the team there was really dedicated to making muns stay ascconlmfy as possible.
They are very relaxed on visiting times which is really helpful.
We just lost mum yesterday, while I was there they gave me a room upstairs to use so I could stay & be
there for my mum as much as possible .
All the team went above and beyond & made mums last year a pleasant one .

The home was lovely,the carers were very attentive and caring towards our mum although my mum was only there for six months as mum sadly passed away,
Mum didnt feel lonely or anxious either which was very reasuring.
Manager and owner were great too if we had any issues with mum they certainly
sorted things out and let the family know what they were doing.

Mum went to Hill House after a long stay in hospital and a re-enablement centre, she lacked her usual confidence and her dementia had advanced tremendously. I cannot thank the manager and her team at Hill House enough for the love and care they showed mum. They have encouraged her eating and she has
gained few kilos (much needed) and is smiling and looking really well. We will use Hill House again for respite and if necessary long term care.

I can't speak highly enough of the care my gran received during her three-week stay. It was clear that she was not only being well looked after but was also genuinely happy. I visited three times during her stay, and each time, I was greeted by friendly, compassionate staff who were attentive to her
needs. The level of care was outstanding.
The new manager, truly went above and beyond. Her dedication to providing the best care was evident, ensuring that my gran felt comfortable, safe, and loved. It was such a comfort to see her so well cared for, and it really felt like she had found a second home.
Additionally, the Mother's Day celebrations, and the decorations were absolutely stunning. The attention to detail and the care put into making the day special for the residents was heartwarming.
The care home truly exceeded all my expectations, and I'm so grateful for the care and support they provided. Thank you to everyone at the home for making her time special!

My mum loves her new home. All your colleagues are so caring. Mum loves for food especially. Her room could do with a little TLC... The mattress is not the best and her room smells of urine. I know this is very difficult to maintain.
Mum would live nowhere else, she is having the best of times.

Caring and open home with some very friendly staff. The staff were always visible and available.
I am very comfortable to recommend this home, it is clean and there were some activities taking place, and the other residents seemed very happy.

My sister has been a resident of Hill House for approximately 18 months. She seems happy there and is well looked after. She enjoys watching television and reading in her room. The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. My sister can be a bit fussy as regards food but the staff are happy to
oblige with something she would like. It is nice to see a hairdresser and chiropodist now visit the home on a regular basis and my sister's hair always looks very nice when she has been to the hairdresser. I receive a monthly newsletter from the home saying what the residents have been up to and what they will be doing, which I appreciate as I don't get to visit very often.

I think the new management and staff have done a wonderful job turning the place around and getting things up to standard, the staff are very friendly and knowing my mum is cared for very well, the home is spotless and cleaned up to a very high standard.

Friendly staff, feel like part of a family and always made welcome. Any problems are discussed with us and we are just a phone call away. We can ring or visit at any time, food is good, hairdresser and chiropodists visit regularly.

My Mum has been at Hill House for a number of years, and at times care has not been up to standard. However, I was very pleased to see that in the last 4 or 5 months, standards have taken a turn for the better. I was also sent a copy of CQC report to read, and so was also very pleased to see that
Hill House now has a good report across all aspects.
Well done to staff and all people involved, may it remain as good. I'm now happier that Mum is being looked after so much better.

This home should not be open. The abuse and neglect are listed on the CQC website. The staff and owner are shameful. Make sure you review this home and if your family are in here please look into CQC and believe what you read.
My family member was in here but not for long after truths came out.

This home is an absolute shambles. From entering the home there wasn't a hello or who are you seeing by the staff members. No pen to sign in or out. The rooms were filthy dusty, and full of cobwebs. There was even a pile of dirt/dust inside the drawers. I found the staff members including the owner
to be extremely unprofessional and rude. We are having to deal with the correct authorities due to the neglect and abuse that have been witnessed, absolutely sickens me.

From working in care myself I know that the most important thing in any place is the staff. With all the best equipment and facilities, if the staff do not care then the residents won't be happy.
From the moment we arrived the staff had my mum laughing and joking and they were so quick to build
bonds with her! Staff have been great at supporting me with working with my mum's social worker to advocate for what is best for my mum. My mum is always sending me pictures of chocolates the staff have taken to her room and also tells me how lovely they all are!
They are never too busy to take the time to talk with family and are always smiling. This truly is a home away from home.
I can't thank you enough for all you have done and when I have been at the point of giving up fighting for my mum's needs you guys have motivated me to keep pushing for the social worker to make sure her needs have been met!

Although the facilities need updating and the gardens need to be maintained and more accessible, the carers are amazing - especially certain staff members who are always extremely helpful and caring towards my mother. I would like to see more activities provided but as I'm not there I haven't got a
full insight into this. I have noticed that when I am there at the weekends it seems that the carers are extremely busy and in my view could do with a few extra carers. I do feel a couple of the carers are outstanding.
