View Full Details of Home MeadowAll the staff were kind, friendly and very caring. Residents were encouraged to join in activities and my wife enjoyed these and though she would not usually join in, the cares encouragement worked! Food was good, the room nice. Overall a great ( respite) experience which we hope to repeat when the need for respite care comes round again with a view to long term care in the future. Thank you all!
A big thank you for care and friendship you have all given my father over the past two years. When dad first came to Home Meadow he was very reluctant to come out of his room - or join in any of the activities. However, you all worked hard to encourage dad to go up to the lounge and following this dad started socialising and enjoying the activities. This was solely down to the dedication of you - the Home Meadow staff. Dad loved Home Meadow - and this is very apparent in talking to him and seeing the wonderful photos of him laughing and enjoying himself - you all made the last two years of dad's life happy and content.
A satisfactory short stay. Thank you.
My husband has been a resident in Home Meadow Care Home for over 4 months and is settling well with great support from all the staff. I visit most days, and the carers are always very kind and caring. Office staff too are extremely caring and supportive to residents and their families, always extremely heloful and supportive and always ready to help with any questions. There is easy access to a very safe garden area, and residents enjoy time outside in fine weather. There is good security and weekly fire alarm checks. My husband is enjoying the meals and is eating well. He is in a safe and happy place, living amongst kind and helpful people. Also, live music happens regularly, as well as weekly hairdressing. We are very happy with Home Meadow.
All staff are very attentive & friendly at all times, helping & giving in a professional but friendly way. All people staying here are very well looked after & given plenty to each and drink, and Mum feels very comfortable & looked after.
My 98 years old mother has lived here for 13 months. In that time, she has been extremely well cared for, resulting in her taking on a new lease of life. She has regained her interest in life and the activities provided, and the very supportive care. I would like to comment particularly on the carers as they have a kind, caring attitude. They are always ready to help residents. The home is clean with a good position for laundry & hairdressing. The food is varied and plentiful. My mother has been ill twice, and the doctor called. I am so happy we brought my mother here. I visit twice a week.
Very pleased with the care that has been provided to mum by Home Meadow. We are able to visit at any time and there are plenty of facilities at the home to sit with my mum. The food is plentiful and wholesome. All in all we're delighted to have mum here.
Everyone is very kind and helpful, they all care for each resident. Nothing is too much trouble.
My Mother was cared for from 2021 -2024 with kindness and good care from the minute she arrived to the day she died. The staff are all very kind and caring. They have time for a chat when needed and look after the family in the same manner. Everyone in the care home is included and encouraged to join in. Home Meadow is a lovely place, but despite needs a little tender loving care. The staff and residents are happy.
My husband spent a week's respite at Home Meadow. He was extremely well looked after and cared for by lovely staff. He was very happy during his stay on this occasion and I commend the manager and admin. Managers who were efficient and organised.
My wife spent three years at Home Meadow, suffering from Alzheimer's disease. She quickly settled into life at Home Meadow, despite a Covid lockdown. Communication with the staff has been very good, and any care concerns have been dealt with promptly and honestly. The staff have always been courteous and professional, and the low turnover of staff and lack of the need for agency staff suggests that it is a happy and rewarding place to work. I would recommend Home Meadow unreservedly.
Mum lived at Home Meadow for the last 9 months of her life; with severe anxiety and dementia. She was always cared for with compassion, kindness, patience and warmth. Due to the level of her dementia, Mum was unable to take part in all the activities on offer. However, the delightful activities carers got to know her well and tried to involve her as much as possible, taking photographs for us on those occasions. The home is well run with good communication between the manager and her staff. Mum needed to eat a soft diet but all the food looked good and the other residents seemed to enjoy it. Mum was transferred here from a newer and much more luxurious home in the area. Home Meadow is smaller and older with fewer facilities but the personal care she received here was much better than in the more expensive care home. When Mum died during the night the staff on duty were absolutely lovely, also looking after me with great kindness and thoughtfulness. Thank you to all at Home Meadow.
We came here for a brief stay following a spell in hospital. Loving and attentive care was showered upon us by all the staff in attendance at the time. We love the multi-lingual and multi-cultural atmosphere wth a common aim to attend to the residents who appear quite content. The food is savoury and varied. All in all, a pleasant stay putting us on the road to recovery.
All seems to be efficiently run and very friendly.
Home Meadow pulled out all the stops to help me when my mother, who was 97, suddenly needed 24-hour care. All the staff are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. They are very supportive to the residents and family alike. They made a real effort to help my mother settle even though she was finding the move from her bungalow difficult.
The staff are very caring, the centre is clean and tidy with a small pleasant garden. My mother needed a high level of care and received the attention she needed. Staff were very kind and compassionate to me in her last days.
We were so impressed by the level of kindness and professionalism the manager and her team demonstrated for our aunt. Thank you for moving so fast and doing so much above and beyond what we were expecting. From the moment we arrived to view until the moment we left with our aunt we were treated with kindness and she with dignity.
The care that my mother is receiving is exemplary. All of the staff carry out their duties with compassion and complete kindness. I could not think of a safer and more caring place for my mother to be a resident in.
I have always found the care home staff to be very caring, helpful, compassionate, and thorough. The care that my mother-in-law is receiving is without doubt the absolute best that we could have ever hoped for.
Thank you for looking after my mum for this past year before her death on 26th July 2023. The home was just great. The carers and staff were all lovely people and Mum had a few favourites, but was happy with all her care. She particularly loved the food, especially breakfast. She was, at first, able to play the piano. Thank you for accommodating her early morning rising walking and sitting in the courtyard - she especially enjoyed her coffee in the courtyard.
