My mums one wish was to NEVER be placed into a home which as a family we thought we could always honour this. At 86 mum was diagnosed with mixed dementia. Mum became unsafe at home & dad was in hospital.
Mum was placed at Manor House first for respite.
I cannot put into words of how supportive
all staff were to me & my brother at such a difficult time, we listened & followed their advise. That day we walked away in tears as if we had let our mum down.
Fast forward not only is Manor House my mums forever home but last Wednesday we were able to move dad into a room as well. Dad 91also became unsafe to be in the family home so mum & dad are reunited.
Staff no matter how busy will always make time for you, communication is outstanding.
Daily activities, outings, visitors, parties, etc give Manor House a real family feel.
Clean & tidy, meals look lovely and the cakes that are made are amazing.
Thank you Manor House for all your support to mum, dad & families.

My mum has been in this care home for 6 months now having gone in for respite care. That has now turned into a full care package. The care mum has received has been nothing short of exceptional, the staff are so kind and friendly and they always let us know what is going on which we truly
appreciate. The home is clean and tidy at all times and mum is always looked after. We are able to come and go as much as we like and this leaves us assured that mum is always being looked after at all times. We feel that the staff really care about mum and this for us is priceless

When we visited the home it is a lovely clean and well maintained facility. However, I question their ability to cope with advanced/complex dementia as stated. My mum moved here from another care home to be closer to us so that we could visit her regularly. She was shortly found to be suffering from
a urine infection which combined with dementia and moving to a new home meant that she was highly confused and her mobility was affected. She did demonstrate aggression to the staff which had only happened once previously in another care home during another episode of a urine infection. Mum was then admitted to hospital who confirmed the infection was no longer present. I spoke with the care home to discuss my mums situation but was advised that they were busy due to a Xmas party and they no longer wanted mum there. A few days later they called and asked me to clear out her room. This was very distressing for us just before Xmas. Be very wary as they don't deal with dementia well at all.

Mum has been at Manor Lodge since July. She settled in very well and enjoys the activities and outings and she so often says how kind and caring the staff are. Our family feel warmly welcomed as part of the Manor family. There is lots of smiling and laughter and celebration of seasonal events.
These things are important as it is mum's home and it feels like home when we are there, too. The important things are all exceptionally well done: health care, GP visits, prescriptions, medication etc. Mum has a lovely room, with her precious things and walls full of her favourite pictures. Everywhere is bright and clean and folks are often together in various locations in the building and in the summer, in the lovely gardens. The staff foster friendships and community among the residents and I find it a place full of life. Parties for families to join in as well as connections with local community, including Blofield Church. Our family could not wish for a better place for mum to be.

My Mum was admitted to Manor House in July, initially for respite care for 4 weeks to have support for medication changes. It had become evident that Mum at 91 years was not able to continue to live independently whilst keeping safe. Her mental health had deteriorated. The whole family were so
relieved when Mum's placement became permanent. I could see immediately that Mum would be well looked after.
I have been so impressed with Mum's care. All the staff are so approachable and I have felt really listened to with all aspects of my Mum's care. They have helped her transition from losing her independence. Communication is outstanding. I am constantly updated regarding Mum's health and necessary medication changes.
Today she is the happiest she has been for many years.
The activity team are amazing and it is so lovely to see Mum joining in activities she would not have had the opportunity or inclination to do living on her own.
Manor House is outstanding and the perfect home.

The staff are always polite and attentive.
My mother-in-law has settled into the home July 2025 and now appears to be happy and content. She is regularly engaged in activities.
The home is always clean and tidy and every one is well kempt.

A wonderful care home, full of staff who want the very best for their residents. Manor House gets all the essentials right and has lovely rooms, communal areas and outdoor space too. Mum has the support she needs (so she can retain as much independence as possible) and feels safe and secure.
There are a wide range of activities, outings and parties, creating a warm and happy community feel. Mum has a registered disability and the staff support her to ensure that she is able to participate fully in life at Manor House.
All the staff know and respect the residents as individuals, noticing if their routine changes and taking the time and care to check in with them. They have been very supportive in helping us navigate some new health challenges for Mum too, caring not just for her but for the whole family.
A wonderful care home full of amazing caring people.

Thank you to the manager, and all the wonderful, caring staff that provided our darling mum with the utmost love and care during her final days, suffering from the later stages of dementia.
Mum spent 2 years receiving the very best of care at Manor Lodge. We, as her children, were also well cared
for, greeted with a smile and supported throughout. This made the experience the best it could possibly be for all of us, but for mum especially. THANK YOU ALL

The care home manager was very helpful in getting my husband transferred from the hospital where he had developed a grade 3 sore. This subsequently healed under the care and monitoring at Manor House. Each individual was nothing short of excellent in the care and support they offered - the only
factor which stopped us choosing excellent for the rating was a period of staff turnover which meant the remaining staff, through no fault of their own, often seemed stretched. Despite this, we have nothing but praise for their care and attentiveness, in particular the support offered towards the end of my husband's life, towards him and the whole family.

All staff at Manor House are fantastic with my nanny and I have total peace of mind knowing she is cared for to a very high standard.
One of the staff is particularly special with my nanny and on days that Nanny isn't doing so well she works magic with her in a kind and gentle way.
Thank you Manor
House.

My mum has been living at The Manor for 4 and a half years. From her very first day there, she has been treated with the utmost care, respect and love. Time is taken to make sure she eats and drinks well, however long that may take. The team take joy in her happiness; dressing her well and
appropriately. They even do her nails to make her feel special.
The Manor has varied and regular activities including special events such as a Christmas outing to the Cathedral and a Christmas and summer party that relatives can join in. On their birthday, the residents are treated to a fabulous cake.
Being 200 miles away, good communication is essential. We have found the communication to be outstanding. If there is any concern, we are notified promptly. The entire team treat Mum and all residents as their own family and, indeed, the team at The Manor has become our extended family! Over the last two years, Mum's Dementia has worsened but the management team have supported me as I adjust to this.

We were reluctant to move Mum to a care home but knew we had no choice as she was no longer safe in her own home, from the moment Mum stepped in the door she slotted in perfectly and was made so welcome. We never imagined we would walk away feeling happy but we did as we knew mum was in safe hands.
All the team at Manor House are fantastic from the domestic workers through to management. They are constantly getting the residents involved in activities and there's always a party going on for some celebration and the food is on another level, it is so good. We can't express how thankful we are to all the team for making Mum's few months that she was there so enjoyable and in Mum's last few weeks caring for her and us, her family. We will always be forever grateful for the kindness that was shown to us all.

Mum has been at Manor House for nearly a year and I'm really happy to report that she is well cared for, safe and happy. It was a hard decision to move Mum into a care home but her dementia meant that she needed care that we just couldn't give at home. It was a really difficult start for her and the
rest of the family, given that she lost her husband of 63 years and we lost a father in the first week of her moving in. The staff and management have been so caring and helpful in getting her settled in and, although it took time, she now loves being there. From a relative's point of view, the staff are always pleased to see you and they keep you updated with any medical changes. They always have smiles on their faces. And they make a real effort with daily activities to keep them entertained and stimulated. Mum has been taken on a few trips away from the home and the staff have put on multiple parties (Easter, Summer, Christmas etc) which residents and relatives have enjoyed.

Mum who has dementia took up residence at Manor House in the Summer of 2024 and we as a family have been blown away by the care she has received at Manor House. Mum is well cared for by an amazing team and has settled in well. She has a lot of interaction with the staff who can often be found
dancing with Mum in the lounges and I am always greeted by warm friendly staff who can answer any questions and update me on how Mum has been that day. She is well cared for, the food always looks delicious and of good quality and they always make sure mum has regular drinks throughout the day and she has eaten her meals. Excellent home and we are so grateful our mum is in a safe warm environment where she can be herself.

Manor House staff was very kind and helpful when my friend was in respite care recently. They looked after her very well. The room which she used was a good size, with a lovely outlook onto gardens. She enjoyed the food too.

My uncle went to Manor House for respite care because of health issues this extended to a few months. He was so well cared for, so happy to be there, that he decided to become a permanent resident. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff. There was always something going on and he was always
included. He loved his room which was always clean and tidy as was he. My thanks to the staff for their quality of care and support of him.

My friend whom I have known for over 50 years and cared for over the last 15 years became a resident at Manor House in May 2023 due to deteriorating ability to care for herself. I found Manor House when I was looking locally to ensure I could visit her easily. My friend has received excellent care
and attention over her time there. The home is always clean, never smells anything other than pleasant. My friend's care is personalised, she has all her specific needs and desires met. Manor House has a strong management team, stable cohort of staff and they keep me informed of everything involving my friend. The staff are all polite and efficient. My friend speaks highly of all of them. The food is hot and varied. At almost 93, my friend's health has been excellent throughout her stay here. I would highly recommend it. As a nurse myself I am delighted at the care and attention she receives. I would like to thank all the staff for their care and compassion.

I am forever grateful that we found Manor House for Mum when she was no longer able to live on her own. There was always a lovely, positive, calm atmosphere whenever we visited. Mum had a super room which gave her plenty of space but was cosy. It was always kept spotless and tidy (as was Mum!). Mum
enjoyed being with the other residents and joined in the activities. She formed strong bonds of trust and mutual respect with the staff who were always welcoming at our visits (extending that welcome to visits from Mum's dog too). The standard of communication with the home was amazing, telephone answered within a few rings, feedback given in a timely manner following any medical visits etc. I felt completely confident that I was being kept informed about what was happening in Mum's life and knew that she was in very capable hands, receiving the best care possible. My thanks to the staff for their attention and concern, they increased Mum's quality of life for her last few weeks.

My Mum was given a room here while waiting for an assessment. The staff are all so caring, professional, kind and friendly every time we see them. My mum has been mostly happy and has enjoyed activities, especially a good knees up for Mother's Day. The place is always clean, and all the staff are
friendly and happy to see us. They work hard but always have time for any questions or concerns we may have. Mum loves the salon and enjoys being out in the lovely gardens. All in all, a great safe place for loved ones.

My aunt went in for respite (albeit reluctantly) on 23rd December. When she went in she had a very negative attitude towards care homes and here we are in February and she is going to make it her permanent home.
I can only put this down to the excellent care staff and management making her feel so
happy and comfortable. The home has such a welcoming atmosphere and everywhere is very clean. Speaking to other residents they all seem happy and content, they have activities every day if they want to join in.
I’m amazed at how well my aunt has settled in and is enjoying living there.
