View Full Details of Barchester Warren Care HomeThis is our second month, so sorry my husband is now in a nursing home due to his falling too often. Whenever I have been able to attend some more of the activities in The Warren which suits me and keeps my interests activated. Hopefully the rest David is receiving will help his condition and we may live together again before too long.
My mum is enjoying the Warren as her new home. The staff are brilliant and always friendly and helpful. She particularly enjoys the activities - especially the outings. Kirstie is fantastic. I feel mum's room is a little small. It would be great if she had more space in her room to do her own crafts.
When my family member got diagnosed with dementia we were always worried about finding the right home. The staff and management helped to make the transition as smooth as possible for both my family member and the rest of us. During his time here they have been so supportive and nothing has been too much trouble for them. As a family we can't thank them enough for everything.
Got no complaints at all so pleased with the home
Very impressed with the Warren every time I visit my long time friend. Lovely staff and coffee and cake!!
Excellent
My husband was at the Warren Care Home for 11 days of respite care. He was happy with the food choice and the kind staff. I found the management team very helpful to deal with and really have no complaints. It was my husbands first experience of respite care, I think he found it difficult to integrate with the other residents.
Was a great day, singing & music, was fab - loved the food, all staff are wonderful and kind to all, lovely place to come an vist. Just a great day with friends.
I last gave a review October 2024 when my mum was a respite care resident. Now my mum is a permanent resident and she has been at the Warren nearly a year now.My mum is getting on very well and is happy with all aspects of her care. The entertainment that is provided is excellent also the food provided is very good.
Mum was in The Warren for 12 months the last couple of months, largely bed-bound, and died peacefully in her room. She has been well cared for - with professionalism and real warmth. The facilities are excellent and care all might be hoped for. In her last days she was comfortable and at peace. Family and visitors were always welcomed. Thank you.
The care that mum received in the final weeks of her life was outstanding. The senior care staff, in particular, went out of their way to ensure Mum's comfort and wellbeing. Medical assistance was sought at the appropriate time and their experience of working with people at the end of their life was evident. They communicated with the family at every stage and showed compassion as well as offering practical advice. Thank you.
One staff member in particular & the team organised a wonderful Mother's Day afternoon tea. It was a lovely celebration for the Mums in the home to share with their loved ones, the food was delicious and the entertainment really great too. My Mother in Law has been a resident for a few years and her needs have changed recently. All the carers look after her with respect, understanding and patience.
After a few weeks getting my mother settled in to a different way of life, she seems to be settling. The home is always warm, cosy & the staff are very kind & caring. Most days mum seems to like the food & the choice which is offered. The entertainment staff are amazing, my mother has enjoyed the variety that is offered in a daily basis. Overall I feel the Warren is the right home for my mother.
Taller people would benefit from a longer bed in respite room. Larger frame over toilet would help.
Excellent care with patience and dignity meant that I felt happy to leave my mother in someone else's hands knowing she would be well cared for. Many thanks to all staff and management for their pleasant and happy atmosphere. A home from home.
I spent two weeks at Barchester The Warren Care Home after being discharged from hospital. I think the staff are wonderful, very patient and helpful however it made me realise that a care home environment was not for me, so my stay was useful in clarifying my thoughts and it meant that I could return home, slightly more mobile, and it gave my relatives and opportunity to ready my house for me to go home safely when ready.
The management and staff here are kind, helpful, caring and thoughtful. My mother spent the last few weeks of her life here and they all made sure she was comfortable and pain-free. Everything in the home is of a high standard - the care, the food, furnishings, activities - just wonderful. Thank you to you all.
Mum had lived at Barchester The Warren Care Home for over five years. She was very happy there and very well cared for. The staff were friendly and professional and as a family, we were very happy with the choice of care home and have no hesitation in recommending The Warren.
My father-in-law came to Barchester The Warren Care Home after a long period in hospital. The care and support he and we, as his family, received was wonderful. The carers treated him with dignity and kindness. We would like to thank all involved at The Warren Care Home.
What a fabulous care home. They have looked after my great-aunt for the last few years, last year was her 100th birthday. They hosted a lovely party. She has thrived during her time there. The events they put on and the interactions with the residents are second to none. Such lovely staff. Sadly, my great-aunt passed away last month and I will miss her and my visits with my grandchildren who adored her. Thank you to all the staff for making her final years so pleasurable.
