View Full Details of Carlton Hall Residential HomeVE Day celebrations were great. Good food and drink. Singer very good. And was nice to have short church services. Really sunny but could not be felt after service so warmed at house.
The day was well organised and food very good. Staff were very helpful. Entertainment very good, the church service was a great idea. I live in a bungalow.
We have now been in our bungalow for one year. We have been welcomed and by attending the organised activities we feel comfortable with the staff and more bungalow owners by the week. We mostly cook for ourselves but meals on the premises are tasty. The early morning drop-ins make us feel very secure.
Carlton Hall is extremely well organised. Our rating for activities is only to suggest that the already good list of activities can be extended. We are very lucky to have a site at Carlton Hall.
I have lived here for 2 years. I have found carers/staff/entertainment all very helpful. I have a problem with pine needles on patio and summer season, its thistles/nettles under trees. The gardens are very well kept especially at entrance and exits.

Care staff and management are very caring and approachable to residents and their families. The food is freshly prepared and always lovely presentation. Mum is always clean and her hygiene is managed well. She has lots of activities to be included in on site and off. Surrounding grounds and cafe and welcoming, clean and well maintained offering a lovely environment.
Staff are very caring. Food could improve and more variety outside areas very clean and attractive.
I visit my sister who has been in Carlton Hall for nearly 4 years she is so looked after and her meals are all cooked fresh. Never seen her look so well. She goes on outings which they arrange. I am always made very welcome and gets a coffee on my visit. Her room is cleaned and clothes all washed every day.
My wish was a wonderful time spent at the school where I was cook for over 10 years, I do thank the people who arranged it for me. I am very happy here all the staff are caring and understanding.
The care at the home is absolutely first class and all the residents are treated with respect, kindness, obliging, dignity and everything anyone could wish for. The staff go over and above the call of duty and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. It is such a wonderful happy, fun atmosphere at the home and it all feels like one big happy family. My family and I are forever in dept to the loving, kindness and caring you have given my mum. We thought mum was dying when she left hospital but thanks to you, 3 years later she is fit and well and living a wonderful life.
I enjoy the company and thought that goes into the trips.
Our mother has been looked after at Carlton Hall for nearly 2 years. I always find the care to be of a very high standard. You can always find a member of staff to raise any concerns with and they are very receptive to any suggestions made. We are always kept up to date with any developments relating to mums care. Staff are always cheery and accommodating and I feel mum could not be in a better place. Every effort is made to make mum feel settled and comfortable. We count our blessings every day.
I couldn't rate Carlton Hall highly enough. When Dad moved in, it was from the hospital. He had a lifelong aversion to the idea of residential care, and I couldn't have been more stressed out and uncertain about what to do. I needn't have worried. After just one short conversation, I knew that the team at Carlton Hall were experts in their field and care deeply about their residents. I felt confident that Dad would be treated kindly and with respect. Dad was visited in the hospital and was offered a place. Dad's transition from the hospital was managed expertly, and to my delight, he settled in quickly. I was surprised, but very grateful, that the whole team took as much care of me as they did of Dad. With their help and guidance, I became more certain of my next steps. The whole team was hugely supportive and always available to answer my questions. Nearly a year on, that is still the case, Dad is very happy here, and I am still just as supported by the team here as Dad is.
Mum was very well looked after; good communication between the home and the family. Could not have wished for Mum to have been in a better place.
Exceptional service and care were provided from intake onwards. Impressively client/person centred. Nothing too much trouble! very professional and understanding re people with dementia. Beautiful grounds, great activities, delicious food. My Mum is very happy here. Her mood has already lifted and I feel so grateful and also reassured she is getting exceptional care. Thank you.
My dad came into care very poorly and weak. Since then he has put on a stone and is very much stronger. His every need is taken care of - showers, dressing, laundry, lovely meals, and snacks. Presents on Holidays and lots of daily activities. The room is spacious and clean, with lovely furniture. The home's staff are great, and many are related, so a family business.
I was very impressed with Carlton Hall, the staff team are brilliant, very caring and always have time for a quick word or a joke with the residents, plenty of activities for everyone to look forward to. A blueprint for care in the future.
All of the staff are caring, kind and treat my mum with dignity and respect. However busy they are, they spare time to talk to Mum to make her feel at home and at ease. Their compassion and patience are amazing.
Dad was in the home from November 2021 through to his death in September 2022. He was admitted aged 91, still with good mobility at that time but suffering very badly with dementia. The care he received from all members of the team was exemplary and everybody there (including those whose roles are not directly linked to the provision of care) genuinely seem to care. It was a comfort for me to find such a nice, welcoming and safe place for Dad to spend the last phase of his life, where the meals were good, where there was a good range of activities/entertainment and where he was always treated with respect.
