View Full Details of Manor Farm Care HomeMy mum has been at Manor Farm since the spring of this year. It has taken mum a little while to adjust to her new surroundings, having lived in her former home for over 60 years. With the help, care and support of the staff, she has now settled in well. The dedication of the staff is obvious from the moment you enter the home. The residents are treated with dignity and respect and their needs are met with diligence and compassion. Recently I joined mum for lunch at Manor Farm; the food was excellent. Good, nutritional, well balanced meals are served on a daily basis, along with refreshments throughout the day. I am extremely happy with the care my mum is receiving here.
My Mum has been a resident of Manor Farm care home for almost 2 years now and has been treated with kindness and respect since day one. Initially Mum found the transition from living at home and a life of independence quite upsetting but with the care and support of Manor Farms brilliant staff she soon settled and felt safe and at home. Manor Farm is unlike most care homes as it is a home not an institution nor hotel, family and friends are welcome and encouraged to spend time with their loved ones. Food is exceptional cooked by Keith and Donna breakfast is when the resident wakes not at an allotted time and can be a full English if they want. Dinner is a choice of 2 meals tasty and nutritious plus a choice of 2 desserts (Mum has even put on some weight) teatime can be sandwiches or special requests plus of course refreshments in between meals. It seems wrong to say staff as they are far more than that to the residents when you see the genuine affection as they cuddle your confused mum.
My father-in-law has been a resident at the care home in excess of a year. He is treated with respect and dignity at all times, despite how difficult he can be. He is very settled and appears very happy. I am always made to feel very welcomed when I visit, even the staff I don't know well are informative and approachable. The team are considerate to his, and the needs of other around him, and I am sure this can be difficult at times. Each member of the team are important for his care and work in harmony, they are amazing!
Mum has only been at Manor Farm for a short while, but what a difference a couple of weeks in the right environment can make. She is so much happier. She has company and people to talk to. The staff are all amazing. They are caring and respectful of all the people in their care. I am made to feel very welcome whenever I pop in to see mum. There are activities and entertainment which mum loves. Especially the sing-alongs. Thank you to the manager and the staff.
My mother has only been in Manor Farm for a few months & already I can notice the difference in her. The care she has received is very good, the staff are friendly & helpful to her & me when I visit. They do lots of activities & trips out, they keep the residents occupied. So, so far so good, can't fault it. Rooms could be a little more updated & would have been nice if they had en-suites.
There are no words to describe how I feel about Manor Farm! From the first day my mum moved in they have shown her only the very best of care! We are so lucky that she is there! They show only the highest of respect for mum meeting all her needs in health and well being! She's not just surviving now she is thriving and its all down to the amazing staff! She had an amazing birthday celebrations for her 91st Birthday Entertainment was fab everyone sang along and the birthday cake and buffet was delicious from the bottom of my heart thank you.
As a visitor I have been greeted by friendly and helpful staff who have welcomed me into the home and encouraged me to join in with them to make the residents time as lovely and 'normal' as possible.
I have best mum (mother in law) a man could wish for and vowed to care for as long as possible, when it became I became impossible to do the middys daughters chose Manor Farm over many others visited. The main reason for this decision was the attitude of the manager and her team, one of those rare time in life when you know you've done the right thing, the 4 less than excellent choices only reflect on the age of the property but I feel the home is homely and comfortable, not feeling at all like a hotel, clinically clean and austene, my mum in law is being looked after in a way I could only dream of.
Incredible caring and loving staff to mum and very supportive and caring to her daughters. You hear so many bad things about care homes and we were very worried for mum going into one. 'No need' they have done and are doing everything possible to make mum happy and feel at home. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
Mum moved to Manor Farm in November for palliative care. During her 4 months there she received exceptional care and kindness, compassion and just the right amount of friendly banter to suit her personality. She often said how happy and safe she felt in their care. Every single member of staff, not just the carers, made her final weeks happy ones. At the end they not only cared for mum but cared for and supported me too, for which I will be forever grateful. An outstanding team of people who feel like part of our extended family.
My mum is a new resident at Manor Farm and already I feel the need to show my gratitude towards all the staff. They are all very friendly, helpful and always acknowledge me and my daughter with a smile and a hello. When we visit in the lounge there are always carers in there being very attentive and genuinely caring to the residents which is lovely to see. If we need anything there is always a member of staff to ask and nothing is too much trouble. My mum was made very welcome, included and at home. The home itself is a lovely size and very homely. Everywhere is very clean, bright and inviting. My mum's room is a lovely size and she has a wonderful view. The food looks very appetizing and is prepared on the premises, I will definitely go and have lunch there soon with my mum as this is something the care home offers which is a lovely touch. All in all I am so happy that my mum is here as i know she is being really looked after and cared for, I know mum is happy here. Thank you so much.
I am very happy with my mums care, always looks nice and tidy in the care home friendly staff. Mum always looks very happy and clean and tidy and her room. Had a lovely Christmas dinner on the 11th December in Manor Farms dining room, with other residents and loved ones. It was most enjoyable Christmas meal and all food is cooked from scratch very nice indeed.
My mother has been a resident at Manor Farm Care home for over 4 years now. I think the home is excellent in that the accommodation is good, she has a lovely room. The food is excellent and the kitchen staff are part of the team and interact with the residents. They frequently have entertainment and are taken on excursions, for example, some of the more able residents attended the local pantomime. The Christmas dinner for residents and their relatives was so well organised and the staff had to work very hard which they did cheerfully making it a good experience for all. The staff are always kind and understanding of those residents with dementia and the whole place has a homely atmosphere another plus being it is not too big.
My grandmother has been a resident at Manor Farm for 11 months roughly and I cannot speak highly enough of the care she has received. From the moment we visited, the staff welcomed us warmly, making sure we felt confident and at ease in choosing a home for her. The team here is incredibly compassionate, attentive, and professional. They treat my grandmother with respect and kindness, always ensuring her needs are met promptly. The facilities are clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed to create a homely atmosphere, which has helped my grandmother settle in beautifully. The staff go above and beyond to keep families informed and involved, which brings us so much peace of mind. Additionally, recently the family where invited for a Christmas dinner event which went fantastically well with everyone enjoying the day! We were given a table in a spacious offset room which accommodated all of us really well and the dinner was very nice. Thank you to the entire team for all that you do!
When my nanny first moved to you, she was in a terrible home and had many worries and bad experiences, as did I and my family. Since being at Manor Farm she was happy again once she settled. She laughs again and we can finally spend quality time with her as a daughter and granddaughter, rather than carers. Manor Farm is a wonderful place, she is social, spending time out of her room, something she never did before. She feels of the home as her home, care is wonderful as is every person in there.
Mum was moved from another care home at the beginning of August 2024. We loved Manor Farm when we first viewed it for Mum. The home felt very homely, the staff was friendly and kind. Mum has now been a resident for almost a month, she loves it and the staff have helped her settle so easily. I cannot thank all of the staff enough, for making Mum feel welcome with their kindness towards Mum and us as a family. The home is beautifully clean, meals beautiful and Mum's care has been excellent. Mum's mobility has improved, and the family can see Mum's sparkle back again, which she had previously lost. This is due to the wonderful care and kindness being given to her at Manor Farm. We as a family cannot thank you all enough for taking care of our very precious mum and nanny. Thank you.
Manor Farm is a lovely care home the staff are all caring, kind and friendly to the residents and visitors and make you feel very welcome. The residents are looked after by an outstanding care team who work so hard to attend to each person with their individual needs. There are activities to do each day and trips out to different places and my mum enjoyed the fete last Sunday. The food is very good with a good variety of meals to choose from and the home is always very clean. Thank you to all the staff you do an excellent job caring for my mum and making this a welcoming and happy home for everyone.
My nan has been a resident of Manor Farm for almost a year now, and the care she has received is outstanding. The staff are amazing! They genuinely care for the residents and get to know each of them really well; accommodating their individual needs and personalities. My nan's overall well-being has greatly improved since moving into Manor Farm. She is very well-fed and is putting on weight for the first time in decades! The home organises days out, events at the home and simple touches like having her hair and nails done at the home. It is genuinely the best care home I have visited, and I feel very reassured knowing that Nan is being looked after so well. Whenever I visit, the staff are so welcoming, and it is clear to see how much they care for the residents, as well as what a happy team they are. Their positive and uplifting attitude is exactly what's needed. Thank you to all the staff who take such good care of my nan.
Mum is well cared for at Manor Farm and still seems quite settled, having been their over 3 years now. A meeting last year explored the option of putting in a path and bench within the grounds. Allowing the option to walk in the grounds and sit and take in the views. Hope in the future this does become available to the residents as it is such a lovely outlook. On the whole though Mum is still very happy with the care and support she receives.
My mum moved into Manor Farm recently and I cannot praise them more highly. She has advanced Dementia and has become unhappy and withdrawn. Since being at the home she's made friends and she's told us how happy she is there and she has returned to her bubbly self. The carers are amazing there is no rush, they give their residents all the time they need. They really do care as do all the staff there. The activities staff are always doing things and Mum is always up to something new. The managers are so supportive and helpful it's truly been the best decision I could have made for Mum to go there. If in doubt go and see for yourself.
