View Full Details of Manor Park Dementia Nursing HomeCare for my mum was not good medically, they ignored her pleas to see a doctor, a medical assessment should have been done not just by someone who can prescribe medication. We had to get them to check her as they ignored her cough for too long of which she got while in hospital. The carers were very kind they did their best the respite room should be condemned, the en-suite was a joke it is a wardrobe with a toilet in which was too low. I would not recommend this home for respite.
My partner moved to Manor Park after a hospital stay. At first, the home felt busy and overwhelming, but we quickly saw how warm and vibrant it was. The staff are kind and attentive-we're always greeted with tea and smiles. My partner enjoys the freedom of the garden, where he socialises and smokes. We've connected with other residents. I have started playing chess with some of the other residents , which sparked real joy. The atmosphere is lively and supportive. Seeing carers dance with residents to a Bollywood film moved me deeply. This home feels like a community. Keeping him here was the right decision even though geographically it's a 40 minute drive from my home it's the right place for him .
My mum has been in Manor Park for the last 18 months and the standard of care that she has received continues to be exceptional. All staff are incredibly caring, sensitive to her needs, patient and kind. They go above and beyond on a daily basis and make her time in the home as relaxed and comfortable as possible. They have engaged her in activities and her room is always decorated with hand made crafts and soft toys. I am truly grateful that mum has found such a wonderful place to be cared for. I also appreciate the regular updates provided by the nursing staff and their open and helpful communications.
My brother has been a resident in Manor Park for just over a year. He has received excellent care as he needs one to one care. All the staff and nurses and managers have been excellent . I have been updated all the time about his care! The staff are friendly and really caring! I know that he is safe in their care and it gives me peace of mind. I am always involved in any outside involvement of his care. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
I have found the staff to be kind, patient, genuinely caring, some exceptionally so. This includes the managers and even cleaning staff. They are always willing to assist, listen and take notice of any concerns. I have not found the same level of care at 3 previous homes in Somerset. The nurse practitioner and advisor have sound advice and do not over medicate.
My mother was in Manor Park for the last 18-months until, unfortunately, she passed away. She died at the comfort of the care home with the staff present that had cared for her within this long period. I would like to express my thanks to all the staff at this care home for being so professional and understanding the vital needs my mother required. The staff are amazing and treated my mother with the respect she deserved and nothing was too much of a burden or an issue. The staff had great personalities that care homes need to communicate with the residence that brought numerous smiles to my mother on her stay and made her feel part of a community within the home. On each of my visits, I always felt assured my mother was having the best care possible and if she could have written a statement herself I feel it would be purely praised for this care home and the staff representing the name. Therefore I would highly recommend this care home to anyone who has a loved one that requires care.
My dad was cared for at Manor Park for nearly 5 years. During that time he was looked after by wonderful staff with care. They always kept me up to date with how he was, especially when we couldn't visit during lockdown. And during the last week of his life, whilst keeping me informed every few hours with what was happening, they looked after me too. 100% recommend Manor Park.
My husband settled into Manor Park very happily and is well looked after by staff who are caring and show a real interest in his needs. The environment is bright and colourful and the new garden had been thoughtfully laid out and is a real asset.
The staff were brilliant, caring and supportive. I could not have asked more of them. As far as I could tell, bearing in mind Covid-19 restrictions, they went out of their way to make him feel comfortable.
Manor Park took our mum on very short notice, with an extensive list of illnesses and the day before Christmas. She stayed until the end of January where she was comforted and her medication sorted. We as a family then moved Mum to stay with family, with the help of continued care to enable her to spend her time left around her family. We have nothing but praise for all the staff at Manor Park for their kindness, dedication and support to Mum and the family.
Since moving to Manor Park from another care home in Weston, Dad has settled very well. His dementia has gotten a lot worse, and although his needs have changed he has adapted very well and seems to be comfortable in Manor Park. The staff are all lovely to Dad and seem to care about him very much. He is always happy to return to the home. We are well informed about his care and any changes in his needs or medication.
My mum was diagnosed with vascular dementia 7 years ago. She has lived in three homes since the diagnosis. She was transferred to Manor Park in October 2018. I wasn't happy with mum being transferred again, but the move to Manor Park was good, not only for her but for me too. I felt that mum would be unsettled and I thought I would have issues with her, maybe not eating, drinking and being violent. But I was wrong, she settled in straight away, The staff are so kind, caring and loving. Nothing is too much trouble for them to do. I am delighted at the move.

The home itself is beautiful with memory prompts and tactile rooms. I could not recommend the outstanding level of care my mother received and we, the family, will be eternally grateful.
