View Full Details of Stuart HouseMy wife has been resident at Stuart House for just over six and a half years. I visit her every day so I have a good knowledge of the the home. Being very frail and immobile my wife requires extra attention and this is provided by an excellent team of dedicated carers. While my wife is not able to participate in the various activities provided, I am aware that what is on offer is absolutely first class. Singing, Dancing, Dressing up, Going out on Trips, and a host of other activities all go to make life for the residents as enjoyable as possible. The Food consists of a good variety of dishes and is well cooked. Tea times could perhaps be improved upon. The Manager is very approachable and always finds time to chat if the need arises. Overall having a long association with Stuart House I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others.
I visited a friend of mine at Stuart House, I was greeted by friendly staff who went out of their way to make me feel welcome. I was offered a hot drink and biscuits on arrival. The home is clean and tidy with traditional decor which my friend prefers. There is lots on offer activity-wise with day trips, themed days and chair exercise. My friend is very happy here and it'd lovely to see.

My father was a resident in this home some years ago - when my mother needed a home due to frailty she insisted that this was the home for her. The home is quite small compared to others but this adds to the homely feel. Everybody knows everybody. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My mother seems to have settled in well - I am surprised by this as she was very reluctant to give up her apartment but I certainly think the move was for the best. I would definitely recommend this home to others.
