Our Dad moved into Firgrove Care Home Dec 2025. Following a particularly nasty fall, and a long stay in hospital, it was clear that Dad wasn't going to be able to return to his own house. We then began the process of trying to find a suitable home for him. From the very first phone call with Deian
and Chloe we were sure Firgrove was the place for Dad. We were given a tremendous amount of support navigating the process of moving Dad from the hospital to Firgrove. Chloe even visited him in hospital to assess that Firgrove would be the right fit for him. As well as needing physical care Dad is also coeliac, meaning he must follow a strict gluten free diet. The team at Firgrove have made such an effort to ensure that he gets a varied and healthy diet. Dad is now settled and has nothing but positive things to say about the team. The care that he receives, and the manner in which the whole team interacts with all the family is nothing short of phenomenal. We're very happy with Firgrove.

I really enjoy my stay here. All the staff are extremely friendly & welcoming.
The night staff are also lovely people, and nothing is any trouble.
I would recommend Firgrove House to anyone who is looking for a permanent place as it really is home from home.

Firegrove House is a cottage type residence, and with the older property, there are certain difficulties, but it's very homely and cosy. I can say without hesitation that the management and staff are very good, and make up for any small issues due to the age of the property. Food very good, in
general, a very thoughtful and helpful establishment. Mum was sorry to move!

My mother-in-law became a resident (respite care - with a view to extension) after a traumatic stay in hospital. The entry arrangements were handled well, and my mother-in-law welcomed very nicely. Over the last week or so, she has settled in, and this improves each day. The staff have been
excellent and very kind to her. She has confusing periods and often repeats herself, yet immense patience and kindness have occurred. A great start. She has not taken part in any activities yet, but maybe in the future!

My friend is very happy at Firgrove House. After feeling nervous about going into a care home the staff have suppressed her nerves. Amazing choices of food with a different menu every day. Making new friends and memories and in a place she calls home.

My Dad moved to Firgrove 2 months ago and has settled in really well.
The staff are very friendly and have made the effort to get to know Dad.
Communication is also good. I regularly visit Dad and am always welcome. There is a very homely feel to Firgrove and the home cooked meals provided always
smell delicious.
I feel safe in the knowledge that Dad is safe and well cared for.

I love visiting my gran at the home as I am always made welcome by the staff and residents. It's such a happy, relaxed atmosphere and spotless clean.
I think it is organised well by the manager and the staff are wonderful. I know my gran is settled there.

My Nan has been residing at Firgrove for a while now, she has settled really well and is calling Firgrove home now which to us is great. Nan always looks lovely and is always telling us what she has been up to. The staff make Firgrove, they are jolly and caring. Management have gone above and beyond
to keep her safe from a safeguarding issue we had previously with Nan. Management always keep us up dated on anything medically which Nan has going on and we trust them massively.
The Cooks are great and make home made meals and Nan can be ' fussy' with food but the cooks will make her whatever she would like. Activities are good, we see a lot of what the residents get up to, it's great to see them always smiling.

This home is so lovely. I was always 100% happy. The carers and staff are kind caring and deal with your every need. The manager and her team are amazing. Always ready to listen. They do lots of activities and have lots of singers etc visiting. They always celebrate things like Easter Christmas any
royal celebrations etc. The home is very clean and the food is always delicious. Unfortunately my dear mum has passed away now but I was so so happy with her care and I would recommend Firgrove 100%. One other thing is that because there is no overcrowding everyone gets attention and listened and spoken to. Yes very happy indeed. Thank you.

My grandmother has been a resident of Firgrove for the past couple of years.
Staff are very friendly and helpful, management have even offered to have a small get together for our family for my grandmothers upcoming birthday. They do a variety of activities and family events with the residents
which is lovely to attend and see regular picture updates via their social media page.

Brilliant place! My granddad has been there a few months and has settled so well. The staff are so welcoming and allow the residents to feel at home. We visit regularly and can't fault the service provided to him.

Visited my friend today and she has never looked better. Her appearance was beautiful, had her make up and hair done, clean and tidy she looked like my dear friend who always spent time on her appearance. The staff and managers were lovely couldn't do enough for us and my friend. My friend
(resident) couldn't complement the service enough. Thank you all so much for taking such great care of my dearest friend of 50 years.

Excellent staff and place to live. We are always welcome to visit our family any time. We couldn't ask for a better place for my grandmother to live. The facilities, rooms and food are great. It's a great place.

Everything at Firgrove makes me feel less guilty about my mum having to be a resident. All of the staff are extremely friendly and proactive, ensuring all resident's needs are met. My mum is not the easiest of residents and is quite demanding but the staff cope with it really well. The management
leads by example and is always available for a chat or to answer queries.

Such a lovely homely, family feel, my grandma is so well looked after and very happy here. The home offers lots of activities for residents and holds lovely events for families and we always feel welcomed. Thank you for taking such wonderful care of my grandma her having to live in a care home was
one of the hardest decisions our family had to make but you have made the process and decision so much easier for us by being so wonderful.

My close Family member is currently at Firgrove House, they moved in around a month ago and settled really well and quickly which has made the transition for the family easier. whilst completing this form at firgrove, the meal was presented beautifully, and my relative ate it all. you could smell
the home made baking as soon as you entered the door. The staff have been very welcoming and helpful, the managers are very easy to talk to and they give reassurance and make sure the residents are looked after and go above and beyond.

This home is so caring and supportive not only to my nan but to the whole family. It is such a relief to know nan is cared for and we don't have to worry anymore. Every time I see nan she is so happy and enjoys spending time with the friends she has met there. I can thank the management team and the

My 97-year-old frail father has been welcomed into the family at Firgrove House. He has settled in really well and feels 'At Home'. He is thriving and happy. I can now relax in the knowledge that he is well cared for. His needs are being met and he is safe.

I really enjoy my stay here. All the staff are extremely friendly & welcoming.
