My mum has been at the home for nearly three years. Overall experience is good. Staff are always welcoming and friendly, and any medical issues seem to me dealt with efficiently. Mum always looks clean. My sadness is that she sleeps most of the time or doesn't understand things anymore. She is
always in bed, so does not interact or take part in anything anymore, she just exists. She does not get any treats like other residents, and she can't feed or drink sufficiently, rarely seems to get anything other than at main meal times. Her room could do with a chair for visitors, as her own was disposed of after scabies.

Staff are always helpful and friendly when I visit and I feel the care my auntie receives is wholly appropriate for her needs.
Communication by phone is clear and requests for aunties needs are polite and respectful.( eg: new slippers/pyjamas required).
Life is really busy and I don't visit as
often as I'd like but I'm not made to feel guilty about that when I do manage to get there so appreciate that.

All the kindness, care and respect fr all the residents at Beech Lodge is never-ending. This is a very happy home. I am glad to have lived in and experienced.

On the whole I would say my Mum is well looked after, and her health seems to have improved which is good. The staff are very attentive, and my Mum loves the interaction she has with them. The staff team are always helpful, and nothing ever seems to be too much trouble when you ask them anything.
The home is generally clean, and I have never noticed any smells, it would be nice if it could look a little more homely, but I appreciate that could be difficult. The home always keep me up to date if anything is happening with my Mum, and they are easy to contact if I need to ask them anything. Thank you

Friendly staff and mum is looked after very well. There are a lot of activities that take place and there are visits to the home by nursery groups, singers and hairdresser. My mum loves having her nails painted and every week these are done. Mum has now moved to a better room where she can look
at the birds, squirrels and wildlife. Also she has a view of the trains which she likes to watch.

You couldn't wish for better care in the final days of my mum's life. Every member of staff was very kind and compassionate not only to Mum, but to all members of the family. In the time that Mum was a resident in Beech Lodge, she was treated in a very loving and caring way at all times.

Mum was well cared for by staff. They where always helpful, sometimes they were short of staff but always did what they could. Hygiene with morning cuppa not too good, biscuits placed on an unwiped table, no tea plate or serviette used.

So pleased Mum is being looked after so well and the staff are brilliant. Can't think of a better place she could be in the circumstances.

Beech Lodge is a very welcoming home, the team are always, and I mean always, cheerful, polite and helpful. They have gone the "extra mile", things like farming pictures in Mum's room, making sure there's enough sugar in her coffee and keep her warm and cosy - these are the things that matter. I
visit Mum often but I also know that when I'm not there she is loved and cherished by the staff and you can't buy that!
Thank you Beech Lodge.

Excellent care given to my bedbound grandmother.
She is treated with utmost respect and very well looked after.

Couldn't ask for more for her!

My wife has been a resident of this Care Home for approximately 10 weeks, having been discharged from hospital after an 8-week stay following a fall in which she fractured a wrist. She has Dementia and was living at home until I found that I could no longer cope.
My wife has settled in very well,
and although she doesn't seem to bond with most of the other residents she adores the staff and they seem to be very fond of her. I'm pleased that the Care Home is able to arrange and dispense her medication and arrange for her to see the visiting hairdresser and chiropodist regularly. My only worry is that she may need to have dental treatment at some time and she's not well enough to visit the dentist.
She appreciates the food and apparently, having consumed hers, she takes food from other residents, she certainly has a good appetite. The location of the Care Home is excellent and my wife enjoys being taken for a walk down the hill to the river when the weather is kind.

During Mum's last few days in the home, the staff were amazing keeping us updated, explaining to us what was happening and why. They looked after Mum like she was their own, showing her love and care, sitting with her, and listening to her favourite songs. The staff constantly checked on Mum and us
the family during our difficult time and were very supportive of us all.

Always made to feel very welcome it’s like being a part of a family. Well done to everyone, Mum is very well looked, after always dressed nice and hair and nails done when it’s available. There is always someone around also if you need to talk or if there is anything on your mind about your mum.

My Uncle has now been at Beech Lodge for one year. It took him a while to settle in and get used to the many changes in his life. The staff have been very patient with him and have answered any questions that I have had about his care and well-being.

My aunt has been at Beech Lodge now for a couple of years and has settled in well. Not living nearby I am unable to visit frequently but this has not been a problem as my aunt has made so many friends with others staying there that she is more than happy with our phone calls and; visits when we are
able. My aunt seems to be very popular with the staff and it's lovely when I was visiting and everyone is so friendly to her, there's plenty for her to do and she is very happy which puts my mind at rest. Any problems and I am contacted straight away. The only complaint I have is that it's such a nasty turn in and out onto the main road but sadly nothing can be done to fix that I'm always glad when that bit is over with!

Mum has only been at Beech Lodge for a few weeks, but she seems settled, and all the staff seem kind and caring. It is nice to see different rooms for the residents to be in, and the menu for food seems varied and interesting. The team will be making a birthday cake for Mum's 90th birthday, which is
very thoughtful. It is a small care home, which means that the team gets to know the residents and their needs well.
Our only difficulties were with initially finding a home as we do not live in the local area. The postcode takes you to another road nearby so better signage to Beech Lodge from the main road would be helpful.

This is a lovely care home with great staff. Moving a relative into care is one of the most difficult decisions you have to make, but with lots of help from staff everything went really smoothly. My uncle has been here for a year now, he has been very well looked after and settled in really well.
Cannot praise the staff enough for their wonderful care. Knowing he is safe and well looked after has changed our lives, we were so worried about him before.
