What a great improvement really brought the home up to date with the new decorations very modern look well done, and the staff are accomodating and friendly.

A genuine all round helpful and caring care home and care staff. A professional home to have my Auntie look after at. Their hard work is much appreciated and respected always.

What a difference the refurbishment has made! The lounge has lovely comfortable arm chairs for everyone and the dining area is now full of light & the new tables & chairs make a much more sociable atmosphere. I cannot speak too highy of all the staff who carry out their duties with such care, kindness & understanding to all residents. I feel very fortunate and grateful that M is in such good hands. Thank you!

Gill has been at Beacon House for about 18 months and is happy, always looks well presented & is very well looked after. All the staff, without exception are kind, attentive & helpful from Sarah & Tobi down. The recent redecoration makes the place not just attractive, but smart, yet homely. A brilliant home, a brilliant team - well done team B.H.

Beacon House provides first class care to residents with a wide range of needs. The team of carers seem genuinely 'caring' and get involved in activities as well as their routine activities. A recent major refurbishment of the home has made a huge difference to the feel of the place and the boosted morale of staff, residents and visitors!

All the staff at Beacon House are truly wonderful. I really can't thank them enough for the loving care and compassion (and patience!) which they demonstrate on a daily basis when supporting my elderly mother. There is a genuine family atmosphere between the residents and the staff who are always smiling and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with how the staff/management handled the recent refurbishment (with minimum disruption to the residents!) which has transformed the internal environment.

We are very happy with the care. Especially as out mother's last care home was negligant everyone is friendly, helpful and attentive to our mother. Everywhere is tidy and clean meals are regular and drinks always available. Our mother is always carefully dressed and is clean and looked after regarding hair, nails etc. I know the medical team are regular visitors.

Visted Beacon House today around lunchtime. The staff are all absolutely delightful, so friendly, happy & so kind to the residents. The lunch looked delicious, followed by a pudding and a coffee - just great! Beacon House feels happy! There is good energy here. The place is clean and tidy and has amazing views over the harbour from the beautifully sunny conservatory. Well done, team!

My mum in law has been here for 9 years. She has always been looked after with love & care. She has reached 105 years old, only because of the wonderful care she has received. I just feel the hoe could do with some modernisation.

I have been in Beacon House since 17th November 2022 and from the start, I was impressed by the commitment of the staff in the care of the residents. The staff were proactive in asking you if you were feeling well and happy and if you had any problems. I have given good feedback for the family environment created by staff and management. Since Friday 10th November 2023, I have, after a risk assessment, been allowed out which has been great.

I spent just over two months in Beacon House as part of my recovery from a stroke. All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful which made my stay there far less traumatic than it might have been. I have happy memories of my time there.

My mother moved into Beacon House two months ago and we are so delighted at the transformation in her happiness and wellbeing. The staff already know her individual needs and she is obviously benefiting from their excellent care. She is not nearly so stressed about her memory loss and enjoys the many activities and outings they arrange. The meals are very wholesome and the tea/coffee trolley is always doing its rounds. The management are very high calibre and hands-on. The home is comfortable, well heated and has a family atmosphere. My mother’s room is ideal for her, though she prefers to be out in the communal area all day engaging with the other residents and staff. So much better for her than when she lived alone in her flat getting more and more agitated. We congratulate all those working at Beacon House on making my mother’s old age as happy as possible.

A very good home, great atmosphere and all round care. Good food and interesting menu, plenty for the residents to do with regular entertainment. Residents encouraged to engage and take part in activities.

My sister and I have had fantastic service from the manager and all the staff with regard to our elderly mother with dementia. They have all gone above and beyond to make her comfortable and communicate effectively with us.
