View Full Details of Chelfham House Residential Care HomeMy mum moved into Chelfham in February this year, she has vascular dementia she kept having falls at home and wouldn't eat since being at Chelfham and chatting to the lovely friendly staff I have learn that her appetite has really improved she hasn't had any falls since being there every time I visit she is happy and clean as is the home I was so worried about my mum going into residential care but it has been the best thing to help her with this cruel illness there are activities and she goes out on trips. I am so grateful for the care and kindness they give to my mum and us as a family.
My dad was transferred from hospital to Chelfham House. Although his dementia isolated him, the home ensured he was included and not just left in his room. Dad took a sudden turn for the worse and the staff really stepped up. I could not have asked for better care. All members of staff, from the top to the cleaners, were friendly and helpful. Their communication with family was excellent. The food was very good and alternate meals were offered to ensure Dad would eat. The home was clean and had a bright happy decor.
My mother passed away recently at Chelfham House Residential Care Home. I moved Mum to Chelfham in 2017 to be near me. The staff were great; they loved Mum, and Mum equally loved them. The care was great - nothing was a problem. And when Mum was in end-of-life care...everyone was wonderful, respectful, and soo caring. I can't thank the team enough.
