View Full Details of The Old Vicarage Care HomeExcellent service, compassionate; everyone is treated with respect and dignity. Thoroughly enjoyable family day.
A very happy afternoon at The Old Vicrage for their garden party. Beautifully organised with tables, chairs and sun umbrellas in the stunning garden. BBQ provided for residents and carers and a vocalist who sang songs from yesteryear. Even members of the caring staff who were not ton duty turned up in 'mufti', which shows a lot for their dedication. Manager and her deputy very much in evidence and a raffle held on behalf of Alzheimer's Society.
Mum is very happy at The Old Vicarage which is a huge comfort for us all. Mum always says how caring and kind everyone is. She enjoys feeling part of a community without feeling pressured. Thank you to everyone from the bottom of my heart. Overall a great experience for all of us.
Lovely atmosphere. Friendly staff. Enjoy the open days in the garden. Residents are well looked after. Very good food.
The lady in question is a recent resident. Despite this, I have noticed a significant improvement in her self, she is much more content, relaxed and outgoing. Each of these I put done to her feeling of security encouraged by one and by all.
The staff at The Old Vicarage in heigh are exceptional. The manager and her team not only focus on the residents comfort and happiness but also the families who come to visit their relatives. The location and surrounding gardens are wonderful and the organised events and activities certainly meet all the needs of the residents. As a family, we couldn't ask for more!
Always friendly, nothing ever was too much trouble. Always there when needed. Kind and caring staff.
We moved Mum here following a less favourable experience in a previous home. Mum has settled immediately. She has a beautiful room and it's kept immaculately clean along with her bathroom. The staff are incredible - helpful, attentive and reassuring. They provide real care for Mum and treat her with kindness and respect and dignity. More than anything they strive hard to give Mum (and all their residents) the best shot at what life they have left and for that I am extremely grateful.
Dad was well looked after and got to know the staff during his six-month stay. Everyone was so kind and considerate of all his needs delivering a professional service with a personal touch. He was very happy during his last months and we as a family took great comfort in knowing he was well cared for. Staff were very accommodating of his loss of appetite and tried many options to try and tempt him to eat. He was able to move to a lake-view room when one became available and he enjoyed his last days there. Thank you so much.
I moved my wife to The Old Vicarage from another local nursing home, as they left her in bed 24/7. I was so pleased on my first visit to see that she was up, washed, dressed and sat out in her chair watching TV. What a lovely transformation. I find all the staff very cheerful, helpful and nothing is a problem. She has a lovely room, and the lovely gardens make for a very relaxing home to stay in. Well done all.
An exceptional care home with wonderful staff and beautiful surroundings. Kind, considerate and always attentive. Really can't fault anyone.
The summer garden party was amazing. First-class food and entertainment. Thank you for everything you do. Well done to all.
We looked at other care homes and chose this for its closeness to our Sherbourne home its position and convenience and availability and reputation. All there were excellent. The staff were caring competent and interesting. We had no hesitation in deciding to use the home again to meet our coming needs. So au revoir to The Old Vicarage Care Home and thanks.
The garden is delightful and well maintained with good views. They lift the spirit and restore feelings of well-being. The staff were both friendly and professional nothing was too much trouble night and day. We will certainly use the respite facility again when we need to, in order to give our wonderful family relief from our care of us, as a couple and not separated, for more than they have to be. Very satisfied.
Very good care and attention given throughout my stay. A very good stay, mixing with other residents during the day.
My mother-in-law arrived at The Old Vicarage Care Home in June, when the garden and roses were beautiful, a week before her 101st birthday, after spending five weeks in hospital following a fall. She had lost weight and could hardly walk. The care she receives is amazing. She's been encouraged to pursue her hobbies, knitting, painting and playing the piano. She has regained her appetite, enjoys her meals, especially the cooked breakfast and Sunday roasts. The staff are wonderful, kind, caring, professional, always makes you feel welcome when visint.
It has taken a few months for my husband to settle in at the old vicarage. He has had a lot of encouragement from care staff to join activities and mix with other residents. It's a shame that several of the care staff are not permanent. Regular agency staff are always cheerful, kind and considerate.
I have been a resident for four months overall the care is very good although it does alter a bit from day to day as staff can change daily, but the care for your well-being is very good. Would like better hot tea. There are lots of activities and games to entertain us and keep our minds active and exercises to keep the old body moving. We are kept well entertained and loved.
The care home has been excellent. The girls have been very helpful and happy and the chef has made excellent meals. The garden surrounding the house is lovely to look at from all around. The roses are excellent.
I found the informality and friendly staff were very good and I felt relaxed in this atmosphere. The surroundings are lovely and would be hard to beat. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff and they were willing to help me in any way I asked. My friends and relatives who visited me were very well received and made very welcome.
