View Full Details of Greenhill HouseDad always enjoys his time at Greenhill House. I know some of the team there, they say he does as well. We are worried that sometimes he may be on his own in his room and not join in with the activities. So a sheet of things he's done would be helpful and to ask him about once he's home again. The management and staff are friendly and happy to help.
Our father has received fantastic care since moving into Greenhill. The staff are focused on the residents well being rather than red tape or finances. Dad was given a very warm welcome and the team have gone above and beyond to settle him in. Their kindness and dedication has truly made a difference. A big thank you to the manager and the team.
When we visited Greenhill House, prior to my mum going in for respite care for a week, I was impressed by the friendly staff, pleasant surrounding and relaxed atmosphere. I had researched many homes and it was important to find the right one, as this was the first time she had gone into a home as a resident. The food is excellent, plentiful and varied, with a snack bar available, so the residents can help themselves if they get hungry throughout the day. The activities are also varied, lead by helpful and enthusiastic team leaders. As a retired registered nurse, I have working in many homes + would rate this as one of the best + wouldn't hesitate to use Greenhill House again or recommend to others.
All the staff are so friendly and have built individual connections with my Grandad at a very emotional time. They have built lovely connections with all of us too!
A lovely friendly environment which is so important when your loved ones are needing to be looked after. A stressful time in our lives and we feel supported by all the staff.
My mum is a resident in Greenhill Cheddar since October 2023. She has been lucky to find a home and caring staff who have become her world and she regards as friends. It is reassuring for us to know that she is happy at Greenhill and they go out of their way to support and find things to interest mum such as gardening club and getting her to help out with napkin folding at meal times.
First class care and attention. Outstanding - thank you.
My mother has been a resident at Greenhill House for 9 years now, during which time her dementia has gradually progressed to the advanced stage at which it is now. The fact that she has lived there so long is a result of the exceptional high standard of care that she has received over the years. Although Mum is bedridden and unable to communicate, she is always clean, has no bed sores and is treated with dignity and respect. As her needs have changed, Greenhill House have adapted their care to suit her. The management and staff are friendly and approachable, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent.
My Mum moved into Greenhill in February and has settled really well. Without exception the staff are wonderful. They are all very caring and kind and professional. Mum's room is very nice and the food is excellent. We are allowed to visit freely whenever we choose to and on several occasions one of us have arrived when interesting activities are taking place for the residents. My Dad has eaten Sunday lunch at Greenhill with my Mum and thoroughly enjoyed it. We are so glad we chose Greenhill for her care.
Outstanding Care & Exceptional Staff! I can't say enough good things about Greenhill House. From our first visit, we knew it was the right place for Dad. The staff are truly fantastic-kind, compassionate, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure he feels comfortable and well cared for. The administration process was seamless, making what could have been a stressful transition incredibly smooth. The communication from the team is excellent-they keep us informed at all times, whether it's about Dad's well-being, activities, or any updates. It gives us real peace of mind knowing he is in such good hands. Most importantly, Dad is so happy here! He enjoys the wonderful atmosphere, the engaging activities, and the warm company of both staff and residents. It's a joy to see him thriving in a place that truly feels like home. We are beyond grateful to Greenhill House and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a caring and professional environment for their loved ones.
All the staff are always cheerful and helpful. They tell me how mum has been when I am entering the home so I am forewarned, which I appreciate. I am also made very welcome whenever I visit. As mum has difficulties swallowing tablets they contacted the doctor to arrange easier tablets and liquids. Lastly words from my mum " they are very kind".
In choosing a care home for my 85 year old sister, we viewed five local establishments. Greenhill House was prominent. My sister moved into Greenhill late Nov. 2024. Whilst we may have had some initial scepticism, this was short lived. We have found every member of management and staff to be professional, attentive - obliging. The premises are clean to a high standard and the food of good quality. My sister has settled in well and enjoys being there. You are to be congratulated in running an excellent home.
I very much appreciate the team approach at Greenhill. The carers, admin, laundry and kitchen staff all show great concern and interest in both me and my husband. The young lady employed to manage activities is always positive and encouraging. I visit Greenhill most days and find most of the staff showing a high standard of respect to the residents. However I am most concerned at the continual rising costs and worry that I will no longer be able to afford the care of my husband.
My brother has been in Greenhill for some 4 years + we visit when we can + have always found the details as ratings show.
Such a caring team. always attentive and friendly. Nothing seems too much for them. My parents have improved both mentally and physically since they were both admitted.
Staff are very friendly, welcoming, supportive and kind. The cafe my parents are receiving is second to none. Every need is being taken care of and nothing is too much trouble. They have gone from surviving at home to thriving with care.
My husband has only been at Greenhill seven weeks and I feel happy about the care he's getting. I can go home and not worry about him too much.
Greenhill House care home has treated both of my parents with dignity and kindness. They have both gone from surviving to thriving. Their rooms are beautifully clean and the staff are skilled at care and support. They also have supported me as well as my parents during this very difficult time of transition to residential care from a home they lived in for the last 55 years.
Very nice home, clean, modern comfortable with friendly attentive staff. I have seen lots of residential homes and this is the best one I have seen. Everybody seemed comfortable there and well looked after.
My mum was resident in Greenhill House for nearly four years during which time she was really well cared for by the manager and her team. She had a lovely clean, well decorated room and went down in to the communal lounge everyday for her meals, company and to participate in the activities which were put on every day, keeping her stimulated and entertained. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, not only to the residents but also to the family and other visitors. They would always make time to stop for a chat and take an interest.
