Mum moved into her new home (Moorhaven) in December '23. We were quite worried how she would settle in and how life in a care home would be. We needn't have worried. Moorhaven is everything we could ever have asked for. We all feel so fortunate Mum is here. The staff are amazing, nothing is too much
trouble. Guests are made very welcome. Moorhaven links into local schools for different projects and it's wonderful to see the different generations mix. Mum is flourishing here. A huge thank you to everyone from all of our family.

My father has been a resident since September 2025, I live 150 miles away & try to visit fortnightly, I have been supported with accessing Nourish ( electronic care system) & can monitor his daily activities & any incidence as often as I want to, in the absence of my physical presence its
insightful.
The home is clean & dementia friendly, allowing residence to walk with purpose.
Management respond to emails in a timely manner, now offering prompt feedback following significant events.
Management, Senior staff & care staff are getting to know my father, his health conditions & behaviours & are making his residency as comfortable & inclusive as possible.
His daily carers are approachable, & attentive to his preferences.
The catering/kitchen staff provide huge portions, & a varied selection of 3 hot meals a day with deserts, snacks, beverages & biscuits, & a 'tipple' a couple of times a week.
Activities coordinators are friendly with planned entertainment, increasing social stimulation

Dad moved into Moorhaven in October. It was a big move and it has taken him a while to settle and with some degree of dementia he has struggled to understand why he had to leave his home and cat. The staff have been very kind and friendly which has definitely helped. Dad is quite fixed in his ways
and is not always receptive to offers of help/guidance however the staff have persevered and he is now much happier and cooperating with help re bathing etc. It is reassuring to know that he now has 24 hr care he is warm well fed and always has someone around. He is not yet joining in with activities but hopefully this may improve. I have just got access to the app from Micheala which is helpful to read about his daily progress. When we have raised any concerns the staff have listened and addressed them which has been reassuring. I think it would be helpful to better prepare and support families when moving a family member into care as it can be a very stressful time.

I have been pleased with the service and care given to date to my Mother.
I have experienced a pleasant environment and attitude in my dealings for over 3 years or so now in this respect, and trust that this will continue going forward.

My dad has been at Moorhaven since the summer and I cannot praise the home and staff enough for the care and comfort they provide. The home is welcoming, supportive and the staff go above and beyond to make the home a real home for residents. All my dad's care is completed digitally which I have
access to, so great when you can't visit as it enables me to know what his daily activities have been and the care he's received. Michaela the manager is visible and very communicable and always on hand with any concerns or issues. I really can't praise the whole team enough and it's very comforting to know he's always in safe hands.

My MIL was very comfortable at Moorhaven until she really lost her mind. She then became 'snappy' a little aggressive 'What am I here?' 'Who put me in here?' and not happy to the staff - BUT - the staff were amazing! All they cared about was her wellbeing.
You people do a wonderful job with your
guest in mind 100%.
A big THANK YOU!

My husband has just returned from his first respite care stay, an anxious time for both of us. The key thing is the staff who are so welcoming, kind and helpful - and hard working. The respite room could be booked well in advance which was good. The accommodation is set out with smaller lounges
and dining rooms which feels less overwhelming for residents. There are lots of nice areas to sit, all on ground floor level and a lovely enclosed garden. A second stay has been booked.

We visit my mother usually about twice a week. Our visit is always received by happy and helpful staff. My mother has been at Moorhaven for about eighteen months and she is always happy and cheerful. The staff on duty are always happy to help her and she appreciated their kindness.

Mum has been a resident at Moorhaven for over 4 years. The staff are cheerful and kind and have been able to adapt to Mum's changing care needs. Although it is a care home, it feels like a home. My sister and I usually visit 3 times a week and communication with her carers and other staff has always
been good.

My dad moved to this home in March, best move we did, from day 1 he settled well, staff were fantastic in making him and all family welcome. Since dad moved from another nursing home, he has shown improvement, hes now mixing well, eating better, and its lovely to see that he spends more time in the
lounge then his room, which this is down to the staff, thank you.

It was my husbands first time in respite and we were both a little hesitant. However, the staff were wonderful and answered any concerns we had. My husband enjoyed all his meals and the care he received from all members of staff was excellent. His room was clean and welcoming and he was not
pressured into any activities he did not wish to partake in. He was overall a very pleasant experience for both of us and we will be using the service again in the near future.

Having only recently been advised that my aunt was in your care my sister and I visted for the first time yesterday 28/1/25.
We were both extremly impressed from the moment we entered until we left an hour and a half later. Everything about the care level was of the highest standard. The building
was warm, welcoming and very well maintained. The staff were all so proffessional, kind and caring. Our aunt's room was light airy and comfotable as were the other facilities. We spoke briefly to 3 residents who were all very happy and highly complimentary about staff and accommodation. We spoke to staff and nothing seemed too much trouble. Well done.

I have been delighted with how well my dad has settled into Moorhaven. He has looked at home ever since he got there. And he has told people he likes the home and is happy there. I believe this is due to the care of the staff. They go out of their way to make the residents happy and are a support us
as a family too. Any of my observations are looked into and dealt with in a timely manner. It is a relief to leave Dad in their care knowing he's being looked after.

My husband has received four weeks respite care are Moorhaven whilst I underwent radiotherapy. He has been well fed and well looked after by the caring staff. They were all lovely and saw to his every need. The home itself was spotlessly clean and smelt fresh at all times. If my husband needs
permanent care in the future, this is where I hope he could be.
