The care the whole staff showed to my mother-in-law was second to none. She was so well cared for always clean, tidy and well looked after. When she could she joined in the many activities enjoying trips and quizzes, flower arranging anything she could manage. The staff were attentive and it felt
she had found another family. As her life drew to a close staff sat with her keeping her company when family could not be with her a great comfort to us. A star in my opinion

Rowden House provided respite care for my mother when she came out of hospital. The staff were attentive and in the 2 weeks she stayed there, they encouraged her to join in with activities, and she became more mobile. All the staff we had dealings with were friendly helpful and supportive.

The manager accommodated my mum at very short notice and offered a compassionate and flexible approach. I found her honest and open approach comforting and this was a lifesaver as we navigated this whole new landscape at a very stressful time. Rowden seems a homely and peaceful place, the food is
good and the activities are outstanding. There is a diary of events published each month and they have helped inject some unanticipated fun, stimulation and entertainment into every day. All staff seem very competent and although we're all getting used to things and seeing how things work, I feel that Mum is in safe and caring hands. I can see that the grounds will be lovely now Spring is arriving - another bonus. Thank you to everyone.

I have been very happy with the care of my mother at Rowden House. She was there for over two years and was very content. I had never had to worry about her I knew that as soon as there were any issues they would contact me straight away. Mixed feelings about the laundry service. A few of my mothers
clothes were spoilt. I knew that they have to be washed at certain temperatures, for sanitary reasons. But I am afraid that I cannot think of answer to resolve this.

Our Mum moved into Rowden house at the end of December 2024. She became a permanent resident at the end of January 2025.
The staff have all been very kind, caring & respectful during this traumatic time (- having to leave her home of 55 years, several episodes of respite care & still not coping at
home ) Despite the challenges of this being an old building & not a new purpose built unit, the facilities are good & opportunities to partake in different activities are satisfactory .

I am really pleased with the standard of care at Rowden House. My dad has settled in really well. The staff are SO kind. The home has a real family atmosphere and the range of activities provided is excellent. After caring for my dad for three years and him being so vulnerable it was hard to 'let
go' and trust his care to someone else, but all the staff at Rowden we so welcoming and reassuring it has been a really positive experience. He is very contented there. A massive thankyou to everyone at Rowden!

I have been visiting Rowden House regularly since a long-standing friend became a resident there. My father-in-law has subsequently also become a resident. During my visits to Rowde House, I have always been very impressed with the care shown to all the residents; staff show an understanding of the
needs of individuals. Residents are treated with compassion, dignity and appropriate interactions. The health, welfare and well-being of residents are clearly well-managed by everyone.

Mum moved into Rowden at the end of December 2024, after previous respite care placement at a different care home, which was totally unsuitable for her. She has settled in well now, but it has taken some time for her to get used to the realisation she can no longer return home.

Rowden House team are very friendly and helpful. They make everyone feel at home. The care they provide is very personal, the food is freshly cooked and very tasty. They made every effort to make my mother's stay as comfortable as possible.

Mum was given 2 weeks of respite care due to Dad being taken into hospital.
Everything was done at short notice, but this was no problem. The whole system was simple and easy with great help from all who were here. Mum was made very welcome and I cannot thank everyone enough. Thank you!

In all aspects of the service provision, I have witnessed great care and attention delivered to the residents. The staff unfailingly attends to the needs and wishes of the residents in a timely, respectful, and constructive manner.

Rowden House has been amazing for my mum, she has now been there a year and in that time has been made to feel comfortable and cared for. The staff are brilliant with her and although she doesn't participate in any activities there always seems to be lots on offer. The food is great and since being
there she looks so much healthier. I couldn't have asked for more. The room is cosy and clean and she has very much made herself at home, thank you!

When visiting, I have to wait for some time for the front door to be opened, usually by a busy member of staff who has to quickly disappear for another alarm that needs to be answered, this is also the case when I want to leave.
It has been mentioned that a visiting room would be put downstairs
this would be a fantastic addition, as downstairs feels very empty and depressing, it would be nice for a member of staff to be situated there as it's a long way for them to come if needed.

I'm pleased to say my mother has been given excellent care and attention. I appreciate the way the staff have treated her like a friend and have kept me informed of Mum's condition and her wellbeing. Thank you.

With my father terminally ill, they were able to take mother and father to support each other. Father only lasted 10 days, mother is now a confident and happy resident, settled. It made such a difference having them together, a big thank you to all the staff. Could not have asked for more.

At the end of April, I visited my old neighbour/friend for the first time. I was very impressed with Rowden House Care Home. It had a home-from-home warm feeling. I thought the two care workers I saw were caring, compassionate and helpful. The standard of cleaning was high. My friend looked well and
happy. The outside grounds and gardens and seating and outdoor room were all cared for and colourful. I can't comment on the management, food and drink or value for money as I didn't come across them or know what it costs.

Rowden House is a very nice building, decorated very well, very clean and homely. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much trouble.

Both my parents have been residents in Rowden House since June 2022. They are both very settled and very happy. Dad will be 102 in April and Mum 100 in November. They celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary on Saturday 20th January 2024 with an afternoon tea for family and friends in one of the
lovely lounges in Rowden House. Everyone was made to feel very welcome and at home by all the staff. Thank you Rowden House for all your caring ways!

My aunt continues to be extremely well looked after at Rowden House. Whenever I visit she says how kind and caring the staff are, how much she likes her room, and how good the food is. The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever I visit or ring with any queries. They can always be depended
upon to contact me promptly to seek consent for vaccinations and the like, and to report any issues of concern. This is particularly significant to me as I live at some distance from the area, and contributes greatly to my peace of mind. The home runs a comprehensive activity programme and they are especially good at marking significant birthdays.
