We were very impressed by the standard of care provision, going beyond very good basic care, extending to pastoral care and daily activities to suit an elderly Christian. Support is also provided to resident's families through meetings provided by management and 'The way we care' team, and reception
staff are very friendly.
Cleanliness was excellent and the building facilities are fantastic being newly purpose-built, with wonderful shared activity spaces for activities including church services.
We liked the layout of the four households, each with its own lounge/dining area, with a homely arrangement of furniture, rather than a care home feel.
Care itself was of a very good standard, we were never once concerned that it was lacking, and when our aunt became immobile, extra provision of special chair and mattress etc was provided, and we always felt the care team were approachable. In her last weeks, both care and pastoral support were excellent. It was everything we wished for.

Mum spent 3 happy years at Middlefields, the care is amazing. Mum felt loved and respected by everyone in all areas whether admin, care or housekeeping staff. During her last days the care team ensured mum was comfortable, getting medics in very quickly when needed for pain relief etc. As a family
we were cared for as well, receiving so much comfort, especially when we went in to clear mum's room. Thank you all!

Mum went in for a couple of weeks respite care and was in good, caring hands during her stay. Everyone at Middlefields was so welcoming and made Mum feel included from the minute she got there. Mum really enjoyed her stay and I knew she was totally safe and looked after. I would fully recommend
Middlefields. Thank you for looking after Mum.

Mum came to Middlefields House at the end of her life and she was treated by each member of staff with such kindness, respect and dignity. I will always be so grateful because Mum had been going through a difficult and painful time at home and the staff managed to help her to be comfortable and at
peace. I too felt held and cared for. Every single member of staff I came across- the cafe staff, the receptionists, the carers, the care managers, the administrative staff- I felt, was genuinely caring and wanting to be of service.
Without hesitation this would be the care home for me.

On the occasion of my first contact with Middlefields, I was so distressed about my parents' situation - my sister and I + our families live abroad) and the Business manager - a wonderful woman who has such a gift of calming people - really took the time to listen to us and reassure us. I left the
home feeling hopeful for the first time in a long time!
To know that our mother - who suffers from Alzheimer - is now safe and so well cared for at Middlefields is such a relief to our father, my sister, our families and me.
My last visit at home was so traumatic - my mother would not allow me to do anything to really help her, as she did not recognise me.
Visiting her at Middlefields was such a contrast - I could leave the everyday tasks to the delightful staff and could enjoy quality time with my mother in the lovely gardens, just listening to her or stroking her hair while she soaked up the sun.
This was such a gift to me - real memories to be cherished forever!

Exceptionally welcoming, high standard of cleanliness, very homlie relaxed atmosphere decorated with soft colours..The harvest restaurant suburb food and Exceptional quality of customer service..
Facilities and care quality very good, residential living area is very spacious and comfortable with
perfect outdoor space, clean and tidy well looked after.
All services provided & care is excellent..
I would live here myself if I had too I would choose Middlefield in Chippenham..

Every time I go to Middlefields to visit Grandad, all the staff are incredibly friendly and the care and connection for residents is clear from the moment you walk in. It was lovely to glimpse the Christmas party and see the music and dancing with everyone.

I would highly recommend this care home. They provide not just for the physical needs but very much the spiritual and social needs. They also support family above and beyond.
All the team are amazing, friendly, caring and just so loving.
The place is peaceful, clean and spacious.

After visiting our sister at Middlefields House, Chippenham, with my brother, his wife and another sister, travelling over 200 miles for the occasion of her 85th birthday. I would like to make the following comments.
We found all the staff from the management, carers, canteen, cleaners, reception,
and everyone we met to be extremely helpful, caring, kind and compassionate to both us and my sister at all times. Nothing was too much trouble. The birthday cake provided, cards and presents, special balloons and decorations for her meant a lot to her and were appreciated by her and us all. It made her feel special. We also appreciated having a room on our own to be able to eat lunch all together on both days.
My sister and I stayed in the guest room provided for one night which was warm, comfortable, satisfactory, adequate, and sufficient for both our needs. We hope to visit again but the distance of 200 miles and our health issues make it difficult.
Thank you for providing such a lovely place with delightful staff for our sister to call home during the last years of her life.

My youngest brother and his wife kindly escorted my second sister and myself to visit the sister currently living in Middlefields House on her birthday. Our general experience was very good. All the staff were very kind, obliging, thoughtful and caring. All my sister's basic physical needs were met
and she seemed relaxed and content (although there's nowhere like home). She was, however, rather lonely and we felt would benefit from some physiotherapy to enable her to be a little more independent and mobile. This is, I realise, difficult to achieve for all residents. She responded so well to our taking her out for coffee in a nearby coffee shop on Thursday morning before we headed back to Suffolk.

I can't imagine a better place for my mother-in-law to be in her latter years. From the moment you're greeted at the reception desk to the carers and the cafe staff, there seems to be nothing but smiles and genuine friendliness. Nothing is too much trouble. Mum has been in Middlefields for over two
years now and is very settled. Everyone who comes to see her says what a lovely place it is. It has a lovely atmosphere, due in no small part to the Christian ethos which undergirds all the Pilgrim Friend's Society Homes. There's also a great appreciation from the staff and management for the support from relatives and they like to engage with them regularly.
The activities are incredibly imaginative - they're never afraid to try something new and get everyone involved, not just with family and friends, but in the wider community as well.

My aunt moved to Middlefields this year. The home is wonderful, the staff are too and she has settled in really quickly. We are delighted with the care she is getting. Middlefields is excellent, we can't believe she has ended up in such a lovely place.

My wife has only been in the home for 6 weeks, and seems very happy there, although often wanting to come home, failing to understand the necessity of her residing there. The staff are amazingly understanding of this, and help to overcome those moments. The rooms are so pleasantly large and light,
with view of the garden. The whole atmosphere of the home is very pleasant, and I'm so thankful to God for this lovely provision.

Our experience at Middlefields House has been excellent. My father is well cared for by friendly, caring and professional staff. In fact, all staff at Middlefields have always behaved in an exemplary manner. Dad is really happy at Middlefields. He regards it as home. He loves the activities and has
made real friends with the other residents. I know that he really appreciates the help and support that he received after my mother passed away earlier in the year.

The care at Middlefields is outstanding in every way. The design of the home is superb and supports caring, small households where individual needs are paramount. The Christian ethos surrounds the environment and the public coffee shop is a hub of friendly activity. All care homes should be based on
this model. I am so relieved my mum is being taken care of at Middlefield.

The home is fitted out to a very high standard. The staff are unfailingly welcoming and caring. My mother's well-being has improved since she has been living at Middlefields. She enjoys all the activities, especially the singing.

Middlefields has been a wonderful place for my mother to spend her later years. She settled in very quickly two years ago, and has made some lovely friends both among the residents and the staff.
On our most recent visit we took advantage of the guest room in the home, which proved to be a great
choice. Having the cafe to provide our midday meal was a massive bonus, too.
The level of care Mum has received has been second to none, and I have had experience of many residential homes over the years in various parts of the country.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Middlefields to prospective residents.

My nan lived in this care home and she loved it, a lot of the staff were awesome to her, she loved the activities there and many of the carers. The atmosphere was so calming. The staff loved her and were by our side when she was taking her last few breaths. This care home is really calming.
