Opened in Summer 2021, Middlefields House offers excellent care and support to 48 people, living in four households of 12. Each household feels like a regular family home, with a lounge and dining area, as well as a second lounge.
Middlefields House offers high quality, personalised care, including respite care to those who need it and care for those at the end of their lives. Care for those living with dementia is also available.
All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and are fully furnished, although each resident is encouraged to personalise their room with their own belongings. As well as each household lounge and dining room, there are communal spaces for the whole home, including a winter garden.
Middlefields House is run by a General Manager and a Registered Care Manager. They oversee a team of dedicated and trained carers, a facilities team, a housekeeping team, and a catering team. Middlefields House has an active social life with a programme of in-house and external activities. Residents will be supported to take part as and when they wish, or enjoy quite time if preferred.
The team supports the spiritual lives of the residents through regular devotions, and times of prayer and singing together. They are supported by local churches and Christians, encouraging those of the Christian faith in their spiritual journey.

We accept those who are paying for their own care (self-funders), those who are being supported by the Local Authority, and those in receipt of Continuing Healthcare (CHC) funding.

• Enhanced care: this is where assessed needs are highly complex and where mechanical or technical assistance is frequently needed. We charge for dementia care at this rate.
The Registered Care Manager will assess you prior to admission to determine the level of care provision required. These fees are valid between 1st April 2026 and 31st March 2027 and are reviewed annually. Our fees are charged per person, per week. We do not require a deposit and we do not require a guarantor.

There is something very special about our home and whilst the whole team works very hard to ensure all our family members care needs are met, it is indeed that sense of love and belonging that create an environment where personal centred care includes a holistic approach where physical, emotional, spiritual and social needs are lovingly met. It is such a joy to hear the difference Middlefields is making to both Mum and yourself - our care extends to relatives and visitors as we truly believe family is everything. When the time came for my mum to move into Middlesfields Care Home, it was naturally a very difficult decision for our family. However, from the very beginning, the team made us feel welcome, supported, and reassured.
The facilities are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a safe and pleasant environment for the residents. Communication with the home has been good throughout. The staff are always approachable, happy to answer any questions, and keep us informed about how Mum is doing, which gives our family real peace of mind.
What truly makes Middlesfields stand out is the exceptional care provided by the staff. It is clear that caring for the residents is far more than just a job-it is a genuine passion. They treat Mum with kindness, dignity, patience, and compassion every day, taking the time to know her as an individual and making her feel valued and respected.

Care itself was of a very good standard, we were never once concerned that it was lacking, and when our aunt became immobile, extra provision of special chair and mattress etc was provided, and we always felt the care team were approachable. The greater part of living here at Middlefields is in your feeling the kind and caring community atmosphere - where all are loved, respected and afforded dignity and fulfilled living through every stage of being with us. My youngest brother and his wife kindly escorted my second sister and myself to visit the sister currently living in Middlefields House on her birthday. Our general experience was very good. All the staff were very kind, obliging, thoughtful and caring. All my sister's basic physical needs were met and she seemed relaxed and content (although there's nowhere like home). She was, however, rather lonely and we felt would benefit from some physiotherapy to enable her to be a little more independent and mobile. This is, I realise, difficult to achieve for all residents. She responded so well to our taking her out for coffee in a nearby coffee shop on Thursday morning before we headed back to Suffolk.

I am so relieved my mum is being taken care of at Middlefield.

Rali came to the UK in 2002 and took on the position of a care assistant in Devizes. In 2009 she joined the Pilgrims’ Friend Society at Leonora Home (now closed) as a care team leader. In 2019 she completed a diploma in Health & Social Care. When Middlefields House opened in August 2021 she was promoted to Deputy Manager and then to Registered Care Manager.
