When visiting my father in law I consistently find the care providers friendly and caring, and on every interaction with my father in law, gentle and considerate. When I leave I am always so very grateful to know that he is the care of people who genuinely look after him. I can't speak highly enough
of the home, its cleanliness, peaceful atmosphere and calmness of the staff.

My husband recently had a two week , respite care stay at Bridgemead. He was well looked after and needed nursing level of care. He had his dietary requirements and medical needs well catered for by the staff. His needs were assessed at home prior to his stay and I was confident that he would get the
right level of care and able to have a much needed break without worrying about him. The staff could not be more helpful and caring.

My mother was in the excellent care of the Koinonia team for 5.9 years. Her care from the moment of admission to her death in June 2025 was exemplary. The team led by the manager have, many times, gone above and beyond.
She was treated with respect, gentleness, kindness and great affection. The staff
displayed a great deal of perseverance and patience on a daily basis.
I received updates as and when necessary.
The Christian ethos was reflected in their care.
The manager has created a team he should be proud of, for which he should be congratulated.
I too received friendly conversations and many a cup of tea, for which I was always very grateful!
I thank the Lord for His provision. I continue to pray for God's richest blessings on each and everyone one of you.

My husband who has Alzheimer's became part of the KOINONIA family in June and I am so very happy with the care he is receiving there. The staff always have a smile for everyone and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. He has given the staff some very challenging moments as he settled in but
through their Christ centred loving and professional care for him he is now much more at peace in his new environment. The home is a place where the Christian way of life is lived in all its fullness and where my husband can be free to live his life of faith with others who love Jesus. I can't thank the senior care staff enough for helping me navigate this new way of life for my husband, answering my many questions and guiding me along the way. A great big thank you to everyone at KOINONIA for welcoming my husband and I into your family.

A lovely home for my Mum, where the Christian ethos shines through, and the kind & friendly staff care holistically for the family members. My Mum enjoys the delicious meals, the daily devotions time, and afternoon activities that range from cheese tasting to piano concerts.
She has a very comfortable
room with beautiful views over the River Avon, where wildlife and a variety of passing watercraft provide added entertainment! Her medical needs are well-managed, and she receives excellent care in a timely manner from both day and night staff.
Bridgemead's managers and the building maintenance specialist were all really efficient, helpful and accommodating during my Mum's transition into residential care, ensuring that everything went smoothly, and that her room really feels like home, with her familiar pictures on the walls. She has access to a good WiFi signal to keep in contact easily with family and friends, and we ourselves also feel very welcomed by staff whenever we visit my Mum.

Our experience both in the lead up to my mum's move to Framland, and the settling in period following, has been excellent. The home has a friendly, caring, family environment, and the setting is lovely. Communication has been easy and efficient. The rooms are well equipped and homely. Staff are exceptional
- everyone has been so helpful and welcoming, and mum is being extremely well cared for. I think what sets it apart is that it in no way feels like an "institutional" setting. It really feels like a home with an extended family. It's lovely for mum to be with others who share her faith, and some of whom she has known for years. I don't think we could have settled on a better home for her.

Throughout my father's stay at Finborough Court I observed first hand the care, conscientiousness and dignity that the staff treated and served him with. Being in such pleasant and positive surroundings proved to be such a tonic to dad in the later stages of his life. Over the time he was a resident
I saw his personality shine and blossom. Much of this was due to the surroundings and environment, of love that was communicated by all who served at Finborough. I'm so glad that we took the step that we did as a family that gave dad those precious final years in this welcoming well run and friendly care home.

Outstanding care from a truly compassionate team.

My mother lived at Finborough Court for almost four years until her recent passing. She had dementia and was profoundly deaf, yet the staff always found thoughtful ways to communicate with her, and treated her with such kindness, dignity, and patience.

They really are an amazing team. During her final days, I stayed five nights and saw how exceptional the night staff were wearing pyjamas to avoid confusing residents at night was just one of many small, caring touches, working together like a well oiled machine! They gently cared for mum and supported me too - with warmth and compassion I'll never forget. I'm deeply grateful for the care she received. However, I do feel the need to mention the cost - almost £8,000 every four weeks - which places a huge burden on families and deserves review.
Reply from Karen Bleay, Manager at Finborough Court

Thank you for the lovely comments. I'm so glad that your mum received such compassionate and inclusive care, with staff even wearing their pyjamas at night to help residents feel settled! The staff at Milward House go over and above to ensure that the residents are valued, loved, cared for and are happy. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The home has a Christian foundation, with all residents having an active faith. This is respected, encouraged and fed through regular services and activities.
The residents have just been on their annual 'staycation' to Wales. Sue, the activities coordinator, did an amazing job encouraging learning, engagement and fun activities about all things Welsh. I happened to visit when the ice cream van turned up, playing it's happy tune, which brought much enjoyment, and, no doubt brought back memories to many.
I am very happy that I can rest assured that Mum is being well looked after and loved by the staff at Milward. I feel we, as a family, are so fortunate to have Mum in such a great home. Thank you to all at Milward for going over and above to look after Mum and ensuring she is well looked after, happy and loved.

After a long journey to find the right place for my friend she walked into Shottermill House and loved the environment instantly. If fact she did not want to go home as she was so happy.
Soon afterwards my friend moved into Shottermill House. She walked around for ages saying I can't believe I now
live here. I see my friend's happy face, well cared for, meeting all her needs. She has made friends. She can now voice her own needs which she could not do before. She has fitted into Shottermill life like a glove. My friend loves the daily devotions, she enjoys the food and the choices she is offered. The daily activities and outings are so meaningful for her. She loves walking around the garden. I am at peace knowing my friend is at peace. Thank you Shottermill team

Thank you for your kind words. Indeed, she has settled in so well at Shottermill, it is amazing to see the transformation in her in such a short time. As you say, she is so at peace, it is a joy to see her so happy. It is wonderful that you are able to have peace too. We look forward to seeing you again soon.

Middlefields House

Mum came to Middlefields House at the end of her life and she was treated by each member of staff with such kindness, respect and dignity. I will always be so grateful because Mum had been going through a difficult and painful time at home and the staff managed to help her to be comfortable and at peace.
I too felt held and cared for. Every single member of staff I came across- the cafe staff, the receptionists, the carers, the care managers, the administrative staff- I felt, was genuinely caring and wanting to be of service.
Without hesitation this would be the care home for me.

Thank you for taking the time to give such a thoughtful and honest review, following the sad loss of your Mum. It was an absolute privilege to be able to support Mum through her last days and for you to be assured that she was safe, at peace and comfortable is also of paramount importance to the care we provide. We are blessed with an incredible team who are passionate about ensuring everyone at Middlefields House knows they are valued, loved and cared for.
