Middlefields has been a wonderful place for my mother to spend her later years. She settled in very quickly two years ago, and has made some lovely friends both among the residents and the staff.
On our most recent visit we took advantage of the guest room in the home, which proved to be a great choice. Having the cafe to provide our midday meal was a massive bonus, too.
The level of care Mum has received has been second to none, and I have had experience of many residential homes over the years in various parts of the country.

I can wholeheartedly recommend Middlefields to prospective residents.

My nan lived in this care home and she loved it, a lot of the staff were awesome to her, she loved the activities there and many of the carers. The atmosphere was so calming. The staff loved her and were by our side when she was taking her last few breaths. This care home is really calming.

Middlefield House has truly become my mum's new home. The staff are friendly, caring and very professional and overall make the family feel very welcome and keep us updated on Mum's care and needs. From the time you walk through the door in reception, to the coffee shop staff and everyone you meet, you are made to feel very welcome and the whole place has a lovely feel to it. It is truly a lovely, caring home for my mum.

Mum has settled into home, which is pleasing considering the circumstances which led to her being there. Home dealt well with an issue I raised. The facilities are good, and the staff are friendly and helpful.

Words really cannot describe how wonderful the home is.
The difference in my wonderful mum is so marked she really is her old self again.
The facilities are wonderful, it's like walking into a hotel not a care home. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, light and airy.
Mum's room is light and spacious and has everything she needs.
The gardens are lovely too.
However, what sets it apart is the care my mum is given. She is so happy. The staff are all wonderful and that's from the moment you walk through the door.
Mum keeps asking if she is staying there and when I say yes she really is delighted. She seems to have a sense of purpose again. She loves to look after everyone.
She is woken in the morning by staff that can't do enough for her and it's the same throughout the day.
I really can't recommend it enough. It was a tough decision moving mum to a home for my sister and I, but seeing how happy she is I wish we had done sooner.

Thank you all.

I waited a few weeks after being given this form so that I would have been here for a full year. The staff are different to describe but are amazingly dedicated to their caring role. The few trivial problems are the result of the challenge of communicating any changes to staff which is 'fluid' and open to alterations inevitable in a complex organisation. No task seems too much trouble for them. If a question needing an answer is asked, one can rely on the fact that it will be 'sorted' and a reasonable explanation is given. My family are so very grateful to our 'new home' staff, especially so as I was recently bereaved.

My Mum settled into Middlefields with ease and more quickly than expected thanks to the amazing care team in Household 1. The care is more person-centred and joined-up than she has experienced anywhere else - including a Bupa care home. She loves the Christian atmosphere, going to the service on Sunday, singing in the choir, and enjoys other activities. As a family, we are so relieved that our Mum is in safe hands where she can live out her remaining years in comfort with fabulous holistic care. Thank you so much everyone!

Where to start... what a wonderful place. First impressions count for so much. Upon walking into this wonderful environment and the friendliness and smiling faces of all the staff, you know straight away that it's going to be good.
The opportunities presented to all residents to get involved with a full and varied programme of activities is astounding. The mix of professional support, volunteers, residents and families leads to a true family atmosphere in Middlefields House.
All staff demonstrate a caring, compassionate nature towards all the residents. I am in total awe of their professionalism and caring nature at all times.
The peace of mind provided by Dad's stay in Middlefields gives my brothers and I complete confidence that he is in safe hands in his later years.

I would highly recommend Middlefields to anyone considering a care home for an aged relative. I am sure that you won't be disappointed.

Middlefields House is currently looking after my mum.
She came straight to Middlefields from hospital and has received excellent care from the whole household team she lives with. All the staff really seem to know my mum and make sure they spend quality time with her as well as taking care of all her physical needs.
As well as the household staff, all the staff at reception are friendly and approachable. Nothing is too much trouble.

I feel very lucky that Mum is being cared for in such a warm, friendly, caring environment.

My mum is very happy in Middlefields care. Staff have taken time to get to know her and to understand both her physical needs but also her personality. She is encouraged and supported to take part in the activities arranged for residents. Middlefields provides a lovely environment for Mum to be looked after. It's clean and bright, and the furnishings are comfortable and well-maintained. Her room is homely, and the ensuite wet room is really beneficial for them. Above all, the staff at Middlefields care about the residents and want the best for them.

Middlefields House is a care home that has exceeded all my expectations. From the moment my mum arrived, it was evident this was a place where compassion and care were of the utmost importance.
The staff are not only highly professional but also incredibly caring and gentle with all the residents. They go above and beyond to ensure that each individual feels safe, comfortable and valued. The level of attentiveness and kindness displayed by the staff is wonderful.
The amenities and activities provided are exceptional. From exercise programs to social events, residents are offered a range of engaging and stimulating activities. The commitment to promoting mental and physical well-being is truly commendable.

Knowing that Mum is being looked after by such a professional, caring team gives me peace of mind. I am grateful for the outstanding care provided by Middlefields House and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a loving and supportive environment for their loved ones.

Very caring, homely feel. Every member of staff is so kind, caring and helpful to dad and all the family. The home has a unique layout of four houses of twelve residents so it doesn't feel institutional or like a hospital. We can't thank or recommend the team at Middlefield House enough.

This is a lovely new care home. It has been very thoughtfully planned. The family member's rooms are nice and roomy with a wet room. All the furnishings look great. The garden is very well laid out and ideal for a wheelchair.

Very grateful my husband can be looked after in such a bright, light, clean home. Staff are very welcoming, cheerful, caring and safety conscious. He loves the Christian presence, the services, devotions and opportunities for worship. He likes the food and the fresh air in the garden.
The COVID restrictions were stressful for me as a visiting relative, but now I am allowed to join in which is a great improvement.

He particularly enjoys the Men’s Discussion Group, and the company of the other men. Christmas and jubilee celebrations were excellent. Thank you all.

My father has been in Middlefields for 8 months now. It was a challenging transition when he moved from home where my mother was unable to continue caring for him. The staff have helped hugely with the transition and he is now settled and very comfortable at Middlefields. The staff from management to the reception team and carers are very helpful, thoughtful and supportive. There were initial challenges with the covid restrictions but these have been managed well and we were kept informed throughout.
My father particularly appreciates the Christian support and input.

Overall it is a wonderful, welcoming and friendly care home.

My mum has fairly advanced Alzheimer's and had to move into Middlefields in February 2022 when my dad was no longer able to care for her, supported by my brother and I who live at a distance. The change was very hard for Mum and ultimately led to a very stressful few months juggling COVID-related issues, health changes, distressing pacing, aggression and more. The staff were wonderful, very patient, seeking advice and making adjustments to Mum's care when things didn't work. We have seen genuine love from the staff to my mum and we are convinced Mum is in safe hands. I heartily recommend Middlesfields, particularly for Christian residents.
