View Full Details of Manor HouseI would not hesitate in recommending the Manor House to anyone looked for respite care. The staff go above and beyond in their care. They treat everyone with courtesy and respect. They greet all visitors with a smile. They have taken all the worry of leaving my husband and I know he is happy and well cared for. I can't thank each and everyone of the staff.
I visited the Manor for my relative's birthday celebrations. They were held in the conservatory, which had been decorated for the occasion. Fresh food and drinks were laid on and we were looked after very well. Our relative was happy with the family gathering and seemed to enjoy our company and the food too. There was a nice ambience about the afternoon and I'm very grateful to all the staff who helped with this.
Staff at The Manor House went over and above to make my aunt's 90th birthday a special occasion. My aunt is also looked after very well every day of the week. I would recommend this home to others.
Dad has been looked after really well. Cannot praise staff enough. Dad is well-fed and has options outside set menu, which he appreciates.
My Father has been a resident of the home for almost 5 months now. In this time the care, attention and respect he's been shown by staff has in my opinion been wonderful. I found all the staff I have had contact with to be genuine, caring and always upbeat. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they'll always take time out to answer any questions regarding my Dad. I'd like to especially thank the excellent events co-oordinator and her daughter who always go the extra mile in providing activities, games and most importantly fun for my Dad and the other residents. Overall I am really impressed by the home and how my Dad's care is managed. It gives me valuable peace of mind to know that my Dad is receiving the care and support he needs 24/7.
The manager and her team are amazing, they are really supportive. Hard decision of putting my Nan in care home for respite and even though taking her from her home I knew we made the right decision with manor. She walks 100% better than when she was admitted and the care staff and all staff were so kind and generous Would definitely recommended Manor House
Moving a loved one to a care home is probably the hardest decision to have to make, & even more so, finding the best place for them. From our initial dealings with Manor House to now, four weeks after mum moved in, we have been very happy with how the move has gone. Mum is as settled as she can be, given her dementia. The staff in the care home are absolutely wonderful. Every member of staff have shown such wonderful care for my mum, & have taken time to know her as an individual, which is so important. Management staff are visible, have good relationships with the residents, and the door to their office is always open. The activities organised for the residents are fun, plentiful and keep everyone engaged and involved. The activity coordinator is fun, enthusiastic and committed, and I can see the benefit that my mum gets from taking part. The food is great too. The staff have been so supportive of us as a family at the hardest time. We are very thankful we found Manor House for mum.
Cannot find any fault with the facilities or staff. The staff are always very friendly and pleasant. The residents always seem very happy and well cared for.
My mom, who has vascular dementia and is prone to falls, has been at the Manor House Care Home for 8 weeks now and will be a permanent resident here, she has settled in well and considering these 8 weeks were over Christmas and included a planed hospital admission for cataract I am surprised at how quickly this has happened. I put this down to the care staff and the accommodation who have taken their time to get to know my mom and what she likes. I was able to personalise her room with photos, memorabilia and small pieces of furniture from her flat so she felt safe and comfortable, I also believe this helps those with dementia as their health can fluctuate greatly if these are not in place. The safe also supports me with organising a new GP and accessing her health care needs from a different location as Mom came from outside of the Birmingham area. If you are looking for a friendly care home with lovely staff you will not be disappointed.
In the last months, Mum has had a good experience so far at Manor House. I have seen a change in Mum's ability to move her arm up and down due to a great active team. Manor House team are very helpful and supportive towards Mum and family. Asked for an afternoon tea for Mum to catch up with her sister, they had not seen each other for four years. Chef and team prepared a lovely afternoon tea. Keep up the good work Manor House team.
My father has settled in really well at Manor House. He is happy, feels safe, and put on weight. It has a warm and friendly feel and the rooms are spacious, modern, and clean. The staff are wonderful and treat all residents with respect and dignity. The entertainment coordinator is wonderful and works really hard to make sure residents are engaged and happy. The management team are also fantastic and any concerns or requests are dealt with swiftly. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home.
Manor House is absolutely amazing. From the moment I set foot in the home to view it for my Dad I felt it was the right place for him. Sadly he was only there for 5 weeks before he passed away unexpectedly but the care Dad received was excellent. I cannot praise the staff high enough - absolutely everybody - nothing is too much trouble for them. Dad had a lovely large room overlooking the garden with an en-suite wet room. There was a sink and work surface where visitors could make hot drinks if they wished to. There was also a fridge in the room. The staff all work extremely hard and there's lots of different activities every day for the residents to join in. The meals are amazing, I have never seen so much food served all day every day. The residents are certainly never hungry and all the food is fresh and cooked on-site, with plenty of variation. Manor House is a really happy place, and it's been a pleasure visiting my Dad there. He loved it, as did I. Thank you for everything.
My mom has settled in well at Manor House and seems content. The staff are very caring and helpful. Nothing seems too much trouble for them. There are plenty of activities for the residents to join in if they wish. I would recommend this care home to anyone.
Extremely bright, clean and caring place. Staff put up with a lot from my wife, whose dementia could at times be challenging. They were all very supportive of her and me. Many thanks for their work.
My wife was assigned a very nice room with en suite wet room. All the staff were very pleasant, attentive and professional. No matter what they were assigned to, they all took an interest in each of the residents. The food was very good with varied choices each day. There was plenty of things going on to stimulate residents if they wanted to be involved. I would highly recommend Manor House to anyone.
My mother has been in Manor House now for nearly 2 years and it's the best thing that happened to her. The staff are brilliant, so caring and all my mom does is smile, so I know she is happy here and looked after.
Manor House was my father’s happy home for around 22 months. In just three weeks of moving to Manor House, my Dad was making friends and enjoying his new surroundings. He started to put on some much-needed weight and got involved with daily activities and games. The wonderful family at Manor House gave him his best birthday ever when he reached 101, and he thoroughly enjoyed the whole day celebrating. My father passed away in November 2023 and right to the end he was so truly loved with care and kindness. Manor House is an outstanding nursing home and I’m so pleased that my Dad was surrounded with love in a wonderful safe caring environment.
My mother spent the last seven months of her life at Manor House when she could no longer live an independent life in her residential village. The time she spent at Manor House, though short, allowed her to relax and shed the anxiety she had been experiencing in previous months. She regained calm and peace because of the expert and kind attention she received from all the staff and the friendliness of the residents who took her into their community with love and affection. The environment at Manor House is welcoming and warm due in no small part to the quiet efficiency and competence of the manager and administrator. Residents are cared for with great tenderness, respect, and gentle encouragement to share in the many activities Manor House puts on throughout the week to foster companionship among them. It is a happy place.
My experience with Manor House is one of total caring and dignity, with my dear uncle and the communication they constantly updated me with, in regards to his care, right up until the end. They had many activities for residence to take part in and made you feel part of there wider family. I always was made welcome on entering this beautiful home.
The family are very impressed with the standard of care and the facilities provided at Manor House. We always feel welcome and comfortable on our regular visits. Nothing is too much trouble for any of the team members and all of them are very accommodating. We are always kept up to date with any developments at the home and actively encouraged to be involved in the care plan for my mother-in-law. Any concerns that are raised are dealt with efficiently and effectively without delay. When we leave at the end of our visits we know our loved one is in very safe and above all caring hands.
