My mom was in Austin Rose care home for nearly 6 years and we couldn't fault the love, care and respect that she and us as her family were shown during this time. They even accommodated mom's very fussy eating. All the staff from reception, nurses ,the activities team and the carers were
professional and went above and beyond for us and mom. As a family we shall continue to support them wherever we can now that mom has passed. Her passing was very peaceful, respectful and second to none. All our family recommend this home if your looking for somewhere to look after your loved one, whether it be temporary or during their final years.

I moved my mum into Austin Rose just over a week ago. She had a few bumpy days getting used to leaving her home of 30 years, to moving here and having everything done for her.
I'm so pleased with the level of professionalism and kindness the staff show towards my mum. I've been guilt ridden
thinking about moving her, but after seeing how she's looked after, I knew it was the right decision.
The Manager has been my point of call and has been amazing with my mum. Thank you x

The staff at Austin Rose are genuinely kind and caring, and they always make both residents and families feel welcome and supported. The environment is warm and well-managed, and the management team are always helpful and attentive.
It gives me real peace of mind knowing my mum is in such good
hands!

I think it's extremely bad practice to leave residents in a lot of pain sitting in there chair for over an hour when your told they will get her back into bed in 15 minutes. This happens on a regular basis and makes it hard for her to want to get in the chair in the first place, which she must do to
help any recovery. I also think they don't encourage her to eat or especially drink. With brain injury she forgets most things especially drinking. The staff are friendly and probably doing there best but if there's not enough to carry out basic care then it's extremely poor.

Firstly , may I say how appreciative I am of the care , friendliness of every member of staff at Austin Rose
When first arriving , I was very happy to see that Margaret's room was very spacious , extremely clean and the fact that it was Margaret's birthday , the staff had decorated her room with
balloons and Happy Birthday favours , which was a lovely welcoming gesture , which was very thoughtful .
In view of it being a respite stay I only visited twice . , but on the second visit Mag was bright and cheerful , which was heartening .
I know she enjoyed the food and was very comfortable there .
I would like to offer my thanks to the staff who, were very attentive and so polite
I'd like to give my personal thanks to Nafreeza, Mandi( it could be Marci the house manager) , Aimee and Nelson
Thank you and God Bless -

From our first visit we were impressed with the friendly atmosphere.
Although our friend , suffering from dementia, has only been a resident for a short time she seems to have settled in quite quickly.

My uncle has been a resident here following his discharge from hospital after unfortunately gaining a traumatic brain injury from a freak accident. The care staff are great, and Mark in particular has been fab with my uncle, treating him with kindness and respect, whilst also having a laugh with
him. We had quite a wait for a specialist chair to be ordered, however that has now arrived and my uncle is now able to get out of his bed, which is a huge relief for us as a family. The nursing team are also great, in particular Raymond who always goes above and beyond to explain things to us when we need it, this is always appreciated.
The activities team are also a great bunch, and now my uncle has his new chair it would be lovely to see him get more involved in the activities within the home. My uncles life has changed massively, but it is great to see him included in the many different activities available throughout the week.

My father, who is bedbound with cancer, Parkinson's, and mild dementia, stayed at Austin Rose for nearly three weeks while my sister, his full-time carer, took a break. The staff were consistently pleasant, attentive, and genuinely caring. His room was clean, practical, and had a nice view - a
comforting environment for someone in his condition. He ate well and never complained about the food, which says a lot. The 24-hour care was a huge reassurance for us. Most telling of all, he's asked to return permanently, which we're now arranging. We're truly grateful for the care he received.

Care and compassion was shown by all staff to myself and my mother throughout her stay at Austin Rose. I would highly recommend Austin Rose to anyone looking for care for themselves or a loved one. I honestly couldn't have wished for a nicer place for my mother stay at for the end of her life. All
staff treated my mother with dignity and provided such excellent care to her even after she passed away. Nothing was too much trouble and they made such a difficult time a little bit easier to cope with.

A Truly Exceptional Care Home - Austin Rose
My beloved uncle recently passed away after spending his final weeks at Austin Rose, and I can honestly say the care he received was nothing short of phenomenal.
From the moment he arrived, we felt completely reassured by the warmth, compassion, and
professionalism of every single member of staff. Their dedication to his dignity, comfort, and well-being was evident every day. Not only did they care for him, but they supported us as a family - always kind, always patient, and always going above and beyond.
Even though it's only been five weeks, I truly miss visiting and seeing the wonderful team who felt like an extension of our family.
If you are looking for somewhere safe, compassionate and deeply caring for your loved one, I can recommend Austin Rose with complete confidence. They gave my uncle the gift of peace and dignity in his final chapter, and for that we will always be grateful as a family.

My mum, was admitted nearly 4 years ago straight from hospital to Austin Rose. She was in quite a poorly state, her dementia had worsened and she was then not able to walk, and incontinent ; something that was not the case a few months earlier. Staff at Austin Rose cared for her and helped her
regain a lot of her strength and weight.
Mum went through many stages while she she was in the home and at each point staff adapted to her needs and problems. Staff were so caring and understanding as her needs became more complex, and nothing was too much trouble.
A few months before she died Mum told me that her tiger ( her constant companion ) really liked it at the home and so did she.
Her care in her last stages was exemplary and the staff nurse and the supervisor of the carers. kept me fully informed and I had the great privilege of being with mum when she passed away.
I can't thank the staff for their love, care and understanding. The whole experience was that of being part of a " loving family."

My Dad had been a resident of Austin Rose for over 6 years, until he sadly died last week.. He was very happy there from the start. He was bedridden, but, encouraged by staff, he soon started taking an active role, particularly where the musical entertainment was concerned.
His personal needs
were dealt with with respect and understanding, and he had great relationships with many of the staff, even the young ones. He enjoyed his food so the efforts of the kitchen staff were much appreciated. On occasions when he was poorly, the Nursing staff and Home's GP gave excellent support and kept me informed and, nearer the end, his wishes regarding end of life care were fully respected.
The care staff, at every level, were so kind and supportive to him, and indeed to myself especially during his final days, as were the nurses.
The Home has a lovely, caring atmosphere, and I often witnessed the individual support offered to those new or nervous residents. It became my Dad's happy home.

My mother received the best care possible! The staff were friendly, polite, efficient and willing to accommodate any requests.
The room with a large TV made a huge difference as she couldn't see a small screen. We hooked it up to the church's which was a comfort for her. We were welcome to visit
and stay as often as we wished. At the end of her life, her body was washed, presented in peace, and we were not rushed.

From the moment Dad and I first set foot in Austin Rose, we knew it was the perfect place for Mum to be cared for.
Whilst Mum's stay was sadly just over 3 weeks, this was more than enough time to see how the superb staff went about their work. The compassion shown to Mum, and indeed to me and Dad,
was first rate.
We have been left with treasured memories of an event which took place one Saturday afternoon. An entertainer of West End repute who sang and danced, and involved the residents wonderfully. The joy on Mum's face, and her enjoyment of that afternoon, was something we simply couldn't have made happen for her ourselves.
There are far too many lovely people to mention, but we must say a huge thank you to one lady, who formed a special bond with Mum. She is someone who just *knows* how to connect with people, and is such a credit to Austin Rose.
