View Full Details of The KnowlesSince my mum has come here, she has been treated with nothing but respect. The care she has received has been outstanding. The staff are always friendly and welcoming when I come to visit too. Really happy!
Since I have been here the staff have been caring and polite. I have had no issues want hope to stay here beyond my respite.
My mum just recently had a month's respite at the Knowles care home. We were very impressed. The staff were all so lovely from the office staff, to the cleaners, cook, carers. They were very respectful to my mum. They are all professional and caring and really made us feel happy about the difficult decision for her to go into respite. The rooms were lovely and so clean. The staff were very attentive and friendly. A special thank you to the carer who looked after mum and really did go the extra mile. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this care home and if mum ever needed respite again we would ask for it here knowing how well she was looked after. A special thank you to the Knowles.
I have a dear friend who lives in this care home, and I couldn't be happier with the care they receive. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely compassionate. It's clear they go above and beyond to make sure every resident feels valued and well looked after. What has impressed me just as much is the significant investment made into the environment. The home is not only clean and comfortable, but thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming and uplifting. The improvements to the living spaces and communal areas have really enhanced the overall atmosphere. It gives me so much peace of mind to know my friend is in a place where their wellbeing is a true priority. Thank you to the team for all the hard work and care you provide-it really makes a difference.
I couldn't be more pleased with the care and environment at The Knowles. My Grandas has settled in so well, and it's been such a relief to see him not only comfortable but genuinely thriving. The transformation in his mood and overall wellbeing since moving in has been incredible. The staff here are amazing-compassionate, professional, and always willing to go the extra mile. It's clear they care deeply about each resident, and that gives me real peace of mind. Knowing my loved one is in such capable and caring hands means everything. The home itself is outstanding. From the warmth of the environment to the thoughtful touches in every detail, it's a place that truly feels like home. I'm so grateful to have found somewhere that provides not just care, but genuine quality of life. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a place where their loved one will be safe, supported, and happy. 10/10
My elderly friend came to The Knowles for a period of assessment following a week in hospital. Initially he was very anxious as he wanted to go home. On admission he was immediately made to feel extremely welcome and staff went to great lengths to put him at ease. With kindness and care he soon settled. When I have visited he seems content and looks well. The staff are wonderful and nothing seems too much trouble. They are amiable but professional. My friend thinks they are marvellous too and it's lovely to see their interactions with him. They find ways of lifting his spirits and it is nice to see some of my friend's pleasant cheekiness return. Thanks to staff at The Knowles he has lost a lot of his apprehension about what his future care might look like.
Very attentive staff who deal with residents wiith compassion and care with some reosdents with extemely challengig behaviours.. I have visted some 50 times since my mother moved in 15 momths ago ( age 90) after a fall at home. She seems comfortable.. Although the staff are predominately from abroad they all work welll together and give the residents all the support they beed both mentally and physically.and i have no issies. Medically or physically
The staff looked after my mother with care and kindness. It was initially unsettling for her but she told me she felt safe there and she was treated well. The staff do an amazing job in trying circumstances. They always kept me informed of anything that occurred regarding her health and rang me whenever my mum wanted to talk to me.
We were horrified by what we found at this 'care home'. Our mum arrived from hospital late afternoon and we visited that evening. The smell on the lower floor was awful. At the age of 90 she was placed on the second floor although she is no longer able to manage stairs. She was unable to manage the security code for the lift. The home is shabby and not well maintained. Sheets were stained and of poor quality. After a sleepless night we removed her first thing on the next day. She was In the same clothing as the previous day and appeared unkemp. Staff initially did not know where she was. We found her in a communal room in the same chair she had been in the previous night. The tv was the only activity and staff all appeared to be 'busy' but not engaged with residents. This place is terrible and it's rating of requires improvement seems unjust it is at least inadequate which would be generous.
I just wanted to say a big thank you to Knowles Care Home for looking after Mum after her stay in hospital. All of the staff are lovely and kind to Mum, they give her lots of love and support. A special thank you to one staff member in particular, Mum adores her. Also a big thank you to three other specific staff members, can't thank you all enough, you are all an asset to the caring profession.
The Knowles is a warm, caring place to live. The staff are very kind, loving and attentive to the needs of the residents. Some of the residents are very challenging and the staff are working extremely hard attending to their various needs. The home is clean and the rooms despite their age are neat and tidy.
My friend has been here for a couple of weeks. The staff are friendly and helpful. The home is clean with lots to do.
The staff are very helpful, kind and caring. The home offers lots of activities and my friend is always happy and the staff have a laugh with her.
Mum arrived here after 2 weeks of convalescence, she was unhappy and not well. After only a few days here she is a different person, back to her old self. She can't praise the staff enough. She is happy, well fed and looked after. Thank you.
I liked the home after being shown around by the manager. Safety was paramount as my mother walked around at night. I liked the fact she couldn't get up and down the stairs. The care is very good and all the carers have a positive outlook. My mother has settled in very well and seems content.
Went to see my friend and had questions about how she had been since I was not able to see her for a few weeks. All the staff, including the manager, took the time to explain properly. I am now confident and feel more at ease knowing that my friend is being supported and being taken care of regarding all her physical, financial and well-being.
My uncle always looks really happy when I visit. The staff are so kind and are always so happy to assist with anything needed. Staff have recently supported him with shopping and it is really heartwarming to see. He always has the footy on and I'm sure that's where he loves most! Overall my uncle is more than happy to call The Knowles home and I am too.
Lovely welcome on reception. Made to feel at home immediately, made like a welcome to a family home.
Good care, senior carer was very good and friendly. Atmosphere is ok and it is overall ok.
My stepfather is very happy to be staying at The Knowles and would dearly love to stay here after his assessment. We hope he can as this is my stepfather's 'happy place'.
