View Full Details of The LeysMum moved to The Leys in November 2024. After viewing beforehand with my mum, we knew she would like it. Mum has a lovely room overlooking the extensive gardens which she enjoys. Mum is very happy at The Leys. The staff are very caring and attentive. She says that the staff work very hard to make The Leys a welcoming, caring and safe home for everyone. Mum says the food is very good and well prepared. She also likes the activities, especially the music events. The home is in the countryside but also accessible which makes visiting easy. The owners are very helpful and care about the residents. If there is a query, they are amenable and easy to contact. I would recommend The Leys as I know my mum is safe and happy.
My mom moved into the home in December 2024. The staff were really caring and supportive to me and my mom. My mom settled in very quickly. The staff are excellent, they treat my mom with dignity and respect, they always contact me if there is any concerns about my mom. The meals are lovely, the home is lovely like home from home. My mom enjoys all the activities they provide. I am at rest knowing my mom is safe and cared for extremely well.
My 100 year old aunt started living at The Leys in November 2024. Both she and I are extremely happy with her care. The care home is located in the countryside and has grounds of two acres. My aunt has a lovely room over looking the garden, which gives her great pleasure. The staff are all very kind, caring and efficient. The situation is very safe and the home is always clean and tidy. The residents are all happy and they have lots of activities. The food looks lovely and my aunt says it's very good.
Dad has been at The Leys for 5 months. During this time the staff have supported him to settle in extremely well. The home is small and feels more like home from home with the staff as family members. I too feel really well supported by the staff. I feel I can talk to them about Dad and his needs, and that they are always willing to listen. I am very happy with The Leys and would highly recommend the home.
Mom has been here for a number of years and is treated like family. She is so well looked after and the team go out of their way to spend time with her to understand her needs. She can have her 'moments' but they are so understanding and work everyday to make things better for her.. The food always looks lovely when we visit but more than anything, when I look at the other resident's they are always laughing and seem really happy too. They do so much with them that seems to build a great community and this seems to work really well. It is not an exaggeration to say we would be lost without them
The staff are very supportive to my mom, they are all very helpful and kind. I would recommend The Leys to other people if these needs are required. The Leys is a very happy and homely place to be.
It's very good, the food is quite good, the staff are always caring and look after you, my room's very convenient having as much room as I require and toilet and bathing facilities close by, always fresh and clean. The conservatory is really nice, with room for my walker, and I enjoy watching the door, who come now and again, and the lively squirrels and birds. Visitors are made welcome.
I have found The Leys to be a welcoming, positive environment for my mother. There are high levels of cleanliness and little touches like fresh flowers on tables make such a difference. The staff are kind, courteous and cheerful, my mother has visibly relaxed, has started smiling and laughing. All the staff are good but I would like mention, in particular the deputy care manager who is a real asset. Patient, caring, kind and a great sense of humour. Thank you The Leys.
My dad has been a resident at The Leys for 10 years in June. Couldn't have found a better care home for him. The care and attention from the staff is excellent. It is kept so clean and food always looks very appetising. It is a true home-from-home with a lovely atmosphere and all the residents seem to get on so well. Would recommend this home to anyone.
My dad arrived at The Leys in June 2022 and from the moment he stepped through the door, he was welcomed. The staff have gone above and beyond to make him feel at home. We have always felt that he was really comfortable. Sadly, Dad has now passed away and I will miss seeing the staff as they are all lovely. Thank you The Leys for making Dad's final years a pleasure.
I have been visiting the Leys for a number of years now and find the staff both friendly and caring with attention to resident's needs.
My grandmother spent nearly a decade at this exceptional care home, and it's impossible to express the depth of gratitude our family feels for the extraordinary care and love she received during her time there. The staff went above and beyond in every aspect of her care, providing not just personal care, but genuine warmth and companionship that brightened her days. Their commitment to her wellbeing undoubtedly prolonged her life and, more importantly, enriched it immeasurably. The team was not just professional but compassionate, treating her like family and ensuring she felt comfortable and cherished every single day. She was nearly 104 when she passed away and I am certain that she would not have reached this age in any other setting. We will forever be grateful for the immense love and dedication shown to my grandmother and would recommend The Leys for anyone looking for a care home for themselves or a relative.
Mom always appears to be well looked after, staff are always kind to her and attentive a well-run home and the staff always welcoming and friendly.
This small and friendly home is everything I wanted for my mom and more! Every resident is part of "the family" and is treated as such. Each member of staff, from carers to housekeepers to management is kind, compassionate and loving. They are happy to give Mom the affection she craves and cope with the more challenging aspects of her behaviour with patience and consideration. Nothing is too much trouble. I could not recommend The Leys more highly, and its lovely building and fabulous gardens only add to the whole package. My mom tells me on every visit how happy she is, and her smile only goes to confirm this. Thank you.
My father has been at the Leys for 20 months. The staff are excellent, and my father is treated with dignity. He has a good quality of life as he approaches his later days, and I would recommend this care home.
My mother has been here for two years now. The care she receives honestly is the best I have ever seen and my father was in a home too. They are kind, and patient and the residents get to experience so much interaction with each other and the team. My mother can be challenging at times bless her yet she calls them all darling. They genuinely care about all their residents and put their needs first. The Manager leads a wonderful team by example with her Deputy. I am humbled by their empathy and kindness. The final bonus is the delicious food they receive. Every time I leave I know mom is in the best place with people who truly care for her.
The Leys Care Home have provided the best possible care and support for my 96-year-old mother. The managers and staff are all excellent, the meals are well-balanced and enjoyable. They provide a variety of activities for the residents to take part in, which affords some physical and mental stimulation on a group and individual basis. The grounds are well looked after and offer the opportunity to sit outside to enjoy the fresh air and local wildlife. However, the inside is looking a little tired and dated and would benefit from redecoration/refurbishment.
My mum has dementia and moved to The Leys as she was no longer able to live at home by herself. All of the team there are so caring and passionate, creating a home from home environment. The care and support provided for my mum is excellent, despite her illness she is always smiling and happy. It is a huge relief for me to know my mum is being so well cared for.
My mother has been at The Leys now for a couple of years and the care that she is being given is second to none. She has vascular dementia and the staff are amazing with her. I cannot fault this home and the care that my mother is receiving.
This home is what it says on the tin as such it is the home for my mom. The only difference is she has a bunch of angels looking after and caring for her. Thank you, The Leys team.
