I recently visited a dear friend in Davlyn House, and I was genuinely moved by the warmth, kindness, and care shown by every member of staff! From the moment you walk in, it doesn't feel like some of the other care homes I have visited- it feels like a true home, full of comfort, dignity, and
genuine compassion.
The staff go far beyond simply meeting needs; they give their time, patience, and hearts to the residents! It's so clear that the people living there are not just cared for, but truly cherished and loved as individuals. The respect, laughter, and tenderness I have witnessed were all so beautiful to see.
I have even witnessed the activities the residents partake in and they're fantastic!
Knowing my friend is surrounded by such dedicated and wonderful people brings enormous comfort! This home is a credit to everyone who works there, and the care they provide is something very special indeed!

I came into your wonderful care home and I absolutely enjoyed every moment of being in there both staff and the residents are absolutely wonderful I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone I would like to thank them for having me in there and I would definitely love to go again

The care provided at Davlyn House is second to none, my mum spent the last 4 years of her life there, moving in just before the start of the pandemic. From the beginning the staff could not do enough for her, they helped us stay in contact by setting up video call sessions, keeping in regular phone
contact with us to let us know how she was etc. Mum was always encouraged to take part in the many activities provided and even took part in pampering sessions where she had a facial and her nails done! When mum was at the end of her life the care she received was amazing, staff maintained her dignity at all times and were so compassionate towards me and my family , cannot recommend this place highly enough

Staff are amazing, they are always welcoming and go above and beyond for all of the residents. The quality of care is exceptional. There is always something going on - activities, parties, crafts etc - everyone is treated like family.

I can't say enough good things about this lovely care home. From the moment you walk through the doors, you're met with warmth, kindness, and a genuine sense of care. The staff are not only professional and attentive but also incredibly compassionate-they truly go the extra mile to make residents
feel at home.
The environment is clean, bright, and welcoming, with thoughtful touches that make it feel more like a home than a facility. Activities are varied and engaging, helping residents stay active and connected, and the meals are nutritious and well-prepared.
Most importantly, there's a strong sense of community here. The team treats residents with dignity and respect, and it's clear that relationships are built on trust and genuine affection. Families are kept well-informed and involved, which brings great peace of mind.

Great quality of care and consideration for the dignity of the residents. Kind and knowledgeable staff members make a difficult time more manageable. The care manager and other staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for and given dignity. Highly recommend.

I found the staff to be caring and very professional........they treated the patients with patience and dignity.....the overall atmosphere was great......the rooms..the toilets..bathing and kitchen are very clean and tidy.

Davlyn house is one of the most well run homes around here.
The care and attention that the carers and team give to the Residents is 10 out of 10.
It's a truly warm,happy enviroment, lots of great entertainment, lovely and clean, great food and Happy residents.

Davlyn House has been a wonderful help with their friendly staff and excellent care. It is well organised and very clean, they also go above and beyond to meet your needs/requirements. There are plenty of activities which are well-structured and catered to everyone. Couldn't recommend enough.

My dad moved into Davlyn House a few months ago and he loves it. He says he is treated like the king. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff who are caring for him. It's a lovely friendly and caring home.

Mum is being cared for wonderfully in Davlyn House. She is safe and content with her lot. Having had a couple of falls, the staff notified us immediately and it is such a relief knowing that there was someone on hand immediately, a stark contrast to the situation when she fell in her own home. I am
fully aware that Mum can be difficult but the staff are unfailingly cheerful and encouraging. I hope that she can be persuaded to mix more but she is conscious of her lack of mobility and failing eyesight. A special word for the care manager who has done everything to make sure Mum is content and is always positive about her future and ongoing care.

My mum made Davlyn House her home recently and is settling in well. All the staff are very attentive and caring. Mum loves the music-related singing and dancing activities, earning herself the title of dancing queen. Thanks to all at Davlyn House.

Mum stayed in Davlyn House for respite from December 2022. It was chosen for being small and very cosy. The manager is extremely caring and compassionate. As Mum's dementia became worse, she adapted the bedroom and her care plan to suit Mum's growing needs. The carers worked very hard to give her
daily personal care and were always on hand to help out with any problems.

My mother-in-law initially stayed at the home for respite care but once a place became available she was more than happy to become a full-time resident. In all this time she has been well looked after and the staff spend time encouraging her to become involved in all the home activities which I
understand are numerous. All her needs are well catered for and the home always keeps me informed of any issues which occur during the time I am not able to visit. I can highly recommend Davlyn House and the staff.

The staff at Davlyn House consistently show patience, compassion and respect, and I feel extremely confident and reassured that my mother's needs are being met. My mother moved into the home earlier this year, and the staff could not have done more to help her settle. They've made a genuine effort
to find out about her life and what she likes/dislikes, and they always keep the family updated (including photos and videos). The running of the home, by the manager and office staff (including the head office) is also very efficient and professional - they are clearly very experienced and dedicated in their roles.
Davlyn House offers organised activities/events for the residents to experience too if they wish to participate, e.g. singing, exercise, music entertainment, crafts, and panto, to name a few. This clean, warm and welcoming home also has a pleasant outdoor area, offers excellent food and some of the bedrooms have a lovely view of the fields/horses. I would highly recommend Davlyn House.

Attended Christmas party on Saturday 9th December. Staff worked extremely hard ensuring that both myself and mum were well looked after.
Food was excellent. With a good range of sandwiches, side dishes, quiches, salad and deserts, it could not be faulted and a credit to staff who had obviously
worked extremely hard in producing such a delicious buffet.
A present from Santa for all residents and a selection box for all children, was a lovely touch. A big thank you to all staff and management for all you hard work.
