View Full Details of SpratsladeAs a family a care home was last resort for my grandfather as we really wanted to avoid it, my only regret is that we didn't find this home sooner! He is the happiest we've ever seen him, and every time we visit we leave with a big smile on our faces! The staff are absolutely amazing & the care home just feels like one big family
Mum has been at Spratslade House since February. My sister and I liked the feel from our first visit. The staff are all warm and friendly, and the care is second to none. Mum has settled well, and although it's an old building, so not perfectly laid out, it's always clean and tidy. The activities are well thought out, and very inclusive. The food is good, and plentiful. It has been a relief to know Mum is safe and happy, and she loves the carers. If she can't live at home, this is definitely the next best thing.
When my dad came to the home he had previously spent 10 weeks in hospital, he was underweight, withdrawn and hardly able to stand let alone walk, with the care and patience of this amazing home and its staff my dad has regained his life, he laughs, he walks, he gets up to mischief and has built not only in strength but in his personality, this isn't just a care home it's a home that is always full of laughter. It's comfortable for the residents as well as their family, it's an amazing place and I feel we made the perfect choice for our loved one.. thank you to you all from the bottom of our hearts x
In my life I have visited many care homes with other relatives and I can safely say this is the best one I've ever been too, I can go home knowing that my relative is happy and well cared for and it's so reassuring and gives me so much peace of mind. Keep up the good work your all amazing
The staff have been great after my mother had a short hospital stay. All staff measures were put in place to ensure her safety, her room was changed to accommodate a suitable bed.
My Mum has been a resident for well over a year now and I can't fault the care she receives. I love the fact that I'm able to discuss her care plan and am always informed of any changes. It's nice to feel included but it's even nicer to know that I no longer need to worry because all her needs are being met. She has a lovely room which is personalized with some of her own possessions and bits of furniture. It was lovely to be included in the choices for decor. I can't thank the manager enough! The menu is excellent and the food is very tasty. There are regular activities and entertainment which my Mum loves. She gets her hair done once a week and her nails. These are things that were always important to her and she loves a pamper so thank you on her behalf. I did a lot of research before choosing Spratslade and I am not disappointed with my choice. The manager and all the staff are wonderful, friendly and approachable. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you.
My mother was admitted to Spratslade Hoyse on 18/10/2022 after being in the hospital. She is 105 years old, and right away, she was made welcome. It took a while to settle in, but now she absolutely loves it. The staff are really lovely and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Always cheerful. When visiting, they meet you at the door, always know your name and who you are visiting, escort you to where my mother is and asks if you want a drink. Could not be more helpful.
My husband's carefully looked after. The staff are fantastic. The food is wonderful. The staff are so caring and go the extra mile. Management is excellent. I would definitely recommend this care home.
My dad receives the best care possible. The carers couldn't do any more for him, they are very supportive to our family too. Dad is well fed, well looked after and the carers are worth their weight in gold, they really should be paid more for the jobs that they do.
The home is cosy and very clean. The resident's rooms are comfortable and private. The furniture and decoration is very good. The lounge area and dining room is clean and spacious. The staff are very good and helpful, and the food is variable. Acitvities are conducted on a regular basis. The care and support are treated with dignity at all times. Safety/securty is excellent. The management are helpful and run the home with care.

My opinion is my mum gets first-class care. We have recently lost my youngest brother, Mum's son, and the staff when we broke the news has been beyond praise. They all show such care and compassion at all times. We, as a family, are more than happy. Had a few hiccups along the way, but all were dealt with very professionally and confidently.
Mum loves the friendly staff, as they are really helpful. Also, she enjoys her food here.
My father has been in Spratslade since May 2021. He absolutely loves it. All staff are caring and friendly and show my dad respect in all aspects of his care. They are like family members. Activities are varied. The management keeps us informed of any needs dad may have.
Mum has been a resident at Spratslade for over three years. Before this, she was in sheltered accommodation and was struggling to cope. The home has been a lifeline for her, and we've seen her confidence increase immensely. She now feels safe and is cared for regarding both medical and hygiene needs and also feels part of a friendly community. All in all, we have seen Mum rally and is enjoying life again since going into the home.
Ok.
The staff have always been warm, welcoming and informative. My mother has no complaints. They have taken care of all her needs, particularly medical. Previously, she was at home with carers and did not eat properly or ask them to do anything. Since being at Spratslade, she has put weight back on and looks and appears healthy.
Great care.
Very friendly staff and a warm environment! Nan never has a bad word to say! Always happy and smiling! Not a bad thing to say! Great, family atmosphere!
