Spratslade

Our mum has been a resident since June 2025 and both me and my sister 100% agree that it is definitely the best residential care home that we could have chosen. It is well managed, all the staff are very professional and also very friendly. The home understands our mums needs and are very proactive if she requires any additional care and support. She is treated with dignity, respect and the staff also have some fun with our mum too. The recent garden party was amazing and so many of the staff who were off duty also attended. We are also made very welcome when we visit our mum and we enjoy the time we spend with her at the home because of this. We thank everyone who works there for everything that they do and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a relative who needs to go into care.

My mum has been under the care of Spratslade for a few years as her dementia has progressed. I have nothing but admiration for the care she has had from the amazing team. They are kind, caring, compassionate, so friendly and committed. An amazing place

This is a fabulous home. The team genuinely care about the residents they seem more like family than resident and carer. The home is well run the team are caring, compassionate and show genuine empathy.

They engage the residents in activities to help stimulate them. They keep families updated.

We visit regularly at all times and cannot fault anything.

It's a home from home, nothing is too much trouble. The staff are very friendly. All my mum's care needs are met, and I have never had any cause for concern since my mum has been cared for here. My mum is happy here, so I am happy. I have no concerns or think anything could be done better.

As a family a care home was last resort for my grandfather as we really wanted to avoid it, my only regret is that we didn't find this home sooner! He is the happiest we've ever seen him, and every time we visit we leave with a big smile on our faces! The staff are absolutely amazing & the care home just feels like one big family

It has been a relief to know Mum is safe and happy, and she loves the carers. If she can't live at home, this is definitely the next best thing.

When my dad came to the home he had previously spent 10 weeks in hospital, he was underweight, withdrawn and hardly able to stand let alone walk, with the care and patience of this amazing home and its staff my dad has regained his life, he laughs, he walks, he gets up to mischief and has built not only in strength but in his personality,this isn't just a care home it's a home that is always full of laughter. It's comfortable for the residents as well as their family, it's an amazing place and I feel we made the perfect choice for our loved one.. thank you to you all from the bottom of our hearts x

In my life I have visited many care homes with other relatives and I can safely say this is the best one I've ever been too, I can go home knowing that my relative is happy and well cared for and it's so reassuring and gives me so much peace of mind. Keep up the good work your all amazing

The staff have been great after my mother had a short hospital stay. All staff measures were put in place to ensure her safety, her room was changed to accommodate a suitable bed.

I did a lot of research before choosing Spratslade and I am not disappointed with my choice. The manager and all the staff are wonderful, friendly and approachable. I couldn't ask for more. Thank you.

My mother was admitted to Spratslade Hoyse on 18/10/2022 after being in the hospital. She is 105 years old, and right away, she was made welcome. It took a while to settle in, but now she absolutely loves it. The staff are really lovely and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Always cheerful. When visiting, they meet you at the door, always know your name and who you are visiting, escort you to where my mother is and asks if you want a drink. Could not be more helpful.

My husband's carefully looked after. The staff are fantastic. The food is wonderful. The staff are so caring and go the extra mile. Management is excellent. I would definitely recommend this care home.

My dad receives the best care possible. The carers couldn't do any more for him, they are very supportive to our family too. Dad is well fed, well looked after and the carers are worth their weight in gold, they really should be paid more for the jobs that they do.

The home is cosy and very clean. The resident's rooms are comfortable and private. The furniture and decoration is very good. The lounge area and dining room is clean and spacious. The staff are very good and helpful, and the food is variable. Acitvities are conducted on a regular basis. The care and support are treated with dignity at all times. Safety/securty is excellent. The management are helpful and run the home with care.

Nan is well looked after at Spratslade house. She loves the food here and the snacks available. Between meals, she is always tucking her chocolate biscuits into her handbag! There are always activities happing and today is a Christmas fayre.

Whenever we visit Mum, everyone is so welcoming. Mum is always happy and well looked after, making the family's lives so much easier and stress-free. We never have to worry as we know Mum is safe and well looked after. Spratslade house is a happy place!

My opinion is my mum gets first-class care. We have recently lost my youngest brother, Mum's son, and the staff when we broke the news has been beyond praise. They all show such care and compassion at all times. We, as a family, are more than happy. Had a few hiccups along the way, but all were dealt with very professionally and confidently.
