Gedling Village Care home is a lovely home, everyone makes you feel so welcome and included in everything the residents do on a daily basis. All the staff are wonderful and go out of there way to look after the residents and familys. the meals are lovely and they cater for all tastes the activities are great they have an assortment of entertainment and trips. I couldn't wish for a better home, for my father.

My dad was only at Holly Bank for 3 weeks he was very well looked after and was getting settled in nicely and the staff were lovely & welcoming unfortunatley onhis last week there he passed away with pneumonia the staff went above & beyond to care for him and make his last days comfortable and pain free it really is a wonderful home.

Treated with Dignity + Respect By All.

Visiting my mother on a very hot day the staff were continually keeping the residents hydrated with cold drinks and fruit. Everyone seemed relaxed and happy. Outside area was welcoming and shaded areas gave a feeling of fresh air. As it is an old building in parts and a hot day there wasn't a good flow of fresh air but windows and doors were open. Plenty of activities keep residents motivated. A great friendly welcoming home.

What an amazing place! All of the staff are very understanding and totally professional in all aspects of mums care. Dementia is a terrible disease and my mums needs are totally understood. Highly recommended.

Following a fall at home, my mother was admitted to the Hampton Wing and will likely be staying for a few weeks while she recovers sufficient strength to move back home. During her stay the staff have been absolutely brilliant, yesterday was mum's 100th Birthday and Gemma and her team made sure it was a memorable day!!!!! The arranged party was just what mum needed, and the singer they hired actually got mum singing and toe tapping!! Can't thank Gemma and her team enough for helping mum through her recovery. Mum feels comfortable and safe at Athorpe, however, her ultimate goal is to return to the home she has lived in for over 70 years.

The activities are varied and it is so lovely how included all the residents are. Although our family member cannot access some activities she is included and loves the musicians

We particularly like the use of the hoist to move my mum to different places during the day so increasing her social contact.

My Mum has just spent 2 weeks in respite care at Beechy Knoll Care Home. From the first general enquiry with Marina the Manager of Beechy Knoll, we were met with kindness, guidance and reassurance that my Mum would have her needs met (she has Alzheimer's), this wàs further confirmed when Mum was assessed at our home prior to being admitted. The home is set in lovely grounds near to local amenities and transport. When I took Mum for her stay, the staff greeted her as though she was a member of their "family", she was given a tour of the home, along with a good Yorkshire brew with biscuits, before being shown to her room, which was beautiful and had everything she would need. During Mum's stay she made friends and was encouraged to join in with games and crafts (something I couldn't get her to do at home!!) it was like a mini holiday for her and a welcoming rest for myself and my husband. The care, food and facilities were excellent and I can't thank the staff enough!!

Sandford has undergone some changes such as rooms and redecorating and doing up the garden This investment has created a lovely atmosphere for the residents staff coped amazingly in the recent heatwave and made sure all residents were comfortable lots of activities and some new ones, Tai Chi and Nail Technician, and Family events already planned, Its lovely to see how settled my Mum is.

We couldn't be happier with the care my nan has received at this care home. She has dementia, and it gives our family great peace of mind knowing she is safe, well looked after, and treated with kindness and respect every day. The staff are absolutely brilliant-always welcoming, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They genuinely care about the residents and are always happy to answer any questions or offer support. The food is lovely, with a good variety of meals, and the rooms are always spotlessly clean and tidy. The home has a warm, caring atmosphere that makes it feel like a real home. We would highly recommend this care home to anyone looking for high-quality care for a loved one. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for everything you do.

Mum has been in Brantley Manor for a year now and is very happy. The staff are always very kind + caring. The food is excellent. Lots of activities to join in with. I know that mum is safe and well cared for.

It's comforting to know my nan is safe and receiving quality care from lovely people.

It would not be possible to find a better home. I am so well cared for and the staff are 100% caring and considerate. I have been here 2 years and not one complaint. I consider myself lucky to be here.

My mum has recently become a full time resident at Athorpe Lodge. I've been utterly impressed by the professionalism and kind nature of all the staff. They genuinely care about my mums well being. The management team were a great help in facilitating the seemingly smooth and effortless transition of moving mum into the home.

The atmosphere is so friendly and welcoming to visitors. Brian is cared for with efficiency, respect and humour. The staff respect his wishes.
