All the staff are friendly, caring and attentive. They know all the residents and their likes/dislikes.
There are lots of varied activities for the residents and the staff join in. It feels like a lovely family environment where the staff work tirelessly for those in their care.
If I have any concerns
re mum, I raise them with staff and they act promptly, providing updates and reassurance.

The Knights Retirement Home

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I do not doubt that my husband is not only alive but thriving thanks to the care and cognitive stimulation he experiences while at The Knights.
The staff show boundless energy and commitment to the residents in their care, developing very close rapport with each person.
I have observed true compassion,
respect and quality of care from all staff members.
It is a joy for me and our extended family to see photos of my husband revelling in the range of activities, thanks to the staff and activities co-ordinator.
My husband was clinically depressed and as his sole carer, my mental and physical health was in a poor state.
Despite pressure from family, health care providers and Adult social care, I was determined to keep my husband comfortable at home until it became impossible. The emergency came along and left us with no alternative.
The Knights has been our salvation. My husband is engaged with life for the first time in nearly 3 years. He laughs, sings and dances; it is a joy to behold.

Brantley has a lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and feels like a family home. the carers are all very friendly and always happy to chat.
The food is lovely with amazing cooks, they do wonderful cakes for birthdays and any other celebration.
This year they invited relatives to have Fathers day
lunch with our dads and it was a wonderful meal.
The manager is always available if you need to chat and is very supportive to the residents and family.
Improvements are being carried out to a high standard and the garden is having a make over.
My parents are very happy to be there and enjoy the entertainment and feel safe and comfortable living at the home.
Can recommend Brantley to anyone looking for a home for their loved ones to live.

Mum has been at Spratslade House since February. My sister and I liked the feel from our first visit. The staff are all warm and friendly, and the care is second to none. Mum has settled well, and although it's an old building, so not perfectly laid out, it's always clean and tidy. The activities are
well thought out, and very inclusive. The food is good, and plentiful.
It has been a relief to know Mum is safe and happy, and she loves the carers. If she can't live at home, this is definitely the next best thing.

I am still coming to terms with the difficult decision to move my partner who has Alzheimer's, into residential care. As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, I knew the local care homes well, but after an extensive search, I chose Hollybank for its exceptional care and facilities. Seven weeks in, I'm blown
away by the kindness and compassion of the staff. The manager ensures each resident has a tailored care plan, and activities coordinator keeps them socially and physically active with regular trips out. He loves it! I can finally breathe a sigh of relief knowing he's in good hands. Hollybank has made a heart-wrenching decision slightly more bearable. I'm so grateful for their care and attention. Five stars isn't enough - I'm truly thankful for this wonderful team.

The staff at Hollybank are kind, caring and helpful. My husband loves being out in nature, so the lovely location helps enormously - we can get out for walks along the prom when I visit. I cannot praise all of the staff at Heatherside enough for the care and attention that they have shown my mum since she moved in earlier this month. My mum made a big move of not only going into care, but also moving areas - all with having extremely limited speech. The staff have all already learnt
how to effectively communicate with mum and I couldn't have asked for a smoother settling in than we have had. Every time I ask her if she's happy, the smile and "ooo yes" tells me everything I need to know. My mum looks lighter and brighter in such a short space of time and knowing how well she's being cared for has truly given me such a sense of relief.

My mum went into Sandford in May 2025 after a short spell in hospital
From the outset the staff and management have been very supportive of mum's needs and also a great support to myself with all the adjustments that have to be made
There is plenty of activities going on although as yet mum hasn't
participated but she is always encouraged by staff and I'm hopeful she will once she is more confident in her surroundings
It is such a relief to be able to leave her knowing that she is being well cared for .

The Laurels have gone beyond excellent to look and care for my 94 year old mother. After living independently to sadly having frequent falls and needed to be cared for, made her quite anxious and 'difficult'. The staff have treated her with compassion and patience whilst trying to alleviate all of her
concerns. They kept me upto date with any medical or general concerns either by a telephone call or personal when I called to visit my mother.
I would highly recommned this care home and congratulate all the staff, the catering team for excellent meals, the housekeeping for keeping my mums clothes washed and her bedroom tidy, the activites team for providing entertainment and giving individual care (painting her nails) the admin team for keeping me informed of any discussions with the doctors and change of medication and lastly but not leastly the caring team. They are always available to discuss and nothing was too much trouble.

I feel that the care my Mother receives at The Old Vicarage, in Freckleton is a place where residents truly feel cared for and at home. From the moment I stepped through the door, the warmth and kindness of the management team and staff was immediately apparent. It's clear that the team genuinely care
about the well-being of the residents, and this compassion shines through in everything they do.
All the staff are wonderful. They're friendly, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile to ensure residents feel comfortable and safe.
One of the highlights the range of daily activities available to residents. The home offers a diverse schedule that includes everything from arts and crafts to musical performances and dancing sessions.
The food is another standout. It's freshly prepared and varied, with plenty of options to cater to all dietary needs. The portions are really good.
The care home itself is spotless. Personal laundry is done with care.

Thank you all

After working as a District Nurse for 37 years, I needed to find a suitable Residential
Home for my husband who has altzeimers and dementia.
After looking at several homes, I went to see the Knights Retirement home, and was immediately impressed with all aspects of it.
All members of staff are professional
and caring, showing concern and empathy to all residents
Nothing is too much trouble offering choice to residents whenever possible.
To be able to find a home where the atmosphere is so comfortable and happy is a credit to the staff.
I would certainly recommend the Knights Residential Home to any perspective relatives who need assurance that their loved ones will receive exceptional care during their stay
My husband has settled in so well, I know he is in safe professional hands.

Title: Wonderful Care and Genuine Compassion

We can't speak highly enough about the care and kindness shown to our mum at The Old Vicarage. From the very beginning, the staff made her feel welcome, respected, and truly cared for. It's clear that everyone here sees their work as more than just a job-they

treat the residents like family.

The home is always clean, warm, and inviting, with a lovely atmosphere that helps residents feel safe and at ease. The carers are attentive and responsive, taking time to get to know each person's preferences and routines. My mum has not only been well looked after medically, but she's also been able to enjoy a real sense of community.

It's such a relief knowing she's in a place where she's happy, supported, and treated with dignity. We are incredibly grateful to the whole team for their dedication and the peace of mind they've given our family.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

I can't thank everyone who are working for Sandford care home enough from the moment my father went in he was welcomed by all the staff with open arms. Within a few weeks he had adjusted really well and didn't have any problems going out and coming back in again.
All the members of staff have been
amazing. I feel like I have known them all for years, if there is a problem with dad then I know that I can speak to them about anything with no negativity between either of us.
The home is always clean and tidy, Thank you so much for everything that you have done and still are doing for dad. You're all an amazing team it's nice to see that the team have a fantastic bond with each other. Thanks

Glenfield Woodlands

Glenfield Woodlands is an excellent home caring for my mother and father in law.
As it is a small care home it has the feel of a real home from home and this is one of its advantages.
The staff are kind, caring and go above and beyond to meet the individual needs of the residents. Their comfort and
happiness is a priority.
My father in law says it's marvellous and he couldn't be in a better place and especially as he always gets his coffee liqueur!!
My family feel that my mother and father in law are both receiving the best possible care.
Thank you to all the staff that work so hard to make it the best experience possible.
