Such a happy lovely friendly home.Staff amazing and go above and beyond.Fun and laughter whenever i visit.Always something going on.This is a place id call a proper home.Staff very helpfull and friendly lovely cooked meals and home made to a high standard.

We visited Athorpe to see what it would be like for our Mum when and if the time arises for her to have a new home in a care home. Mum has dementia and my 87 yr Dad is her main carer. The visit reassured us that this place would a perfect place for her. Nice rooms, friendly staff and a no nonsense manager which I liked very much. If you're worried, like I was, then the best thing to do is go and look yourself. Not everything might suit but me and brother would happy for our Mum to be there, safe and well looked after.

Grace Jess Peter Terri Cat Soloman and many more (I forgot their names lol ) were great and helpful Rose and Liz the domestics were the same nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. I was very nervous about coming to the Lodge but I feel so much better now and I cant thank them enough, Athorpe is set in beautiful grounds which are kept neat and tidy and it's so peaceful to sit outside on a nice day. And we cant forget Michelle on the reception who is so welcoming and friendly.

Heatherside rest home is a warm, friendly, caring home, set in beautiful surroundings. But what makes heatherside so wonderful is the staff. They are all kind, compassionate and treat each resident with dignity, respect, and patience. From management helping out in all different roles, to all staff knowing every detail of mum's needs it is clear that the well being of the residents is top priority. Mum was so scared and upset on arrival, yet within a few days she was nicely settled, as a direct result of the staff's dedication and kindness. I would highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a safe, caring, and friendly environment for their loved one

Mum has recently moved to Gilling Reane due to failty and vascular dementia. All of the staff have helped to settle Mum with their caring, can do attitude ensuring she is kept as safe as possible whilst maintaining as much of her independence as she can. The Home is spotlessly clean with a relaxed and homely atmosphere. The entertainment has been excellent and fully inclusive with the staff joining in to create joyful and fun occasions. Nothing is too much trouble for the administrators, handyman and managers. Thank you.

Just wanted to say how well looked after my mother has been and how much they have improved her safety and quality of life.

Amazing how clean and tidy the home was. Staff are so helpful and all amazing at there jobs. Really cpuldnt be happier with the placement my aunty has ended up in. Shes so happy now unlike her time at the last care home.

Athorpe Lodge is a lovely place in beautiful surroundings. Michelle on reception goes above and beyond to help and is very friendly. My husband was in for rehabilitation after a long spell in hospital. The staff have been very understanding with him and always reassuring him.

There is nothing I can fault about this care home as my responses show below. Kind, caring, thoughtful.

Now there is too many staff to name and truthfully we don't know everyone's names yet, so ..

They both look so much better than they did before they came to hollybank. Not just physically but also mentally. They are both in brighter spirits and Always say they are happy at their home (hollybank).

We can't express how much of a relief from a families perspective it is that you care for them like you would care for your own. Hollybank really feels like a home away from home. It's obvious that all staff enjoy their jobs, even though you must face challenges on a daily basis, it's never obvious as your professional at all times.

My father has been staying at Holly Bank since the beginning of July 2026. Dad settled in very well with the help of the management and staff team. Dad has taken part in numerous activities such as trips out to the motor museum, weekly pub trips, outings in the local area. There is always something happening in the home. Singing, bowls, skittles, dancing, I think this is what had helped dad settle in so well. Fluids and food/snacks seems plentiful. Dad is encouraged to exercise choice (he has dementia). I think this is important and supported.

Very pleasant home. Been A few times. Nice open Rooms So you Can See everyone and the residents can also talk to each other, They play bingo, singing, and quizzes.

I cannot fault the care & concern not only for my dad but for myself as well. I knew he was being looked after at all time, especially in his last 8 weeks when I knew he was on end of life. Every single member of staff was so lovely. Laura the manager is a credit to the care home, you are very lucky to have her

Our mum has been a resident since June 2025 and both me and my sister 100% agree that it is definitely the best residential care home that we could have chosen. It is well managed, all the staff are very professional and also very friendly. The home understands our mums needs and are very proactive if she requires any additional care and support. She is treated with dignity, respect and the staff also have some fun with our mum too. The recent garden party was amazing and so many of the staff who were off duty also attended. We are also made very welcome when we visit our mum and we enjoy the time we spend with her at the home because of this. We thank everyone who works there for everything that they do and we would definitely recommend it to anyone who has a relative who needs to go into care.

Mum loves it at Brantley Manor. Mum has her own space in the hub which is where she loves being so she sees what is happening even though she tells me she can't see. The staff are very kind and helpful. Mum loves her cups of tea and the food is delicious. We are very happy with everything and everyone at Brantley Manor.

My husband is a recent new resident at Brantley Manor, which was recommended to me through a friend. I liked the fact of it being a smaller care home, which offered a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. I have found this to be the case, with all the staff consistently pleasant, attentive and patient. It provides suitable activities and entertainment and always has a positive vibe.

Mum is currently staying for temporary respite care, she is overwhelmed with the kindness of all the staff and the quality of food and care. She is walking with a walking frame which is remarkable progress. Thank you to all of the staff -Ann

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Great environment and facilities offer a home from home for residents and every need is catered for. Family and friends made very welcome to visit whenever they can

Dad/ Jim came to to the Clough over 4 years ago when it became obvious that he was not safe at home. We were all concerned that he wouldn't settle as he was a very independent man. We need not have worried. The staff at the Clough always treated dad with respect and always let him be him. Dad passed away 3 weeks ago aged 92, peacefully in his room. We will always be grateful to the staff for their care and commitment over the past 4 years.
