During her last few weeks when she was very poorly it was comforting to know she was surrounded by so much love and care, and she was able to spend her remaining time at Wellfield - a place she called home. In particular, I am hugely grateful for how you all pulled together in her last few days, clearly putting what you knew were her best interests at the forefront of everything, and going above and beyond (even driving around all the pharmacies in the area at a weekend to get the prescribed medication she needed so that she did not have to go into hospital unnecessarily!) Thank you so so very much for all you did to make me welcome and comfortable when I stayed with her during her last day, and for your sensitive aftercare of us all, too.

Mum, she mulled this over for a while, gave my hand a squeeze and said "well that's all that matters, isn't it, keeping me safe". She moved in a short time later and set about settling in. No mean feat for a proud person like Mum but she did just that and being a pragmatic person, very quickly realised that this was the life for her. She had no regrets at all. Nice room, surrounded by lots of lovely people and a raft of special ones that she was very, very fond of. She seemed to thrive under the care she received. Thank you so much, Team Wellfield.
