View Full Details of Lower MeadowWe were greeted very warmly and made welcome when we arrived to look round. Mum spent 6 months at the home and during that time all concerns were looked into and mum cared for as best they could, maintaining dignity and with love. In her last days, we were looked after given a room to rest and food whilst we stayed with mum in her last days.
I found the support given really wonderful by everyone from care staff t management. The end-of-life care for my husband was excellent.
I and my 2 daughters were pleased and satisfied with the care my wife and their mother received at Lower Meadow, during the 5 months she was a resident. Everyone at Lower Meadow conducted their work with a smile and were attentive to needs and helped with kindness. Food was a problem with my wife and they tried hard to provide something she would enjoy and could manage swallowing. At the end of life we were offered every assistance we needed - food, a room to wash and nap in which enabled us to be with her night and day. The medical care was excellent - staff and doctors and nurses. Management did their utmost to help at our time of need and during her stay at the home where my wife was happy and content. I visited my wife everyday for the 5 months of her stay and all day/night the last week of her life and was always made very welcome. Thank you.
They made my mum feel very welcome for 2 weeks stay. It was her first time and although the first few days were challenging, once she settled, she was participating in activities and the staff took her out and made a Jamaican curry with her. The staff are fabulous and the residents are lovely. Overall, a lovely experience for my mum.
I came into this care home because of my mobility. The staff always offer to help me with having a shower and washing my hair. My room is always cleaned. I enjoy my food, there is plenty of choices. The activities are helpful. I know the management and I know I can always go to see them if I had a problem. I am so lucky to be cared for here.
Due to Mum's health issue, she has been in several care homes but we feel we have now found her forever home at Lower Meadow. We have noticed significant improvements in Mum's mobility and her interactions with staff and other residents. The care home itself is modern, clean and well laid out and there always seems to be a staff member available to help. There is a lovely community atmosphere and I feel that all the staff are genuinely committed to making their residents feel happy and fulfilled.
I am more than happy for my mother to stay at Lower Meadow. The staff are lovely and very caring. My mother thinks the world of her main carer. My mother has vascular dementia, but I know she is safe and well cared for in there. She does more since moving into Lower Meadow than she ever did at home. They have great activities for the residents to join in with, and they actually had a day trip to the seaside! I would highly recommend Lower Meadow to anyone looking for a home from home for their loved one.
Lower Meadow Care Home, it's amazing staff and management, is a fantastic place for any person requiring help and support. They are welcoming, warm, passionate about their residents and always available to chat. All requests are acted on swiftly, the staff can't do enough for you. A big shout out to one man who is a fantastic staff member, amazingly approachable, understanding and supportive. The activity programme, fitness sessions, response to resident requests and numerous adventures have brought new vigour to my Father. They ensure happiness, freedom, support, care and laughter. We personalised his room, his routine, his social circle has grown and he is all the better for it. Emotional and nutritional support is fantastic, meals are reported as fabulous and it's been an incredible start to life in residential care. Thank you.
Staff are helpful, kind, understanding and look after the patients with love and compassion.
Since Mum has been in Lower Meadow there has been a big improvement, she feels safe and looked after and has put on some weight as she thrives on routine and goes to the dining room every day for lunch at 12.30. My three brothers and I are very happy with her care and the fact that she is more like Mum again, it has lifted a lot of pressure.
Lower Meadow has been a fabulous home for my mum. She has made many friends, and there is never a dull moment. The staff are amazing and always happy to help. The atmosphere is so homely and welcoming to residents and visitors alike.
Lower Meadow is such a lovely place with kind and caring staff. Always things going on and the manager is always available to talk to. I’m so glad my mum is there as I know she’s safe and well looked after. It gives me comfort knowing she is being cared for so well.
Dad is getting more frail and elderly, and has encountered more difficulties recently. Everyone at Lower Meadow has been very very caring and professional. They also ensure a kind and friendly atmosphere. It's a place that's full of life, and their working relationship with NHS services seems excellent. I think Lower Meadow is a credit to Runwood Homes.
What a fantastic Care Home. Mum is currently in respite care at Lower Meadow and is receiving wonderful, caring support from everyone at the Home. The nursing staff display exceptional understanding of Mum's needs which they carry out with extraordinary sensitivity. Special mention to one staff member in particular for her generous support and to the management team.
From the first moment we made contact with the team at Lower Meadow we received wonderful caring support and help. Mum was due to stay for respite care in October 2022: this date was brought forward at very short notice as it transpired she was needing help sooner mid September. Management and the team could not have been more helpful, the room was made ready immediately and Mum soon settled thanks to the warmth and friendly welcome she received. Sadly Mum's health continued to decline and her room became her 'home'. We could not have wished for better and can't thank the team enough for the constant care given. Mum had complex health issues and although physically frail, the staff did all they could to keep her spirits up, involved as possible in activities, happy and safe. Nothing was too much trouble, Mum was well looked after throughout. Lower Meadow is truly a special place, thanks to the care and expertise of all the team.
My father-in-law moved into Lower Meadows 11/04/23. As with all families, it is one of the hardest decisions a family has to make or either have no other choice to do for their loved ones. It is still very early days as a family we are still yet to fully understand everything that this care home has to offer the logistics of everything. He has settled in well and is happy. The managers are friendly warm and welcoming- always taking time to speak to us when needed they just want what is best for their residents /care home. All the staff we have met are friendly and caring I must mention his carer she is always smiling so helpful down to earth with such a wonderful caring way about her. We are so thankful that John is in such a caring home. We can’t thank all of the staff enough. It has truly provided us with comfort and assurance knowing he is being cared for in a beautiful safe immaculate happy environment. It’s lovely to hear the music playing in the background when we visit.
A lovely friendly care home whose staff went above and beyond the requirements of their job to make my father feel truly cared for whilst he was at Lower Meadow. The manager and her team should be credited for their work.
On my first visit to discuss my aunt going into a care home, I was very impressed with the look of the home and the condition and more homely than others I had seen. I was happy with the information I was given and clean and bright,
The care provided by Lower Meadow was wonderful. My brother was treated with so much dignity and respect. I have nothing but huge admiration for the ladies and gentlemen who provided my brother with care.
My mother stayed with Lower Meadow, Stratford, for respite care. She seemed to enjoy her stay there and we felt that the staff were able to meet her needs, despite my mother speaking limited English. The staff at Lower Meadow were very welcoming and supportive when following my mother's care plan. The staff along with her carer were a credit to the care home and we will be pleased to use their service in the future.
