My mum came into Holmewood in December on respite care and is continuing on to become a permanent resident.
The transition from home to care is very traumatic for everyone, but I have to say that I feel she is in the best place with Cathy and her team. The staff are always pleasant and friendly,
and the facilities are good. Since being in with other people who have become friends, mum is enjoying the experience and seems settled, giving me peace of mind.

I cannot commend enough the work and care that the staff of this home do for all its residents. Carina is just wonderful at entertaining and making all the residents feel happy and special . Well done to Cathy for employing such special staff .

Lovely home. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food nice and fresh. My grandma's words - "If I could pick somewhere to stay, I would choose here!"

I am absolutely thrilled with the care my dad is receiving at Holmewood. I moved Dad from another care home, an has been so happy. I can finally relax knowing he is cared for.

Feels as though it is one big family. Carers are very attentive and actually care for resident and visitors. Excellent.

Mums been with manor care home, Holmewood, since September 2025. Rooms are lovely and cosy. Staff are caring and polite, always keep family informed if anything needs to be discussed about Mum. Good activities and an all-round genuine care for all residents. Clean and tidy, friendly and
knowledgeable staff, if we have any questions.

Last 2 weekends' entertainment was very good and stimulating for Mum. Everyone gets together. Really friendly staff, including family members, with open arms. All staff so caring towards all residents. In time, Mum will become settled and happy. I am sure she is in the best place

Every time I visit I am made to feel welcome and am always pleased with the way the staff respond to residents. There is always a warm, friendly atmosphere in Holmewood. My wife had to go into Holmewood because I could not keep her safe, and I am so very grateful to Holmewood for taking care of her
for me. I cannot thank the staff there enough for the care she has received. And I know that she is safe and cannot hurt herself or anyone else. Thank you.

Overall, this is a good care home. The staff are friendly and caring, but are often rushed - especially at bedtime.
The one thing that lets this home down is the food.

The staff are very nice and polite, a friendly atmosphere, caring & loving. Activities are very relevant for all the residents, a lot of parties & celebrations.

I have found the care home a welcoming and friendly environment. The staff have been supportive of my dad as a resident and also us as a family. The care home has taken the time to get to know my dad and this has enabled him to settle into his new environment. Staff take the time to run activities
and keep residents stimulated and interested.

Very happy here. The day we arrived, another resident said to us 'he'll be happy here," and she was right. Entertainment very good, and everyone included regardless of ability. Doesn't complain about the food, and he's a fussy eater. Lots of lovely cake!! The staff inspire confidence. Very attentive
to the needs of the residents.

The care and cooperation is outstanding friendly staff. My wife is very happy here and up to now very well looked after. Entertainment is more than adequate. My opinion is that the care home is well run.

VE Day Celebrations.
Singer was ok, which the residents liked. We were encouraged to join in (as usual), we didn't feel pressured and enjoyed every minute.
I like that all the staff joined in and dressed up for the occasion.
Always a pleasure to visit.

I am extremely happy that my dad is a resident here. I think everyone who works here are very caring and always make sure that all needs are taken care of.
I'm very happy that I was the first person who was contacted when my dad has his accident.
