Last 2 weekends' entertainment was very good and stimulating for Mum. Everyone gets together. Really friendly staff, including family members, with open arms. All staff so caring towards all residents. In time, Mum will become settled and happy. I am sure she is in the best place

My mother, Gwendoline, is always very happy and well cared for, always looks lovely and clean when visiting.

Every time I visit I am made to feel welcome and am always pleased with the way the staff respond to residents. There is always a warm, friendly atmosphere in Holmewood. My wife had to go into Holmewood because I could not keep her safe, and I am so very grateful to Holmewood for taking care of her for me. I cannot thank the staff there enough for the care she has received. And I know that she is safe and cannot hurt herself or anyone else. Thank you.

Overall, this is a good care home. The staff are friendly and caring, but are often rushed - especially at bedtime. The one thing that lets this home down is the food.

The staff are very nice and polite, a friendly atmosphere, caring & loving. Activities are very relevant for all the residents, a lot of parties & celebrations.

I have found the care home a welcoming and friendly environment. The staff have been supportive of my dad as a resident and also us as a family. The care home has taken the time to get to know my dad and this has enabled him to settle into his new environment. Staff take the time to run activities and keep residents stimulated and interested.

Very happy here. The day we arrived, another resident said to us 'he'll be happy here," and she was right. Entertainment very good, and everyone included regardless of ability. Doesn't complain about the food, and he's a fussy eater. Lots of lovely cake!! The staff inspire confidence. Very attentive to the needs of the residents.

The care and cooperation is outstanding friendly staff. My wife is very happy here and up to now very well looked after. Entertainment is more than adequate. My opinion is that the care home is well run.

VE Day Celebrations. Singer was ok, which the residents liked. We were encouraged to join in (as usual), we didn't feel pressured and enjoyed every minute. I like that all the staff joined in and dressed up for the occasion. Always a pleasure to visit.

I am extremely happy that my dad is a resident here. I think everyone who works here are very caring and always make sure that all needs are taken care of. I'm very happy that I was the first person who was contacted when my dad has his accident.

I feel very nice here and the staff are doing an amazing job. I like the food and activities are very relevant. My room is very clean thank you so much. Activity lady is going amazing job. Loving painting and arts and crafts session involving making a memory tree. I really enjoyed this activity.

Many thank for the care given to my mum in the last 10 years. I have always known that she has been in safe and caring hands and well looked after. Communication has always been excellent between the home and family. Once again many thanks.

This was short term emergency respite care, I have always been apprehensive about using this service, however, it surpassed my expectations. The allocated room was nicely furnished with its own toilet and sink and very clean. I found the management and staff to be very friendly, kind, caring and courteous to both myself and my mum. I cannot thank the Manager and her team enough for the kindness they have shown to mum. The only improvement I could suggest would be intermittent air fresheners strategically placed.

This care home has gone above and beyond for my grandmother, she was really well looked after and managed to do things during her time here that she wouldn't have ever got to do. She was happy and contented here. All the staff are incredible and really friendly. A huge thank you to all the staff, it really is a lovely care home.

Both my father in law and mother in law had been living at Holmewood Care Home this year until both of them passed away. The care they both recieved was 100%. Nothing is to much trouble for the carers, even when both of them were on palliative care, they would watch them right to the end. The entertainment lady is so good with the residents, taking them out on outings, doing things in the home with them, singing in the rooms when poorly. Also the manager in the home will do anything to help, always comes around to speak to the residents and puts a lot of work into the home. I would highly recommend this home. The cleaners do the rooms everyday.
