My mum actually went into the Aigburth after my sisters and myself heard good recommendations about the care home ( mum was in a care home close to her actual Melton Mowbray home) Mum as dementia. We weren't disappointed with the care and attention mum received once admitted . The staff are first class and the facilities are second to none . Mum goes out on regular trips from the home and events are regularly held actually in the home . We are kept up to date on how mum is doing and if we want to ask any questions a member of staff is always on hand to handle our query . All this really helps putting us at ease that mum is safe and well looked after on her current journey . We all would recommend the Aigburth . The following categories on ' Treated with dignity ' and ' Safe /Security ' are paramount.
I have been pleased with the care my Dad has received. Aigburth provides the human touch that makes living there enjoyable. It provides a range of interesting activities across a wide range of topics. On top of all that the food is really good.
Great experience settling my dad in as a new resident, the staff liaised with the hospital he was being treated in and made sure the transfer went smoothly and that we as a family were kept informed at all times. The staff were very welcoming when my sister & I visited to look at the home (we could tell straight away how lovely everyone is). Then when we visited when my dad had moved in, it was clear how much effort the staff were putting in to make him and us feel welcome.
My auntie moved to Aigburth in February. She was with drawn and wouldn't leave her bed. But with support from a grate care team they have brought her back eating drinking and being part of the Aigburth family. It's all down to the care and support she has been given over the past 7 months. I am very grateful for the work they have done with my auntie. Thank you.
The residents are well-respected and well looked after by the staff. They all go the extra mile to make every day as good as it can be, even if the resident is having a difficult day. There are lots of activities including day trips even for those with additional healthcare, cognitive or physical needs.
As soon as I made my first visit I was impressed by the friendliness and efficiency of the home. I still think that, after my wife has been in a short while. My wife is very well looked after, great care is taken over her medication, everywhere is spotlessly clean, the garden is attractive and well maintained and the food is good. I can't fault anything. Outstanding care is provided by Aigburth for my mum. Shes resided there for over 2 1/2 years and although the dementia has progressed significantly, she has been cared for throughout the inevitable decline. All the staff are lovely and friendly with residents and visitors alike.
My Mother really likes the home and is well looked after even when she has a problem. She has been out on various occasions organised by the home and has alwas enjoyed them. She also has 'games' in the home occasionally winning! She has asked for different things for lunch and people has produced them for her (and others). I and Brother and sister visit her when we can and take her out too. When we are in the home the employees are all friendly.
Aigburth provides a safe, comfortable and happy environment. The interaction between staff and residents is lively and encouraging, and creates a happy atmosphere. The outings, activities, etc., are imaginative and stimulating.
A warm welcome is always present from the care and administrative staff. We are never made to feel that we are inconvenient. The property is clean and well maintained. The gardens are particularly well maintained and are a credit to the volunteers. We really look forward to taking Mother for a walk around the gardens and we all feel refreshed by it. Mother seem totally satisfied with her care and eagerly awaits each meal. The senior care staff seem to have a good appreciation of Mother's medical needs and seem to be managing her problems appropriately.
My Mother has been in Aigburth Care Home since October 2021 and is settled and comfortable there and that home has an excellent team of staff supported by many volunteers and an active Friends of Aigburth group. There are many staff members who have been there a long time and are prepared to do extra work above their call of duty. Indeed the deputy manager and a senior carer are carrying out the redecoration of the Treetops Lounge there in their own time. The success of the home is due to it being a Methodist Home and my Mother and other residents there have known the home since it was built in the 1960s and were active in the Friends of Aigburth and supporting events there since that time before becoming residents there themselves. It is important that there is both a Sunday Service and Midweek services there every week and the chaplain there does a good job, and as a Methodist member myself I'm encouraged to continue to be involved in helping at the home as far as I'm able to do so.
Aigburth is a wonderful care home with very good facilities set in a blissful environment with beautiful well maintained gardens. All the staff and management are very friendly and provide excellent care to the residents.
I am more than happy with every aspect of the care and environment provided to my mother for almost 10 years now ! My mother's needs have changed over time and she has been well and appropriately supported as her care requirements have changed and increased ( She has vascula dementia now in addition to significant and complex physical care meeds ).Many key staff members have been at the home for some years ,some when my Mum first arrived.( -which indicates how good the management is and the commitment to team work). All staff in all roles (- and dedicated volunteers ) work as a tight and effective team with compassion, patience and good humour , real respect for residents and personalised care. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, food and meals home- cooked , varied and high quality , and the gardens spectacular! I am so grateful to Aigburth staff for all they do and believe Mum is as content and comfortable as is possible .
It was a difficult decision to move Aunty into a dementia care home, away from her locality, but Aigburth, over the last 18 months, has allayed our concerns. The staff are all friendly and approachable and most importantly Aunty is very well cared for and respected as an individual. Aigburth maintains very good communication with relatives and is a lovely place to visit. Information shared and involvement encouraged by relatives, as well as varied enrichment activities for residents, is so positive.
There are so many good things to say about Aigburth. There is plenty to keep the residents interested with lots of activities and entertainment provided if they choose to join in. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful and there are volunteers who enjoy their role. The home is well kept and the gardens are beautiful. It is a caring place to live and the rooms can be personalised with pictures etc so it feels like home.
Since moving in, I have felt comfortable. My room has been personalised to how I want it. The staff are very nice to me and I feel comfortable talking to them. When I need assistance the staff are always available. If they can't help straight away they come back when they can. They were kind to me when I was not feeling well.
Aigburth is a truly exceptional home, the atmosphere of loving compassion surrounds you as you enter. Caring is the staff's top priority no matter how frail, ill or cognitively impaired each resident is treated respectfully, lovingly and with good humour. This enables residents to function to the best of their remaining abilities as they are being consistently supported by staff performing at their very best too. It's not only a privilege but also a source of joy to spend time in the company of the residents and staff here at Aigburth and I write this having visited many other care homes both in this city and county and in other parts of England too. A resident wrote in the home's New Year magazine 'Soon settled into the routine of the home, enjoying the activities including storytelling, exercise, music etc. I have chatted and made friends with many staff and residents. A relative wrote 'We couldn't have chosen better it is a lovely home with beautiful gardens. The staff are amazing.'
Well, where to begin - since last September, both my parents have been residents at Aigburth Care Home. I have to say the place is outstanding. It is very well maintained and is always clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious, clean and all rooms have a view of the gardens. The care that is provided is amazing, and the staff treat the residents with care, compassion, respect and dignity. All members of staff are very friendly, and welcoming. There are lots of activities each day, and everyone is encouraged to join in. Each day the residents receive a newsletter that provides facts of the day, jokes, and a quiz. Residents also receive a daily menu where they can choose what meals they would like. There are various areas where you can sit with your loved ones, such as the beautiful gardens, decking area and a foyer where refreshments are available. I would highly recommend this care home to others.
Mum has been in Aigburth for just over a year. She is settled and we know most of the staff by name and all by sight. Mum's mobility is deteriorating but I'm confident Aigburth will be able to respond as required.
As the resident's daughter, I am very pleased with the care they are receiving and feel that the resident's needs are being met. I also appreciate the communication with the staff about the welfare of my father.
