Aigburth provides a safe, comfortable and happy environment. The interaction between staff and residents is lively and encouraging, and creates a happy atmosphere. The outings, activities, etc., are imaginative and stimulating.

A warm welcome is always present from the care and administrative staff. We are never made to feel that we are inconvenient.
The property is clean and well maintained. The gardens are particularly well maintained and are a credit to the volunteers. We really look forward to taking Mother for a walk
around the gardens and we all feel refreshed by it.
Mother seem totally satisfied with her care and eagerly awaits each meal.
The senior care staff seem to have a good appreciation of Mother's medical needs and seem to be managing her problems appropriately.

My Mother has been in Aigburth Care Home since October 2021 and is settled and comfortable there and that home has an excellent team of staff supported by many volunteers and an active Friends of Aigburth group. There are many staff members who have been there a long time and are prepared to do extra
work above their call of duty. Indeed the deputy manager and a senior carer are carrying out the redecoration of the Treetops Lounge there in their own time. The success of the home is due to it being a Methodist Home and my Mother and other residents there have known the home since it was built in the 1960s and were active in the Friends of Aigburth and supporting events there since that time before becoming residents there themselves. It is important that there is both a Sunday Service and Midweek services there every week and the chaplain there does a good job, and as a Methodist member myself I'm encouraged to continue to be involved in helping at the home as far as I'm able to do so.

I am more than happy with every aspect of the care and environment provided to my mother for almost 10 years now ! My mother's needs have changed over time and she has been well and appropriately supported as her care requirements have changed and increased ( She has vascula dementia now in addition
to significant and complex physical care meeds ).Many key staff members have been at the home for some years ,some when my Mum first arrived.( -which indicates how good the management is and the commitment to team work). All staff in all roles (- and dedicated volunteers ) work as a tight and effective team with compassion, patience and good humour , real respect for residents and personalised care. The accommodation is exceptionally clean, food and meals home- cooked , varied and high quality , and the gardens spectacular!
I am so grateful to Aigburth staff for all they do and believe Mum is as content and comfortable as is possible .

It was a difficult decision to move Aunty into a dementia care home, away from her locality, but Aigburth, over the last 18 months, has allayed our concerns. The staff are all friendly and approachable and most importantly Aunty is very well cared for and respected as an individual.
Aigburth maintains
very good communication with relatives and is a lovely place to visit.
Information shared and involvement encouraged by relatives, as well as varied enrichment activities for residents, is so positive.

There are so many good things to say about Aigburth. There is plenty to keep the residents interested with lots of activities and entertainment provided if they choose to join in. The staff are friendly, caring and helpful and there are volunteers who enjoy their role. The home is well kept and the
gardens are beautiful. It is a caring place to live and the rooms can be personalised with pictures etc so it feels like home.

Since moving in, I have felt comfortable. My room has been personalised to how I want it. The staff are very nice to me and I feel comfortable talking to them. When I need assistance the staff are always available. If they can't help straight away they come back when they can. They were kind to me when

Aigburth is a truly exceptional home, the atmosphere of loving compassion surrounds you as you enter. Caring is the staff's top priority no matter how frail, ill or cognitively impaired each resident is treated respectfully, lovingly and with good humour. This enables residents to function to the best
of their remaining abilities as they are being consistently supported by staff performing at their very best too. It's not only a privilege but also a source of joy to spend time in the company of the residents and staff here at Aigburth and I write this having visited many other care homes both in this city and county and in other parts of England too. A resident wrote in the home's New Year magazine 'Soon settled into the routine of the home, enjoying the activities including storytelling, exercise, music etc. I have chatted and made friends with many staff and residents. A relative wrote 'We couldn't have chosen better it is a lovely home with beautiful gardens. The staff are amazing.'

Well, where to begin - since last September, both my parents have been residents at Aigburth Care Home. I have to say the place is outstanding. It is very well maintained and is always clean and tidy. The rooms are spacious, clean and all rooms have a view of the gardens.
The care that is provided
is amazing, and the staff treat the residents with care, compassion, respect and dignity. All members of staff are very friendly, and welcoming. There are lots of activities each day, and everyone is encouraged to join in. Each day the residents receive a newsletter that provides facts of the day, jokes, and a quiz. Residents also receive a daily menu where they can choose what meals they would like.
There are various areas where you can sit with your loved ones, such as the beautiful gardens, decking area and a foyer where refreshments are available.
I would highly recommend this care home to others.

Mum has been in Aigburth for just over a year. She is settled and we know most of the staff by name and all by sight. Mum's mobility is deteriorating but I'm confident Aigburth will be able to respond as required.

The staff at Aigburth are all very friendly, irrespective of their role. There's a lovely atmosphere and lots of laughs. There are many activities organised for the residents such as gardening club, games, crafts, music performances, day trips out, coffee mornings, and more. There are good menu options
and regular snacks.

I was warmly welcomed into Aigburth at short notice on the 23rd of May 2024 after a spell in hospital. 7 months later I'm still here! Aigburth is a lovely place but would just like to say the following - It would be nice if dining tables were always set with pepper and salt and napkins to see hunting
around. It would be nice if tea and hot food was always piping hot.

In March my two daughters were informed that the home wanted to change the Kingfisher floor to an all-dementia floor and would like me and four or five other residents to move to Treetops. After being on Kingfisher for three years it was a little traumatic but having viewed what would be my room I agreed.
I was able to move items of furniture etc with me and all went well.

The administration manager is always helpful and available in need. I find the majority of staff understand my willingness to help. The handyman is always happy to help unless he is very busy, he will help the next day. I enjoy the variety of activities offered, whether we want to attend or not. Personally,
for me, the three very good meals are too heavy. I appreciate the freedom to bring any pictures and have them put up in my room and bring in my own furniture that I choose to.

Sadly my mum wasn't at Aigburth for long - but in the time she was there, she was looked after with care and dedication. When she became very poorly, the whole team showed compassion and caring not just to her but to all our family. I would have no hesitation in recommending this care home to others.

My mother enjoyed the show with the magicians at the end of May. They spent a long time interacting with the residents (and staff) in a way that made everyone feel included and they remembered the names of those they had spoken to.
Mum has been able to recall the fun she had even a couple of weeks
