Our mother moved into Aigburth at the beginning of July, when her dementia progressed to a level that her previous care home was not qualified to deal with. It was a very difficult and emotional time for us all and made even more so because of the lockdown restrictions. All the staff at Aigburth were
absolutely brilliant; their understanding and support helped to make the situation so much easier for our mother and indeed for us. Mother settled in very quickly, she became more alert and established a warm and gentle rapport with staff. Her room was light and airy, with a view over the beautiful gardens. Food was excellent and activities were inclusive and fun and she was able to join in and enjoy them.
Unfortunately, our mother took a sudden turn for the worse and passed away after only a few weeks but we cannot thank the staff enough for making her feel valued and cared for, for the dignity and respect with which she was treated and for the love that she was shown.

The management and staff are very kind, caring and approachable at this home. The food is of a very good standard. The residents are treated with care, kindness and dignity. There is a very good activity program which all residents are encouraged to take part in. The garden is very well kept and there
is a lovely decking area which is used regularly in the summer. All the staff are doing a great job at this most difficult time. The office sends a weekly bulletin and updates us on everything regarding the virus. A big thank you to everyone for keeping my mother as safe as possible.

Mum has been at Aigburth for two years now and not only is she settled, happy and content but we have seen improvements in both her physical and mental well being, brought about by the wonderful all-round care she receives from all the staff and volunteers.
The staff are so lovely, genuinely kind,
caring, fun and dedicated. They know Mum well and have a good understanding of her dementia and treat her with respect and dignity.
There is a real family and homely atmosphere created by the staff and volunteers, and an amazing entertainments team and the gardens are beautiful.
As a family, we are always made to feel as though we are part of an extended family and we know Mum could not have a better home.
Even in these challenging and difficult times, all the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure not only Mum continues to be well cared for but we as a family are reassured that she is loved and in the safest of hands.
We cannot thank you enough.

The last few weeks have made me realise how much I owe the carers. In the most challenging of times, my experience has been that they have put my Mum's care first, meeting the concerns of relatives by proactive communication second and their own needs last; at a time when so many are consumed by dealing
with their own needs first.
Such selflessness sets an inspiring example but will pass unnoticed unless we acknowledge it. So a big thank you to you all.

Mum is happy and well cared for at Aigburth where the staff are lovely and there is a family atmosphere. I always feel welcome when I visit. Even during the Covid 19 crisis, they were able to help Mum celebrate her birthday and send super videos and photos to her family. Of all the activities, Mum particularly
loves the sing songs.

My mum has settled in well after the first six months. It's as if she has always been there.
The en-suite room is excellent, with lovely views over the garden. The staff and volunteers do an outstanding job, always cheerful and helpful. They don't just carry out their normal duties, but happy to volunteer
to give extra help. Trips and activities are non stop. Lots for her to do. Many thanks. Well done.

Both of my parents have been at Aigburth for 18 months now. It is a super purpose-built place with excellent facilities. The staff are very helpful and friendly and do a marvellous job of attending to all of my patents needs, often above and beyond the call of duty. I honestly believe that Mum and Dad
could not be in a better place. As a family, we know that they are well looked after and are safe. The daily entertainment programme and beautiful gardens are the icing on the cake. I would not hesitate in recommending this facility.

My Mum moved into Aigburth six months ago and very quickly became much happier than she was living alone in her own home. She had not been looking forward to going into a care home and it has taken a bit of getting used to, but she is a lot less worried about things than she used to be. The staff are

My mother has been living at Aigburth for three years and is very well looked after and cared for. She is very happy there and we find the carers are always smiling, happy and very helpful and very attentive to Mum's needs. The food at Aigburth is very nice, Mum is fed very well with good nourishing
food. The entertainment is very good with lots of singing and encouragement for all the residents to join in.

Lovely, bright, clean and comfortable home. The standard of care is excellent, staff are kind, considerate and caring to all needs. The atmosphere is happy and cheerful. The staff go to great lengths to ensure everyone is happy and are always there to talk to if you are down or worried about anything.
Meals are varied and have a good choice of menu each day. Overall a really nice home to stay in when you cannot cope at home any more.

My Dad has been at Aigburth for almost 2 years. Dad likes living there and attends most of the activities. On the whole, the family are happy with the care provided. On the few occasions, there have been issues we feel that we have been listened to and efforts made to resolve them.
The majority of
staff are good, but a few stand out for going the extra mile! One of those is the person who’s musical talents and patience are greatly appreciated. There is another lady, she is lovely with all the residents and I know that when her shift is on, Dad is always well presented.
The gardens are lovely with a good selection of flowers, it is a shame that residents are not encouraged and enabled to use them more, especially during good weather.
I know from experience how care homes vary and I have recommended Aigburth to several people.

I am very happy with the care my father receives at Aigburth. He has been a resident for over 18 months. We were very worried about how he would settle as his attitude to care homes was always very negative. However, he has settled in and the carers know him well. He is treated with dignity and with
an understanding of his dementia. It is easy to visit and the staff are very accommodating. He enjoys the garden as it's lovely as well as a peaceful place to sit and have a walk-in.
