The staff are very caring and do their best to look after the residents who all have advanced dementia. There is a nice atmosphere when I visit, often there are birthdays to celebrate and a cake is provided. I can’t think she would get this care at another home.

So many good things to say about Aigburth. Staff are very friendly, good team spirit, great atmosphere, lots of laughs. There are lots of activities organised for the residents such as gardening club, games, crafting, music performances, day trips out, coffee mornings, and so much more. There are lots of tasty meals, good menu options from which the residents can choose. Good cleaning regime, spillages are quickly cleared away. Purpose-built as a care home, wheelchair accessible, wide corridors, every room is en-suite with a great garden view, with light and airy communal areas. Visitors are always made to feel welcome no matter what the time of day, you can even enjoy a meal with your loved one. We are so glad we chose Aigburth.

Friendly, caring atmosphere. Great facilities and the most beautiful gardens.

The staff are welcoming and approachable. Mum has been supported in maintaining as much independence as possible whilst also having help whenever necessary.

I have always been very satisfied with the way Aigburth have cared, over 9 years, for my aunt. The facilities are first class and the care excellent, especially over the last few months when my aunt has been extremely frail. They communicate well with my brother and I. I was disappointed that there was no MHA home for my mother to go into and Aigburth compares well with with the one she is in now, which itself has 5 stars.

My wife some five years ago had excellent treatment during her end of life. I have had to experience a stay some five years later and the care and events at Aigburth have not deteriorated in the years gone by.

My aunt is a resident at Aigburth she is happy there and has the help and support to live her life independently.
The staff are lovely helpful and accommodating and the atmosphere is like a little family-run home.

A big thank you to all the staff for the excellent care you provide to my aunt, we are blessed to have such wonderful, caring, genuine people.

Mother-in-law well looked after by Aigburth since 2021 until her passing at ripe old age of 93 in September. Home is well managed and staff is good at communicating and engaging with family members, inviting them for meetings and updating them on wellbeing of their loved ones. Staff are all caring and professional. In my mother-in-law's final days, the home was wonderfully accommodating with the large number of family members coming in and out of the home, making a difficult time less stressful. Thank you Aigburth for everything you've done, keep up the good work. Not easy looking after people with dementia, takes special people.

All staff who work for Aigburth Care Home give their best. At times, I believe they would be helped with, if possible, one or two more staff, x few hours or whatever they require a week.

The home is one of the best I have visited. May it always be so.

On the whole, the standard of care is excellent.
A few things are missed but that is inevitable in such a large place.
The home is spotlessly clean and the staff are always well-presented and friendly.

The organised activities are fabulous.

I was delighted to be invited to an exhibition of residents’ art at Aigburth. My mum has always loved painting and was encouraged to take this up again and submit her work for the exhibition. I felt it gave her focus and huge enjoyment, being out in the garden during the summer.

My experience of Aigburth has been excellent. It is not easy to see a very close relative suddenly needing 24/7 care, but Aigburth has been the perfect place. All the staff I have contact with have been professional, supportive, and approachable. It has been good to have peace of mind that Mum is in the best place for her at this stage of her life. The facilities are outstanding and seem more like a hotel. It was wonderful to have the use of the lounge for Mum's birthday, which made for a very special family time. Very thankful for Aigburth and all the staff.

The standard here is very good and the care is sometimes over the top but better that way than the other. Support is good and I have been treated with dignity when the support has been necessary. The staff and management do as well as can be expected when money is on a tight rein. I hope that when the cost of living improves, the fees will come down proportionately and not stay at the level they are as the utilities do! I find my room on the small side and it is difficult to entertain visitors.

My mother received wonderful kind thoughtful care from all staff at Aigburth, especially during her final weeks. I can’t thank them or recommend them enough.

She had a clean comfortable room with a view over the lovely garden which is cared for by several volunteer gardeners.

Having moved four months previous the staff and the care they provided were great. Unfortunately, our friend passed away in March and throughout the last days of her life, the staff were caring and sympathetic.

Overall a lovely care home to be in, it was a pleasure to know everyone staff and residents.

My mum needed urgent respite care after having a fall at home following a stroke. The manager was able to assess her quickly, a room was available, and my mum was able to go in that same day. All the staff are kind and helpful, as are the lovely volunteers who organise all sorts of activities. My mum feels safe and supported, and her being at Aigburth has given the family peace of mind. It is not her home, but the staff really try to make it the next best thing. Her only criticism is that the food can be a bit bland!
