I would like to start by saying how kind, caring and approachable all the staff are. Nothing ever feels too much trouble, and the way they support my stepdad, particularly with his dementia, is genuinely appreciated. It gives our family great reassurance knowing he is so well looked after.
However, I do want to raise an ongoing concern regarding laundry. On numerous occasions, the clothes in his wardrobe are not his, and sadly some of his own clothes have gone missing despite all items being clearly named. I completely understand how busy the home is and that staff are caring for many residents, but this has become quite frustrating and upsetting over time.
I wondered whether a simple solution might help prevent this continuing. For example, providing each resident with their own washable laundry bag kept in their room, which could then be placed directly into the washing machine. Separate bags for whites and colours could make this even and reduce items being mixed up .

We were slightly apprehensive about mum going into a care home as reviews didn't seem great. However in the few weeks she has been in she has been cared for well and overall I'm pleased with the care as is my mum.

As an occupant who is free of medical complaints, I require little attention from staff. Breakfast, lunch (12.30pm) two course (always inc. two vegetables) a tea (4.30pm) which offers savoury & sweet content, & an optional supper (8pm-10pm). All medicines are individually provided; doctor visits on
Wednesdays for anybody. We can visit shops easily, accompanied by an escort, distant forays (funerals, weddings etc) are also possible. Bedrooms, inc beds are maintained.

I really could not find any faults with the care being given to my Father. The staff are amazing with him, even though he's quite demanding and not always as polite as the staff deserve.
He is always clean and his room spotless.
Couldn't wish for more.
I like that they all know him
(infamously?) and he's always called by his name and treated respectfully.

My sister had very severe dementia and was unable to care for herself at home. She passed away recently. During all this time she was cared for by the carers and senior carers with respect and nothing was too much for them. They thought an awful lot of her and treated her as they would have done for
a family member. We had no worries, as we know she was safe and very well looked after. They kept us informed of any health problems and made sure they were brought to the attention of ourselves and the medics. Overall, it was a warm and very friendly care home for my sister and for ourselves. I'm glad she went into Saffron House and thank all the staff, managers and carers for how they looked after her. I would have no worries recommending Saffron House because of this care they gave. It was excellent.

My mother-in-law came into the home back in May this year. She was very anxious when she arrived, but the care and treatment she has received have been excellent. Whenever I come to visit, she is full of smiles. When I visited last week, she said how the staff always offer to help me, and it was
lovely to see all the residents enjoying the entertainment that comes into sing.

The care and kindness my mum receives are excellent from the manager and all of her staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Always greeted with a smile from everyone, and always kept extremely well informed of any problems/health issues. We never have any worries about Mum as we know she is in very safe
hands. Would highly recommend this home to anyone as feel it is of a standard that all care homes should aspire to.

Could not praise the home enough for everything they have done for Mum and keeping her safe during these uncertain times. The visits have been well organised and very efficient.
Staff have done a great job, even when the family’s turned up out of the blue during my visit, they still tried to
accommodate them where they could. Staff have been amazing, well organised by management. I praise the admin who managed to cope with all us family members trying to get visitors just before lockdown. Thank you.

These care staff are very good and attentive to my mum from what I seen so far and can’t fault that. The only issue really I have is with the booking system to see mum as I when I called yesterday I was told 'I can’t book today and that I will have to call Monday as I think it’s booked for next
week' (I was told booking is all done by computer so to be told I 'think', in my eyes was personal). I was so upset by the way I was dealt with so my stepdad called and he was booked in where I was told they couldn’t, to my surprise. I was promised callbacks twice which I never received. Admin told my stepdad 'he will turn up won't he as I cancelled twice.' I explained and called to cancel that I had migraines which I lost my sight and I have 4 or 5 a month. Unfortunately, I had these migraines on the day. So for the admin team not very sympathetic by their comments to my stepdad and this is pure without prejudice. I just feel that they didn’t want to deal with me and saw me as hindrance.

We had to put my father and mother in law in Saffron House for respite care after mother in law had a fall.
They were both respected and treated with dignity from all members of staff.
We and they found the staff very friendly and we could not fault the care that was provided to them during
their four week stay.

Mum has been in Saffron House for six months with severe dementia. The care provided by the staff has been excellent and the facilities are very good. After a short stay in Saffron House my father passed away there in March 2016 and the end of life care provided by the staff was excellent.
