My mother has been a resident for 5 half years at Fir Close. She is now on end of life care for advanced dementia and related health issues. The staff is caring, kind and knowledgeable. I feel supported in my role as Mum's only living child. I visit frequently and always find Mum well-looked after.
The staff obviously know her well and anticipate her needs. They have always listened to her.

My sister is very well cared for at Fir Close. She is always happy. I love coming to Fir Close to see my sister, residents & staff. It is a very happy atmosphere. When I leave to go home, I say bye to my sister without feeling upset.

My experience of Fir Close and its staff are friendly and approachable if we have any concerns regarding in my case, my sister, who has down syndrome & stage two dementia. The staff are always willing to listen and take on board any concerns I have. We had a few hiccups when my sister first went
into Fir Close, but talking with the staff sorted them out. The cleanliness of the home is excellent, and so is the food they serve. My sister's room is cosy and has everything she needs: wardrobe space and drawers, etc. The reception facility are also good with plenty of activities for the residents.

Fir Close is easy to find with good parking facilities. I found the home to be spacious, clean and warm with good resident safety measures. The staff were excellent with the residents, very caring and helpful for their needs. This caused the atmosphere between them to be noticeably very good.
Everyone seemed happy with good banter. The meals looked very good and the carrot cake!

Staff are very attentive and compassionate. Helpful and supportive with trying to get Dad back home and looking after him whilst he was using the facilities here. Felt like they’d gone above and beyond and met Dad’s wishes and needs. Will be forever grateful for their help.

I recently attended a Resident and family meeting with my mum whilst visiting (my auntie a resident), I would like to say that the manager and staff are all caring supportive and have the residents at heart. The residents were able to contribute to the menus and to forthcoming activities and trips
into the local community with everyone having an opportunity to contribute in the meeting.
My auntie thrives at Fir Close with all the activities and family atmosphere there. Having her hair and nails done weekly/fortnightly, her room is tidy and clean and the carers are respectful and kind. She enjoys the food from the cook and kitchen team and appreciates her clothes being washed and managed too.
As a relative our family appreciate the photos that Fir Close post regularly keeping us up to date with the activities. We have always had a warm welcome from all the staff and would like to say thank you for all there continued hard work and kindness in providing care for my auntie, thank you.

Our daughter was admitted 1st Nov 2020 due to a crisis at home and due to covid, we have not been able to enter building. We have had excellent contact with the manager and other staff. We were very impressed with being able to use the POD to visit our daughter and have also spoken to her on the
telephone.

Fir Close is one happy family. The staff are all very welcoming and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a cosy, inviting atmosphere and interesting activities and visits take place.
From my first-hand experience, the care is excellent and the needs of the residents always
come first. I have it on good authority that the food is very good too!

Having to find a care home for respite for my 103-year-old mother was a stress and worry for me. Coming across Fir Close by a friend's recommendation was a God send. From our first contact and visit to the home, I was put at ease. The staff were warm and welcoming and the residents appeared well
cared for. I have just collected my mother from a week's respite, she has loved it and cannot find fault with the care she has received. In fact, she is looking forward to her next visit. Fir Close and staff have been wonderful. I can't thank them enough.

The home as a whole has been extremely supportive of my mum who as not been well over the last year or so. The staff as individuals have developed strong and positive relationships with her, meeting her needs under difficult circumstances. This is particularly reassuring as I do not live nearby, but
am able to trust that she is safe and cared for.

Fir Close is one happy family. The staff are all very welcoming and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. There is always a cosy, inviting atmosphere and interesting activities and visits take place.
